He's wearing a Marie Curie daffy on the same side as I wear mine. Deffo got to go.
  4. I'll be up all night trying to understand it
  5. Sorry KB.....got to disagree. Hughes has a car parking space at front of the stadium so he must stay.

Hughes causes the wear and tear in the goal mouths. He's got to go.
  7. Looking for four leaf clover
  8. Not sure how thats arrived at. My understanding is that if the winners have already qualified for a Europa League place then the runners up get the cup place. Hence Gretna, Falkirk Dunfermline and Queen of the South playing in europe in recent years.. I know the SPL tried to change the ruling so that next top team would qualify over runners up but not sure if it ever happened. On saying that I'm sure Motherwell got the place when County were runners up.
  9. 19th and 26th April. 3rd, 7th and 10th May. 12th/13th April Scottish Cup semis
  10. The dates are already known. Its just the fixtures that need sorted. I'd hope it'll be soon now that the split teams are known.
  11. We'll have a new home strip for next season anyway...and the current away strip will remain and just have the sponsor details changed. Would be nice if it was a home strip that went some way to reflecting our heritage rather than being a Rangers tribute act. Red and Black verticles??
  12. That's not how I understand it. The only time the cup runners up get the Europa spot is if the cup winners have qualified for the Champions league. Therefore if the league finishes with ICT 4th behind Aberdeen and Motherwell; DU v Aberdeen final = Aberdeen win, ICT in Europe, DU win, them in Europe DU v St J final = Winners in Europe Aberdeen v Rangers = 4th place in Europe regardless of result Rangers v St Johnstone = Rangers win, ICT in Europe, ST J win, them in Europe My understanding.........there is one Champions league place for league winners and two Europa for 2nd and 3rd + one for cup winners. If cup winners already qualify then the place goes to runners up. Also cup winners cannot already be in Champions League this season
  13. The only real certainty of getting to europe is to finish third. Fourth place is not a guarantee. Without meaning to sound pessimistic I feel we may have blown our european hopes. Even with a game in hand its going to take something special to dislodge Aberdeen or Motherwell. Assuming we overtake DU for 4th and Motherwell/Aberdeen stay where they are the scenario would be DU v Aberdeen final = DU in Europe regardless of result. DU v St J final = Winners in Europe Aberdeen v Rangers = 4th place in Europe regardless of result Rangers v St Johnstone = St Johnstone in Europe
  14. 05/06 Season.......................13/14 Season 7512 v Rangers....................No Games 6704 v Hearts.......................4034 6809 v Aberdeen,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,4810 7382 v Celtic.........................6384 7017 v Hibs...........................4261 7380 v Rangers....................No Games 5027 v Hearts.......................3392 7368 v Aberdeen..................Only 1 home game 05/06 was very much a novelty trip for many away fans. I've said it before and I say it again. Our home gates will always average a little over 4000. We have a core support of less than 3000 and the visitors can't afford to travel. Thats the reality and no amount of discussion is going to change it. Highland region is an area where football is not the be all and end all of spectator sports. Professional football in the region is very young and other interests were chosen many years before. Nobody can suddenly change attitudes and expect mass involvement overnight. One day in the distant future we may well exceed our current averages but I dont see that happening by very much in my lifetime. It is also a fact that gates are down at every other ground in the country barring the two faced with extinction.
  15. To OP. If you're unable to choose the individuals that fit into your formation then there's no hope for success. I'd go old fashioned 4-4-2 Brill Raven Meekings Warren Shinnie Doran Draper Foran Ross Christie Mckay

I think one of Yogi's problems at the moment is he needs half a game to suss out the opposition. I think, agreeing with what RiG is saying, when things aren't looking good after twenty minutes changes should be made.
  17. Rangers indeed cant play in Europe. We still need to get a fourth place for a chance regardless of SC winners and that means overtaking someone and that would likely need to be Aberdeen or DU as I think they and not Motherwell are the ones who'll drop points.

    For Mahonio
  19. 554 minutes.
  20. Every season ticket holder could have taken a friend for free. How would you go about giving a ST holder a discount anyway. They do get opportunities when books go on sale.
  21. Even an ICT Tayside and Angus. We'd need a slogan though

When will he get that chance? We have a squad signed up for next season with little scope for for the manager to build even if he had that ambition. So far he hasn't brought much to the club but we are stuck with him for the time being so I hope he can listen to others' advice and play to the strengths of the players we have. None of us know whats going to happen in next window. We may have players signed who become targets for other clubs with some cash. We may have players signed that will be let go because they dont feature in Yogi's plans. And even if none of that applies we still need a couple for cover. Especially a decent striker.
  23. From now to end of season we have a lot of midweek games. I'd imagine Ryan will feature a bit more and I think come next season he'll get a fair few starts.
  24. Really good interview and insight into what goes on behind the scenes. And if further inspiration is needed then look no further than the big man behind the media operation. Someone with a true passion for the club and appreciation of our situation. Someone who, though a falling out resulted in him being relieved of his duties as announcer some time ago, persisted in his quest to give the fans what they were screaming out for as far as transparency and information output were concerned. I'm also sure the big man hasn't yet achieved the full potential of what he's aiming for and that there's a lot more to come. A big well done and thank you to Caleyd and his media team.
