  1. Today
  2. had our service provider check this out. turns out we were under attack from a couple of IP addresses in the far east. These are known bad IP addresses so the host is now blocking them at the server level. At the time of checking, each one had made more than 80,000 requests to the server causing our server load to spike above 40 . Typically our server load is under 1.00 or at busy times between 1 and 2 which is fine as we have a multi-core server. I will check things in (my) morning and if the load is back to normal will re-enable the currently disabled features.
  3. Yesterday
  4. Has to be the correct heads (plural) though and not just scapegoats ... One man is most culpable and central to all the fiascos of the past few years. We went viral with the pixalot fiasco, and not for the right reasons, the concert 'failure' ruined a lot of trust and goodwill in the area (and yes it was not 'technically' the club but try telling that to small businesses who are out thousands they can barely afford, and the cherry on top seems to be the battery farm ... Whether or not these are his fault or not is irrelevant IMHO, he was the one person who demanded he had to sign off on everything at the club, including speaking to the media or fans, and was also the one person who suggestions and ideas had to go through, with many promising ideas being cast aside because they weren't his regardless of their merit.
  5. The site is running very slow as Scotty has highlighted due to many folk wanting to know what is going to happen to our club. We are likely to have all the press looking for a bit of news as there is nothing from the official site so it's their only hope! Or it could be due to the number of posts that dougal is making as he usually does when there is a bit of a crises at the club
  6. Did you say “Green Street” or “Grant Street”?
  7. I was actually criticised for what I DIDN’T say, but which an inaccurate headline implied I said, but anyway… I don’t think that you and Buckett and I are very far apart on that one. It’s essentially the difference between “unlikely” and “inconceivable” - and I think the latter is actually the word I also used in the column in question - ironically because I wanted to go out of my way to emphasise that I was most definitely not calling for a County - ICT merger. I think the only circumstances where one might be remotely possible is if County were also to descend to the state Caley Thistle is currently in and the only way that would happen would be if Roy MacGregor, or some successor benefactor, were to withdraw support. But even then, serious fan opposition would have to be overcome and the idea that there was some major benefit as a result would need to be sold pretty convincingly.
  8. Let’s be honest here Relegation means head will roll
  9. Expect an announcement in the morning!
  10. 30 years ago you were a sneaky little weasel and it appears 3 decades on not much has changed. There must be another Beano or Dandy book on the horizon to spew out. Just leave the football to the real football supporters off you trot to the Queens Park Running track for one last lap before the bulldozers move in. Dougal
  11. Over 48 hours on from Saturday's debacle and not so much as a peep from our illustrious board either on our own social media or via traditional media outlets. I don't think any club in British football would get away with such utter disregard for its fanbase. These guys are supposedly respected businessmen and yet they seem totally incapable of very simple communications or situation management. Utterly shambolic at every turn.
  12. Well done again Old Gringers on another great Championship win and thank you for all your hard work on the spreadsheets throughout the season. Good shout from Joonya remembering the great days last time we were in the 3rd tier. We were on our great magical climb through the leagues back then. Somehow I don’t think it’ll be so much fun this time around, but the NPL will be - as good now as it’s ever been - cheers
  13. Jack you sound like a Ned if I’m being honest. Whether the fans were one timers as you put it or actual fans it does not make the slightest bit of difference NO fans should have been on the pitch. The limited photos downloaded on line are quite frankly embarrassing not only to ICT but to Inverness as a city. Dougal
  14. Or the email address so it can be reset. We are doomed
  15. I've been a supporter for about 60 years. When do I get real?
  16. You've done the appropriate survey then?
  17. Apparently nobody knows the password.
  18. Absolutely no one would support such a daft idea for a team. The recurring problem is people proposing ideas with no knowledge of how real supporters feel about their clubs.
  19. Actually, I agree with CB's analysis - in fact, I remember that I wrote something similar quite recently. Where I diverge from him is that I think that a merger is not inconceivable. I think it will inevitably happen, quite possibly in the next few years. CB may be reluctant to say that, because he was crucified when he said so in print a while ago (I can't remember how long ago). That is assuming that neither club goes bust before a merger can be arranged. It's no more inconceivable than Caley and Thistle merging!
  20. It'll be another pornhub incident ...
  21. Anyone taking bets on them having got rid of the web/social media person and all now sitting around scratching their heads wondering how they put a statement out?
  22. No one really cares what you think mate, neither then nor now.
  23. We are nothing if not unimaginative ... ! Take the D from Dingwall .. The I from Inverness then add S for Soccer & we could have Dis United
  24. It's a blindingly obvious solution and I don't think it's inconceivable, just very unlikely. It would only work if the combined team scrapped the individual identities of the constituent teams - perhaps adopting a name like Highland FC as IHE suggests, rather than Inverness & Ross Caley Thistle County, or whatever Currently we would have more to gain from such an arrangement, but I doubt if many ICT fans would be up for it. Don't think I'd be that keen either tbh, but as you say, it's certainly a LOGICAL solution.
  25. There was an interview with the manager after the match on Saturday. Why is this not up and available online yet?. Seems like the press and journalists have more of an insight to what the manager is thinking than the fans. This is absolutely unacceptable !
