25th League Game in Charge

If my calculations are correct today was Charlie Christie's 25th league game in charge of the team, including his spell as caretaker when Brew left, and in that time we have won 11 drawn 8 and lost 6. We've also amassed 37 goals in these games.  Personally I think that is a very good record of Charlies ability to manage this team given the resources he has available.

not bad... not bad at all!!

I'm sure that record is better than most of the SPL managers

keep it up CC but lets try and get some wins under the belt

If he can just get them to reproduce their away form at home, we would sail into the top six.... As a relative newcomer to Sneck and a fairly recent convert to ICT, to me there is something weird & unnatural with the atmosphere at Tulloch Stadium that doesn't help matters.

Alex : What kind of atmosphere did you encounter at Rugby Park?

Well done CC and I think he will continue to improve as he learns new things along the way.

By the way, compare that with Brewsters performance since he left. I think its only 2 wins in the league??

Poor... but we tried to make some sort of atmosphere although there wasn't alot of us

About a dozen or so, including Mr Chibber tried to make some noise. Surprisingly the home fans were very silent.

The problems yesterday were:

300 of us in a stand area fer 1000 and everybody sitting two rows from feckin each other.

Where were the feckin hard core HMS Sneck crew?

All I can say is - Thank feck I am back to sort it out.  :004:

Get yer feckin singing voices ready fer Castle Greyskull and Middenland.  :003:

We need a good support for Midden... I'm not having the ******* out singing us!!!

Harry a little slap on the wrist - you can't refer to people in general terms like that.  I have noticed the time of your post so that might have a bearing on it.  :001:  We do need to be careful with these comments though.

Charlie's record so far is reasonable, he needs another 25 league games under his belt before he can be properly judged.

A surprising but impressive record, out of interest does anyone know how Charlie's home SPL record compares to his away?

Home Form

Won     Lost     Drawn    Points

  3          4            5          14

Away Form

Won     Lost     Drawn    Points

  8          3            3          27

Based on Alex Stats

Brewsters Last 25 games 05/06 & 04/05

Home

Won    Draw    Lost    Points

   2         4          7         10

Away

Won    Draw    Lost    Points

   4         7          1         19

very interesting!!

I've had to work that out during a half an hour lunch so if someone wants to verify it.... Sandy, Midge55, Bozo??

Some difference in points!!!

42 - 29 = 13!!!

That is quite startling and makes you wonder why Charlie is getting such a hard time from the fans and media.

Personally the bone of contention has been our home form, regardless of manager over the last couple of years.

Looking at the stats its more likely that a home fan will see the team lose than win

Are the Home win against Livingston & the away win against Falkirk included in CC stats for season 2005/6??

He was caretaker manager for both those games

yes both included

We won 3 Home games though  :017:

Livingston

Dundee United

Falkirk

Says on those stats only 2 home wins!!

Official Stats supplied by Ian Broadfoot have the following caveat for Charlie's managerial career.

"Excludes two periods as joint interim manager with John Docherty - 13 to 23 November 2004 & 14 to 21 January 2006 - 5 matches"

those would be

Sat 13th November 2004 - 3-0 defeat at Celtic

Tue 23rd November 2004 - 1-1 draw at TCS V Dundee United

Sat 14th January 2006 - 3-0 win at TCS V Livingston

Mon 16th January 2006 - 2-0 win at Ayr in the cup

Sat 21st January 2006 - 4-1 win at Falkirk

That explains it  :003:

My figures are taken from the match reports on this site and start with Livi game on 14/1/06 for which CC was caretaker. As said in first post I only looked at league games and not cup.
