  1. Despite giving him full marks for effort, I have never thought that Bayne cuts the mustard at SPL level. I'm surprised he didn't leave in the last transfer window when there were rumours of Killie offering ?50K for him. Anyway, I hope he finds a new home soon, to everyone's benefit.

  4. I wrote my message to Marius in Romanian. First I received the automated reply, and today I received a personal reply complimenting me on my Romanian, so he obviously has read his messages.

  9. It would 'what exactly' to see him back at ICT? Choose from following list - - be great - be terrible - be a surprise - be a miracle - be a waste of money
  10. A man was washed up on a beach after a terrible shipwreck. Only a sheep and a sheepdog were washed up with him. After looking around, he realized that they were stranded on a deserted island. After being there awhile, he got into the habit of taking his two animal companions to the beach every evening to watch the sunset. One particular evening, the sky was a fiery red with beautiful cirrus clouds, the breeze was warm and gentle - a perfect night for romance. As they sat there, the sheep started looking better and better to the lonely man. Soon, he leaned over to the sheep and put his arm around it. But the sheepdog, ever protective of the sheep, growled fiercely until the man took his arm from around the sheep. After that, the three of them continued to enjoy the sunsets together, but there was no more cuddling. A few weeks passed by and, lo and behold, there was another shipwreck. The only survivor was Hillary Clinton. That evening, the man brought Hillary to the evening beach ritual. It was another beautiful evening - red sky, cirrus clouds, a warm and gentle breeze - perfect for a night of romance. Pretty soon, the man started to get 'those feelings' again.. He fought the urges as long as he could but he finally gave in and leaned over to Hillary and told her he hadn't had sex for months. Hillary batted her eyelashes and asked if there was anything she could do for him. He said, 'Would you mind taking the dog for a walk?'
  11. Can't see him coming back. He was absolutely gash last seson anyway. I, for one, wouldn't want him.
  12. Could be worse. What if they forced people to pay for treatment through the nose?
  13. I'd have him too. I'm sure he has another season or two as a player, and he could do a job for us.
  14. Yes, Richard rarely seems to get the credit he deserves on our forum, but he seems to be a regular in the Canada team which has performed pretty decently whilst he has played for them. Well done.
  15. Brewster scouring lower English Leagues for players has led me to wonder how the leagues compare. Here's my take on it. I'm sure others will have different views - SPL Rangers/Celtic about mid table English Premiership (about Blackburn's level in my view) SPL other 'big' teams eg Hibs, Dundee U, Motherwell (maybe on this year's perfomance),Aberdeen - mid/lower Championship SPL rest (including us!) - English Div 1 SFL 1 (top 5) - lower Eglish Div1 or Div 2 SFL 1 (bottom 5) - English Div 2 SFL 2 (top 5) - lower Eng Div 2 SFL 2 (bottom 5) - Conference SFL3 - Regional conference and below
  16. To be fair, the guy has gone up a level now in England. I doubt very much whether we could afford players from England at a much higher level. Championship players will be on thousands per week, and I would suspect that even Div 1 teams and the better Div 2 teams pay at least what we do (maybe with one or two exceptions, eg Marius). So I don't think Brew has much option than to scour the lower leagues in the hope of finding a bargain, perhaps not yet spotted by anyone else.
  17. Brilliant! The last nagging little doubt removed so now I'm looking forward to supporting Romania wholeheartedly. Hope we are going to be able to watch their matches somehow on TV here.
  18. Let's have another look after Marius scores 2 or 3 goals in Euro 2008!
  19. I suspect that it might be from our Bells Cup win.
  20. In keeping with the majority of ICT supporters, I presume, I'll be supporting Romania, especially if Marius is involved. They certainly have a tough group though.
  21. Only because, as I've said on other threads, I think Brewster should be given another season to prove himself. Therefore I don't want managerial change at ICT in the near future, when Lambert presumably will be job hunting.
