December 23, 200817 yr I nipped past the stadium last night and saw the last 15 mins of a friendly vs Clach, lo and behold Brew playing midfield, Rooney and Barrowman up front, only saw one goal - Barrowman, but he also missed a couple of chances.

They'd have been better playing John Robertson up front - as a trialist..
December 23, 200817 yr I passsed the stadium last night whilst out for a cycle, thought about shouting something glib over the wall but decided against it Noticed we were playing with two goalies though?
December 23, 200817 yr Was this game behind closed doors and you lot were looking throught the gates, or could you go in?
December 23, 200817 yr Noticed we were playing with two goalies though? It's our new tactic to reduce the number of goals we concede.
December 23, 200817 yr Renegade, Just walked in through the main entrance. Barrowman was woeful last night, from start to finish couldn't hit the target, and the goal he got came about with a bit of fortune. Rooney (I think) had a good finish for the first. Lionel played no half bad up the entire left side.. mind you, with it only being clach, is that such an achievement? Shoulda' been more than 2-0 anyway.
December 23, 200817 yr Author If it was an exercise to get the strikers scoring again, it didnt half fail! Saw the Clach no 10 overtake Barrowman to a through ball... feckin hell!
December 23, 200817 yr Something else I was quite surprised at.. Lionel's pace :o - Why have I never seen it in a proper game?
December 23, 200817 yr Always felt he would be better suited to wing-back or left-wing rather than a bomb scare left back
December 23, 200817 yr Something else I was quite surprised at.. Lionel's pace :o - Why have I never seen it in a proper game? That's the reason why would play him up-front or just behind the front two.
December 24, 200817 yr And when you say two keepers, is that two chopping and changes or two in at the same time?
December 24, 200817 yr no, two at the same time and 13 outfield players too, should work a treat on Sat.
December 24, 200817 yr So as not to put too much strain on the pitch both teams were playing towards the one goal. The two keepers were one from each team. Did cause a few problems though as they tended to get a bit confused about who should be saving which ball. Hence thew reason Barrowman scored. The Clach keeper thought it was Ikes turn to save.
