    • Hamilton -V- Inverness CT - Play off Final 1st Leg - Preview
However all is not well and we just kept our heads above water thanks to Arbroath being rubbish. Onto the play offs and an insipid performance at Links Park left us all wondering if our time has come to drop into oblivion. Our performance certainly would not look out of place in the lower leagues. We clung on for a 0-0 draw away from home and scraped a 1-0 win at Inverness with Billy Mckay saving our blushes. Everything about the club has negative undertones at the moment.

    • Inverness CT 1-0 Montrose Play-Off Second Leg (0-0)
Little Consolation: Inverness will face Hamilton Accies in the Play-Off final after nervously scraping past part-time Montrose who were eventually reduced to ten men when Blair Lyons was sent off after an off the ball incident in the 84th minute involving Morgan Boyes. Inverness had dominated throughout, but failed to capitalise on their possession, and as per the entire season failed to create much of note. The first half was livlier than the first leg, but the same problems showed up our lack of quality. We started with no wingers and Billy Mckay as usual in a withdrawn role. It's not worked all season, so why should it suddenly work now. A woeful first half ended goalless and it was on the hour and out of the blue when Billy Mckay prodded in from three yards to score the only goal of the game following a corner

    • Inverness CT -V- Montrose - Second Leg (0-0)
As much as we have criticised the Caley Jags performance on Tuesday night, let's not lose sight of the fact that Montrose are a decent League 1 side with a good blend of experience and talented prospects. For our part, let's keep them as a good League 1 side and that means no room for faffing about. Time has run out now, there's no hiding places and no room for shirkers. Ditch the sideways passing or put goal posts in front of the Main Stand and tuck shops.

    • Montrose 0-0 Inverness CT - Play Off 1st Leg
      FULL TIME: 0-0

All to play for on Saturday, but don't hold your breath...

However, if we continue like this, it will be our final game this season.

Best performer for us was Samson Lawal, the only bright spark on the field.

Alloa 2-2 Hamilton was the other semi-final score tonight. On this evidence, I doubt either side will be quaking in their boots.

    • Inverness CT 3-1 Morton - Report
It was a lovely evening for a game of football, what could possibly go wrong? Well, what did go wrong was Queen's Park beat an understrength Airdrie 2-0 at Hampden, therefore despite beating Morton 3-1, Inverness head for the play-offs. Morgan Boyes opened the scoring with a thumping volley after half an hour. Kirk Broadfoot benefited from slack defending to level before the break then proceeded to earn the wrath of the home support with an embarrassing celebration in front of the North Stand. Cammy Harper relieved Billy Mckay of penalty kick duties and duly slotted home from the spot ten minutes after the break. The scoring was completed just after the hour when Sean McAllister drilled home into the bottom corner. Robbie Muirhead had been sent off for simulation then taking a wee fit to himself and was promptly sent off after 58 minutes just after Harper had knocked in his penalty kick, probably aggrieved that he never earned a spot kick for his dramatic dive.

  1. Past hour
  2. I'd be amazed if they've been that smart tbh?
  3. There was no real desire from the team in first half ,it looked as though they couldn’t care less if we lost or won Hamilton on the other hand were going hell for leather to try and grab the game by the scruff of the neck and succeed in doing so we only started to threaten Hamilton when the subs were brought on if the same attitude exsisting Saturday we will definitely be relegated and how Ferguson thinks one goal will suffice is beyond me
  4. Surely there is a clause in his contract that if we get relegated his services are no longer required
  5. Even more stubborn than Foran and he was stubborn
  6. Today
  7. Dulce et decorum est pro clava mori. Start as we did in the second half on Wednesday and I think we have a decent chance. My fear is that Ferguson believes he's been doing well and his tactics are working, and he's willing to die on that cross.
  8. Multiple thousands per week to manage in L1. Not a chance he's walking away.
  9. Yes, but..... who else would take him? Abject failure at Forest Green, abject failure at Caley Thistle. Maybe back to a coaching role, if his pride will let him.
  10. Our tactics.... Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day You fritter and waste the hours in an off-hand way Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town Waiting for someone or something to show you the way
  11. Lost in thought and lost in time While the seeds of lifeand the seeds of change were planted Outside the rain fell dark and slow While I pondered on this dangerous but irresistible pastime I took a heavenly ride through our silence I knew the moment had arrived For killing the past and coming back to life
  12. One slip, and down the hole we fall It seems to take no time at all A momentary lapse of reason That binds a life for life A small regret, you won't forget, There'll be no sleep in here tonight
  13. Sorry to be a pedant but Ryan Gauld is playing in Canada for Vancouver. MLS is North America not just the states. He has been their lynchpin and made what was a notoriously and consistently underperforming team look pretty good. Similarly, Lewis Morgan is one of those who just goes about things under the radar. Messi and the circus in Miami might get all the headlines, but Morgan has been consistently good for New York for a few seasons now.
  14. I hope we are not 'close but no cigar'
  15. Perhaps on Saturday night we can have a cigar.
  16. Following on from @DoofersDad's post. I hadn't considered the implications to the planning appeal. The club not having ultimate control of the battery storage could have a detrimental impact on that given how hard we leaned on that fact from the outset. Hopefully we've not shot ourselves in the face again.
  17. Directors putting in place measures to protect their own unsecured lending to the detriment of other creditors especially if an insolvency event is imminent and they can be shown to be aware of that.
  18. On the plane home from hols on Monday thought “I will head to Hamilton on Wednesday”. Got a text when home from my daughter saying she had booked myself and the grandsons on the supporters bus and got the match tickets for……………….SJ v County. SJ were hardly a threat to county all evening. With 10 mins remaining county started running down the clock. Cowie had taken Dhanda and Simon Murray off. They got corners where all the big guys stayed back, they only had 1 man in the box and took the corners short to shield the ball looking for another corner. On 90 min county were safe for another year. Then SJ got a throw in level with county box. Ball to player, back to thrower, huge hoof into box and score 1-1. County now have to beat a resurgent, free scoring Aberdeen on Sunday or hope SJ don’t get anything better than a draw against motherwell. Moral of the story is we need to come out flying on Saturday. If we get 1st goal we need to keep pushing for the second, then the 3rd etc. come off the pitch after giving it everything. county were seconds from safety. Then bang. Would hate to see that happen to us. As someone once said “ footballs a funny old game, Saint”

  20. Comfortably Numb Pink Floyd wrote this song about the club we have followed since it's inception in August 1994. The first two verses (Hello & Come on Now) are about the fans speaking to the club and getting no replies, then asking through the Trust if everything is OK. Relax is the board questioning the fans about the hurt that has been caused by mis-management and not listening to our views and then replying and stating our insignificance. OK & Stand Up are the solutions to our problems. The final verse in bold is about the board ignoring the warning signs and that is why we are on the verge of disappearing into the abyss. Hello Is there anybody in there? Just nod if you can hear me Is there anyone at home? Come on now I hear you're feeling down Well, I can ease your pain Get you on your feet again Relax I'll need some information first Just the basic facts Can you show me where it hurts? There is no pain, you are receding A distant ship smoke on the horizon You are only coming through in waves Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying When I was a child I had a fever My hands felt just like two balloons Now I've got that feeling once again I can't explain, you would not understand This is not how I am I have become comfortably numb I have become comfortably numb O.K. Just a little pin prick There'll be no more ah! But you may feel a little sick Can you stand up? I do believe it's working, good That'll keep you going through the show Come on, it's time to go There is no pain you are receding A distant ship smoke on the horizon You are only coming through in waves Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse Out of the corner of my eye I turned to look but it was gone I cannot put my finger on it now The child is grown The dream is gone...... We have become comfortably numb Listen for yourself, it's all in here>>> The hurt, the pain, the reluctance and pig-headedness to listen to the fans asking what is going on, the lack of communication, the lack of ambition, the stench of mismanagement, the concert company, the battery farm, the demise since winning the Scottish Cup in 2015, the lack of passion, the lack of commitment, the dwindling fanbase, the lack of leadership. It has left the fans comfortably numb: a state of severe alienation and burnout. When the pressures of life and the evils, insanity and corruption of the outside world are too much and you build a mental wall and you shut yourself out from everything and everyone. You just want to retreat by watching TV or listening to music a LOT to take you from your inner pain but your attention span is so minimized you may wind up on the couch looking up at the ceiling and constantly changing TV channels with the remote. Certain scenes or sounds may bring up painful emotions and make you cry. (urban dictionary) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Match/Ticket/Parking Info Naelifts it's a 17:30 kick off ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A bit about the game: We lost 2-1 at New Douglas Park on Wednesday night. An incredibly inventive goal from Kevin O'Hara or a comedy of errors from an Inverness point of view saw us go one down in the sixth minute. Another dubious goal saw us two down with Ridgers claiming he was being impeded. We could have lost a third in that first half horror show had Graham Grainger spotted Wallace Duffy blocking a shot with his arm. Enter Samson Lawal and suddenly things began to look better, and even more better when Aribim Pepple scored with his first touch after 68 minutes. Game on and all to play for on Saturday as we start the game one goal down. Danny Devine won't take part after rolling his ankle on the halfway line. All are in agreement that Lawal and Pepple should play a bigger part, but will anyone listen to us. I won't hold my breath. It's our final game of this season, win or lose. It could be a defining game in the history of this club. What on earth have we become... Less of this>>> Off the post, off the head of Ridgers and into the back of the net! Hamilton take the lead! pic.twitter.com/WY6JtjdaCh And more of this>>> Here's Waiting for Dunc and pre-match>>> Danny Devine out.
  21. When ICT Battery Storage Ltd was set up in May 2022, it was set up with Ross Morrison and Allan Munro as the 2 Directors and with the club owning the single share with a nominal value of £1. In other words, the battery storage company was wholly owned by the club. This fact was actively promoted by the club when the planning meetings were going on. On 26th March the 2 Directors agreed to allot a further 99 £1 shares which appear to have allotted equally between the 2 Directors and David Cameron. As I understand it, this would mean that, in effect, the 3 club Directors now own the Battery Company. What I don't know are what the reasons are for this change or what the implications are. It is, however, worth noting that in the Battery company accounts dated May 2023, there is a statement that the directors recognise the club as the "ultimate parent company". Also, in the original Certificate of Incorporation, the club is identified as the "relevant legal entity". It also states under a heading of "Nature of Control", that the relevant legal entity holds, either directly or indirectly, 75% or more of the shares in the company. How this ties in with 99% of the shares now being owned by 3 of the club's directors, I don't know. It would be good to get some clarification. I am sure this is not as much clarification as you would like, Lizi, so hopefully someone else will be able to shed a bit more light on it. Anyhow, regardless of what happens off the park, I, like you, will continue to support the team on the park regardless of which league they are playing in. Thanks to STFU for drawing attention to this change. Interesting!
  22. As Martin Luther-King once said to me on a Freedom March down West Drive - "Johndo, in the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends." ICT till I die, wherever, whoever and whatfeckinever
  23. I’m with those who feel we should be focussing our efforts on supporting the players so they get the right result for us tomorrow and we stay in the Championship. However, I’m curious as to what you feel the grounds are for legal action in the event of the scenario you have outlined.
  24. Let’s win this tie first, and worry about what shape the club is in afterwards. It may be part time football anyway, which I think would be disastrous, but let Hamilton worry about that. Because of their location, it suits them far more than it does us. We may have no choice anyway, whether it’s home-grown lads or poaching local talent from the HL or the likes of Elgin. The stark fact is, if we’re part time, we won’t get players to relocate here. Not to train two nights a week. The only way round that is to have a wealthy benefactor such as Uncle Roy or the Brora model where they are given ‘jobs’. Stranraer are the nearest club to compare in this situation although it’s a pretty extreme case. Their players, or most of them, train in Glasgow, so the local connection, team bonding, etc, is lost. They have very poor crowds, c300, and tomorrow they could be relegated to the LL. They won’t recover from that and will have massive recruitment problems, ultimately ending up in the very poor SOSL or going amateur or folding. Would we attempt a similar setup with players training in Perth? Better to use Highlands-based players but IMHO the standard is not there compared to the days when we could get the likes of Iain Stewart or Brian Thomson.
