How`s he getting on since his move to greener pastures?

Thought we could keep an eye on him & have a good laugh at his expense when opportunity arises.

I cant see him turning them around this season anyway ,if at all.

Likely headlines after the 7th consecutive defeat " Rod Petrie kicks in Butchers new office door! "

In terms of league position our last 2 seasons have been our best 2 seasons ever and we have Terry Butcher to thank for that.  On a very limited budget he and his management team did an excellent job

Presume that's Ian McCall!

Has he not kicked the bucket/paint pot or slung his hook/waterbottle?

I cannot see him going. it would be very odd to allow Butcher to release players from Easter Road that he didn't fancy only to punt him a week or so later. I suspect he will be getting told exactly what is expected of him next season and when he needs to have done certain things by or what budgets he has to work with.

I suspect it's a dispute between Rod Petrie and Leeann Dempster.  Petrie looks at the books and doesn't want to spend money on getting rid.  Dempster looks at a successful team and doesn't think Butcher is tenable.

Just a guess mind you but that's what I see from my comments.

Butcher sacked.

I see on the Hibs site, they're always talking about getting rid of Butcher and bringing McCall in.

Well, at least we don't have to worry about losing our manager on this occasion!

Some timing with that post

Thomson and McPake were possibly Hibs best players.  Obviously some big problems between them and Butcher but they would have been big players in the (groan, must I use this term?) Championship.

Ian Murray the obvious contender with people like Jimmy Calderwood/Nicholl in there of course too.  It'll be interesting as we could see whether it's a promotion-drive or a long-term solution.  I suspect it will be little money but expecting promotion against a better Rangers and Hearts, then another sacking.

Where will he go next?

I reckon Leann Dempster will pull out all stops for Stuart McCall. As for Butcher... I think he will go off the face of the planet for a few seasons.

....that day at Easter Road in November is indelible. He got what he deserved after his graceless exit from ICT.

Oh no ! Has he really been sacked. What will we do without ButcherWatch ?

There will be no more `links` if he`s got the `chop` I feel for`lorne.

I just can't see McCall going to Hibs.  What could he gain?  A play-off place?  Third?  His stock is pretty high right now.  Certainly Rangers or English Championship/top Div 1.  It's not just about money for him either, as has been shown in the past.

Danny Lennon would probably be uninspiring but I think he'd be good for them.  I'd prefer Neil Lennon mind you.  Let's see how good he is without the cash.  Not great I suspect.
