Sunday 15th Glasgow - Paphos

Three games this month: Away to Rangers --- I believe the boys will be well up for this, based on previous form at Castle Greyskull. and will, at the very least, come away with a point. Though the Huns are there for the taking so three points is a possibility. Home to Falkirk --- This is a definite must win game. We've got to get two home wins on a run to give the boys a boost. To show there is no curse on TCS. And to show the home fans we can do it. Besides the three points are needed. Away to St Mirren--- This is revenge for the hiding we got first game of the season. Got to show them the real ICT. And another three points of course. So, all in all, I will be expecting at least seven points in October. Sadly I'm going to be in sunny Cyprus for the home game but I'll defo be at the two away matches. And before all the negative posters get in just remember, we've only lost two out of nine games so far this season. Only Celtic can better that. And Hearts can equal it. What a stupid statement! I have never been a BF fan, especially since he came back north, but I would like to think that, when all those available to play are being scrutinised on the training ground, Walter Smith will pick the best team to face the French on the day. Remember, just cos he's in the squad, he may not even play.

And, as for players of other races, there will be such a player at ICT in the not too distant future. More and more good players are coming over to Britian from African and Carribean countries, where they see the wages, even those paid paid by clubs such as ours, conditions and future prospects as being a great deal better than they could ever achieve in their home nations.

Lack of goalmouth action ---- could that have had anything to do with the nine dunfermline defenders.

What is needed is for the wide midfielders to get to the corners when the wing backs go forward. We have to start playing the width of the pitch along its full length. No point having the widest pitch in the league if we dont use it all to our advantage. For me Rankin's a left of central midfielder.

For all you with good ideas, the Highland News is running a competition. Personally I think more noise from both stands would give the players a bit of a lift. I was in hospitality seat last sat and the only times I heard any noise was the two or three times we went into attack mode. We need a loud PA system and an anouncer who can gee up the fans if and when we score. A tune that is recognisable and synonimus with ICT that is belted out before the kick off and at half time and any time we score. Thats the sort of thing that makes Tynecastle one of the best places to go. They gee up the fans. We also need something at half time. Another thought is a pipeband. I'm sure the Legion band would be willing to perform on match days for the right to watch us play and a few coins in thier bucket. Maybe we even need the drums back. Give the team a lift with supportive noise that will drown out the opposition as well as the loudmouthed critics who shout nothing but abuse.

Can't always blame ticket prices on poor turnout. Main stand Dunfermline game there was a lot of empty season ticket seats. Those are seats that have already been paid for but for whatever reason the holders chose not to attend this match.

One thing everyone is missing here is the fact that Dargo is seen by the opposition as a threat and is shadowed close so finds it hard to get into space. As for the long ball, this is not what CC wants. Unfortunately we dont have defenders who can play the ball out of defence so, when the pressure is on, they tend to punt the ball up the park. For a passing game to be successful it is necessary to attack from defence. We are working on it but, I think, nerves get the better of them when the pressure is on. I think things will get better. Rossco and Hastings are making runs forward but they come unstuck because we dont really have midfielders getting into the corners and working the ball into the box. Maybe we should look at playing three up front. Good old fashioned wing forwards playing the ball into and a centre forward of the Dargo class who can direct the ball goalwards. But, to all the CC critics, change takes time to develop. Its very hard to knock a particular style out of a player overnight.

Apparantly he's unhappy at not getting a first team place and may be offered out on loan in January. Does anyone think he could do a job for us and could we afford him till end of season.

As I said above johnboy, its David Sutherland and Tulloch Ltd who have the major involvement in ICT. Not Tulloch Construction. So I dont see it making any difference.
