  1. Watching all the threads I see Robbo is seen by some as the saviour of ICTFC This is the man who left tempted by higher money at Hearts As a pundit, I admit he has knowledge , but so have most posters on this forum!! He turned down the Liberia job.. any port in a storm! Mind you Latvia need a coach/ manager? does he know where Latvia is?? As an aside, why is it written in contracts, that compensation is due when someone is sacked, what you get paid for failure??? When Alex and or I win the Euro lottery, watch out.. performance related pay, no *issing up after a defeat, train on Sunday instead. C'mon shoot me down!!
  2. Seriously, when the f*ck did this become the Strathpiss Thistle fans forum?! Been wanting to say this for a while now, coz it's annoying as feck how all you ever do is come on here and go on about them, and how you get into their games for free and its all fine and dandy over there. Good. No one gives a f*ck though to be honest. Back on topic.. Robbo as Manager with Bazza his Assistant, Pele as scout, Renegade as Head Coach and IHE Director of Fitba. Talk about a dream team. I need a drink... No!! you need a check up from the neck up!!!
  3. Can I wish you a happy burthday all the way from Latvai, am off to Dubai tomorrow and will have a drink on you, the bill is in the post
  4. So was Alex Ferguson he was looking for strikers but Tescos had run out of matches!!
  5. May i be the first to take a shot Latviaman, are you reading the other threads? There are plenty of folk calling for Butcher's head just there has been since the County game. They think things won't get any better but others think they might. We're 7 games into a new (very open and unpedictable) league with a new squad. Give them a decent crack at it before you start calling for heads. Stan, respect what you have said over many threads, My problem is , we/ you the fans pay to watch ICTFC , if they go on the Razz after a disasterous game. then the time is to say enuf, I thought a performance pay thing was a bad idea, just another mad idea from Regenade So far the team has not been good, this season, no heart, no umph, is that how you spell it??, But hey ho carry on, Alex and I are into the Euro Millions Lottery
  6. Ah the tourist's favourite purchase, I mean amber!!Wonderful beach in Jurmala, played beach footy last night.. and yes I can now speak Latvian proper, but soemtimes the odd german word creeps in!!
  7. C'mon all I seem to read on the site is TB is ok as is MM and we will get better, on the basis so far ... nil chance I read that the team go on the razz at night, mind u in Invss , the last time I was there, nicht RAZZ, so where is the management? in Perthshire???? on the red wine razz So ICTFC employ professional?? footballers, and so far are not living up to the expectations that the wages provide them the lifestyle they now lead. Before they were signed? what divisions were they languishing in, and now whoopee, a mug? has signed them, so okay , you guys, make the motions for a year and hey ho!! When Alex wins the Euro millions after me , I would dump the dross ,, start a new team of local / or at a stretch Englishpeople, who want to play, pull on the shirt, be proud of it, and have a manager who walks the walk, not JR, but I have someone in mind... when Alex and I win Euro Millions, in seperate weeks, watch out
  8. When I was recently in Invss , the first time in many years , I was amazed at the number of Polish people here. Mind you when we went to Ireland we were surprised at the number of Latvians there. Mrs L felt at home, so suppose it is all relative!!I left Invss to join the fleet air arm, basically to learn to fly at the taxpayers expense(Honesty) and on leaving joined the flag carrying airline, No! not Ryan Air!! I came home to Inss often as I got free-ish flights, and over the years then saw , in my opinion, the town gradually going downhill. When I was here in August I was amazed at the prices of things, cigs nearly 6 gbp, here in Latvia 1.50, A bottle of whisky , price made me gulp . Here one litre of Bells 5.00gbp so the cost of living is cheaper. But what struck me most was the amount of, when I was home were the number of weirdos on the streets, I was with a friend and was accosted by drunks asking for cigs / cash, so we cut the evening short, mind you there was nowhere to go!! Having said that my secondary busines is a pub in Riga which I run with another Pilot, we serve English/ Scottish beer and in the summer get inundated with Drunk Stag partiesfrom England and Ireland, so guess it is the same the world over. If you have a football team and want to come to Riga in the summer I can arrange games and buy ONE pint for each member Ryan air do cheap flights if you book 4 months in advance from Stanstead, maybe see you
  9. Prince charles, flew with him and his brother in the FAA Brother is a *rick Charles was ok Lulu Naomi Campbell and she wasn't pissed on the plane Bob Geldof Mike Mcgear Paul MCartneys brother Ian St John Alan Gilzean Ally Mcoist all good guys Billy Connely big headed Jane Birkin looks old now!! Lisa Stansfield in Latvia , down to earth good laugh' Joe Cocker in Latvia for song competition Robin Gibb as above Bored now I've yet to meet CaleyD
  10. I still find him funny.... That little routine he did on TV not so long ago, when he was exploring Belfast, and discovered a graveyard where a 3ft thick solid wall separated the catholic graves from the protestant graves! Hilarious!! Russel Brand *anker
  11. I was going to go to this game, but i didnt have enough money...Not often having no money is a good thing! so the knives are already poised for Butchers head? Tis said away form isn't great so what do you do rely on a point away and hope the home form stands up. who would you pundits suggest to manage, if Butcher goes
  12. you seem to be defending him quite a bit!! Would he be in your starting 11? I know that is not directed at me but I would play him against Partick. Its only a cup game and it is a perfect chance to see if he can bounce back. It is better than playing him in a league game which is im my opinion way more important than the challenge cup Its also the perfect chance to make changes to the team ahead of a massive game down at morton in 2 weeks. Mainly Lionel out!!!! Look at all the threads on him, when I was in France I saw many second div games Lionel would NOT get a game, he is a muppet, waste of money , but what does Malplas know about football...
  13. I agree with all of that.... and yes, Lionel played in midfield, or even up front, wouldn't do so much damage. He'd also be more likely to score than the likes of Rooney or Barrowman. I love the guy. Well sober up , he is a disaster which happens on a regular basis, he would not make a second div French side on a good day!!!!
  14. Spot on my son!! Sorry guys and girls BLip on the computer
  15. Perhaps you could fill some of that spare time by enrolling in a basic literacy programme. B**ch
  16. So slightly off centre, but what? management skills has he got, look back at his reord, well promulgated n this site. In his managerial career he acheived nought!!! so why do you perserve with him I truly wonder and as for MM he can go down the road. To throw my hat in, I say get JR back he loves the club, tie him to a contract, he will not leave this time, he has got something to prove and he will

    FAO Robbo

I think being away I have maybe lost the thread of this!! TK maxx staff, on 500 GBP a week?? the police here, in Latvia, get 200 gbp, per month, hence footballers from here in Latvia looking for a contact in the UK. I do know good players here but cannot afford the envelopes / backhanders to become an agent in Latvia, all down to money here. But so far a good start to the season, mostly positives, so far, but treat each game as a final, and maybe .. just maybe!!!!
  18. I knew him quite well. I was also at the funeral and it was nice to see the Thistle ties. I know that his wife appreciated the boys wearing them. Yes the trouble was I am terrible with names, there were a lot of people there, am surprised no-one else remembers him, he was great friends of Mr ITFC Jock Mc Donald
  19. :021: :D :025: Whilst I tend to agree that we need to win as many of our home games as we can if we want to win the league, use of the term "the likes of" smacks of the same arrogance that we so often complained about from others when we were one of the unfancied teams in the SPL. Did anyone expect Raith to almost do one on Dundee ? or for there to be 4 draws out of 5 this week ? As Jimmy Greaves used to say .... "Its a funny old game" !!! alright .... off to the pub now to get ready for Toronto FC -V- DC United which kicks off at BMO Field at 4pm my time .... its swelteringly hot today so the wardrobe is shorts and TFC polo shirt, and on the menu is a pitcher or two of Alexander Keiths. Jealous of you SCOTTY!! off to play footy for Riga United tonite so the pitchers will wait till later, mind you we lost 6-1 last week, but we now have a secret weapon, someone who knows where the goal is!! will keep you informed. byt the way listened to all the game for inspiration? but nothing came , but I thought it was a good result, Ayr sounded sound
  20. Joan rivers No!! but JO Brand is funny Russel Brand and Harry Hill leave me stone cold and Jonathan ROss vastly over-rated waste of space all three
  21. We played here in Latvia against an English team and at 1.30 we held a minutes silence for the memory of Bobby Robson .. so far away but our thought were with his family and what he contributed to the beautiful game. PLUS we lost
  22. Well you guys I was in Moscow with a dead plane,(electrics) so we had to stay overnight, we got tickets for the Celtic game and it was ok they played well Dinamo were poor, but it was funny to see celtic guys with the russian hats after. I met Tony Mowbray at the airport, a nice guy
  23. I'd never turn over the Radio if he was on, great Act but I didnt like his case's and the millions of out of court settlements, he is/was good though.... I feel old reading this I still play beatles and stones,
  24. Came back to Sneck and the first thing I read was Denny Eames from thistle days had died, he was involved ages ago, secretary/ treasurer ... so went to his funeral and saw a lot of ex thistle players there , so by the time I had a few pints it was time to come back, otherwise no job!! And i did not see a match but back november Does anyone remember him????
  25. I wrote a thread on the site ages ago, re' what if we got relegated, and if no money, would we be looking to the lower reaches, of any division to get CHEAP players. What do I see inneuendo, promises of he might come. or maybe him, the phrase regarding Brewery and **ss up strikes a chord. You have some good youth players, Alex Ferguson , is an example built and encouraged a youth team, look what came from that ... might take time , but a force to be reckoned with Will be in Invss in July, and will catch two games , plus a few pints at the Innes Bar
