  1. I believe McSwegan will give us something. Admittedly I'm surprised at the signing but I will reserve judgement till I've seen him play. He suffered a groin problem, for the last four or so years, that our wonderful health service couldn't even diagnose properly. Now he has had that all sorted and is determined to get back to form so perhaps CC's not as stupid as some would have him. Gary was once a very good player and at 35 is not too old to get back to somewhere near his best. Age shouldn't be a problem. Look at Brew, still playing at 39. Latapy also about 40. Alan Shearer stopped at 40ish. If the guy can get back his former skills, even just for 20 mins a game, he could be a **** good asset. Don't knock him till he's had his chance.
  2. So CC is now the bad guy cos he hasn't signed someone. Fact: Every club in the league, apart from OF, are looking for the same type of player and have failed to secure any. Fact: There just isnt an abundance of good players out there at the price we can afford. Fact: Another thousand or two through the gates EVERY week would give us the funds to attract people. CC cant be blamed if there isnt anyone available. I'm sure he has tried his best. He's not looking for anyone available. He's looking for people who will fit into our team. Be part of our team ethics and be good for our club. As things stand we do have enough cover to get by for the time being and maybe the trialists will succeed
  3. Quite a number of sites require registration. I'm registered with a few SPL official sites for research purposes. Registration is normally required to gain access to info such as player profiles etc.
  4. There was a couple of midfielders offered but we've plenty of them already.
  5. Dont mean to be pedantic Don but your suggestion was to sign a pole. The lassie's suggestion is bi-lingual advertising :001: :001: I have no doubt that this chairman will put his hand in his pocket but we dont want to be in a position where he actually needs to. If he can draw on investment from abroad then all the better. Inverness is becoming an internationally recognised city and I would imagine that the chairmans hoping that if foriegn money is going to be invested in the city then some of it could come to the club. An american tour in the summer would likely make us money, provided the costs were sponsored, because the Yanks are beginning to open up to soccer and they just love Scattland
  6. Was that the fiancee or the daughter Mairi
  7. Did that chairman not then go to Huntly
  8. Correct me if I'm wrong here Davie but how can he feck of to Hibs tomorrow. He is still contracted to next year regardless of whether he signs his extention or not. Blackie has publicly stated that he is satisfied with his new terms and would be signing when he can get his agent up. Stop panicking. The mans staying.
  9. sez ceefax. Their guy apparantly walked at the weekend and Pele is favourite for the job.
  10. Oh, right. Thought maybe you meant Perth to Aberdeen where I can be found having a refreshment once a month or even Aberdeen back to Perth a fortnight later.
  11. What train is that pele
  12. I think you'll find the problem is getting all parties together at the one time.
  13. Maybe its someone from the Tic, now they have Gravesen. Rocco Quinn could be a good option for up front.
  14. Pele's going back to Huntly.
  15. Confirmed on official site that match will be tuesday. £15 and £5 entries.
  16. Things look promising, especially the trialists. Linky thingy to CC's latest statement
  17. Dont we already have a nessie as well as the 'pissin lion thingy'
  18. Mantis, hope you also included Richie Hart who's nationality is English: Richie Hart
  19. Link to official site: Match report If this is from Fiona then its a very good piece of journalism and a good reflection of what I saw.
  20. NNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! Ask the question again when we've played all teams in the league.
  21. Ted, if this is the biggest load of cr*p we've ever played then how come the stats say different. We had as many chances as the opposition but they made theirs count. Our defence made errors, as they do in every game. Only this game the opposition capatilised on those errors. I dont think our players gave the ball away any more than the opposition did, nor did they make any more or less mistakes. When looking at our performance against a team who qualified for european competition, and who fielded at least six international players I think we can hold our heads up today.
  22. Just back from what, for me, is probably one of the best performances I've seen from ICT in a long time. Nobody could be faulted and we matched Hearts on the pitch. Unfortunately the luck aspect went more their way today. The scoreline totally flattered them. We can take a lot of positives from this game and if we keep up this type of performance we'll still make top six.
  23. My starting lineup would be: Brown Dods Caff Munro Tokely Hastings Wilson Black Hart Rankin Bayne Not 100% sure about Rankin but all the rest will be able to handle what I think will be quite a physical game.
  24. As maimie says there is likely to be a good number of central belt fans who will turn up unaware of ticketing policy. Surely if there are a lot of ticketless people Hearts will do something. I dont understand their mentality in this one. Is Romanov so rich he doesnt need the gate reciepts.
  25. Richard, 45k is for city and doesnt take acount of places on the edge like Culloden, North Kessock Lochend etc. Dundee figure doesn't include Tayport, Carnoustie etc.
