  1. Might such a move constitute a material change in the application? If so then that is not permitted when going to appeal and would mean an immediate rejection.
  2. I think some people are mixing up youth football and academy football.
  3. Someone's sounding desperate. Resign before YOU kill the club. At least the fans would then have a chance to undo the mess you've created.
  4. There's every chance that Gardiner (and maybe Morrison) had been working up this plan themselves and it was only presented to the board last week. If that was the case it might give some reason (although no excuse) for the delay in getting any statement out as I imagine anyone who voted for it would have needed some convincing. It would also explain why no rumours of it had leaked.
  5. If any journalists are reading you can have this one on me. SuperCaleysBatShitCrazyKeltyPlanAtricious
  6. Rumours are that Bennet has resigned.
  7. Apparently both Esson and Kellacher are highly respected coaches and if not for the fact they are settled here they'd have been poached by bigger clubs a long time ago. If that's the case then I can't see them wanting to relocate. If they were going to relocate then it would be for better than we could offer them in Kelty.
  8. Then more fool them if they continue to ignore the fans. Read the room. A sizeable portion of an already diminishing fanbase are saying they'd rather have no club than support the abomination it has/is becoming.
  9. That's just the stuff we know about.
  10. You can keep on supporting it. We just don't want you running it.
  11. Talking of busses. That will be another local long term backer (D&E Coaches) getting the two fingers as we'll now be giving money to a central belt based coach company to drive the team to all games.
  12. But according to ours and Kelty's statements the plan was there even if we had stayed in the Championship. So nothing to do with being in League 1.
  13. It was a big enough pond for 20+ years and during times when scouting was much tougher than it is now. It wasn't easy but we managed it time and again. Lots of people on here proclaiming that players hate coming here but all you hear from the players who've done it is praise for how great it is/was. Perhaps the club should have called on them to do some PR. Produce videos selling life as a footballer in Inverness. All we've done here is say 'life as a footballer in Inverness is so bad we're moving'. How do you then flip that story if/when we return north? If those providing the financial backing previously are no longer willing to do so then perhaps because they're fed up of it being p'ssed away on failed get rich quick schemes whilst the club has continued to slide backwards in every area. If Ross Morrison is £1.4M into it then that's from his own doing and the club/fans should not be the ones to suffer further from his incompetence as a result. It stinks of decisions being made so he might get his money back instead of what's best for the club.

  15. Even by Gardiner standards this is off the scale. As someone who doesn't live locally I'm not surprised to see Yngwie trying to justify the club's position. There's been a lot of talk about community and how the club have been alienating themselves in that regard for a few years now. Community is about identity and belonging and a few other things which are hard to quantify in any directly measurable way. However there is also the economic contribution that comes from being part of a community and that to has now been removed. Fans, sponsors, advertisers etc. who are all based locally will now see a sizeable chunk of that money being spent elsewhere by players and staff who are no longer living or spending time here. It's not just another 2 fingers up at the fans, it's another f*ck you to local businesses. The same local businesses they were begging to renew advertising boards early just a few weeks ago as a favour. Way to go ICTFC, f*cking way to go. Now get to f*ck the lot of you.
  16. I did (quietly) join the trust a few weeks back. Admittedly it was more out of nosiness and £5 to get any comms from them wasn't a big investment. My hope is that they will now step up to the plate in a more direct manner as they're probably the last hope for fans.
  17. I think it would be good to poll members and fans on what action/s they want to see or are willing to support as a consequence of the club failing to meet demands.

I would caution getting caught up with correlation vs causation on dates. Especially pertinent for a role which would require some post season work/tidying up. It was also stated by the club that he was leaving to pursue other opportunities in the game. That would suggest he was free to do so or had something lined up. It certainly doesn't give any indication of gardening leave, continued payment or any restriction on him taking other employment. It's murky whichever way you view it.

Going by the article he was contracted.

But they didn't terminate his contract. They continued to pay it while he was off doing other things. They could have just run it down and told him it would be reviewed nearer it's expiry point. The same as they have done with players. Imagine every player who wasn't going to be given a contract renewal was allowed to just head off on gardening leave for the last 7 months of their deal?
  22. Be careful. Quite a few people came at me for boycotting spending my money with the club over the past season.

The big question is why did the club put him on gardening leave? We were constantly told he was doing important work with various things including the new football development up by the IRA. Even if he wasn't doing that then even if he was just answering phones or serving in the shop we could/would have got some value out of him. And to think that some people were using his departure to defend the current regime for sensible cost cutting.
  24. Anyone taking bets on them having got rid of the web/social media person and all now sitting around scratching their heads wondering how they put a statement out?
