I'd definitely keep him, if we could get him signed up for at least another 2 years beyond the end of his current contract. Otherwise, obviously I'd cash in. Assuming he did sign up for 2 more years that would take him beyond next world cup. If he were still to be in Romanian team then, assuming they qualify, then his value would be even greater than it is now.

I'm well aware of the fact that he was on loan. However, I didn't know that it was 'his choice' not to stay and fight for a place. Where did that info come from?

Crazy in my opinion to have to spend money on a keeper when we had a perfectly good back up in Zibi. The money they will spend on a keeper could have been used more wisely on another defender.

I really do hope the board looks further than the immediate profit and signs him up for another year (or two).

I remember inventing a game I called Crolis, being a mix of CRicket, gOLf and tennIS. You needed a hard standing area with a wall. You drew a line on the hard base about six feet from the wall. You had to hit a golf ball against the wall with a cricket bat, hard enough so that it bounced back over the line, allow it to bounce once on the hard base, and then hit it against the wall again, and keep going in a form of 'keepy uppy'. Sounds easier than it was. I remember becoming quite good at it, but finding a suitable venue often became problematical as the wall owners often objected!

Andrew Just checking! I correctly predicted Spain v Italy to be a draw, and Spain to win the shoot out. Is this not worth 2 points ? Plus 2 bonus points for Villa not scoring makes 4 by my reckonning. Or, are you saying that if I had incorrectly picked Italy to win the shoot out, I would not have received the point for predicting the draw? Seems a bit harsh to only get 1 point for correctly predicting a draw and the winner of the shoot out.
