Shame that the extra 'home' supporters we attract for OF games don't come on a more regular basis.

On a side note I couldn't believe it when people started leaving the North stand 5 or so minutes before the end of the game. Where did they need to go to so desperately??? How many of them will have missed the winning goal  :016:

The consolation is that they would have been able to hear about our spectacular winning goal on their car radio. :004:

Hopefully the performance tonight will encourage a few more to come along to home games.  It's certainly the best home performance in a long time.  (the last 20mins against Falkirk were up there)

couldnt make it down for the game so i watched in a pub in aberdeen and i had been hoping to get my dad a ticket for this one but when i phoned up the ticket line they said it was all sold out. dont now about you guys but from the setanta tv coverage there were good few seats in the uncovered part of the main stand that were completly vacant

still wondering how we got a crowd of 10 over the official capacity of 7512.

In fact, wasn't the official capacity reduced further after the last Rangers game (7512 crowd). I believe it was dropped to 7500 as about a dozen seats were removed for TV gantries ???

I think the problem may have arisen at the away end as some of the rangers fans had two heads !!! :017:

those who left early would have heard the goal on the radio in their car stuck in the car park,it looked a fantastic goal, i wish they would score more at the bridge end so i can see them more clearly, some huns beside me , no colours on tho,  but no reaction to either team scoring, felt win was well deserved, mite have been a record crowd but took a long time for home support to make themselves heard, the emty mite have been the huns that were flung out during the game, there were some in main stand huns that is, hope this win stops the rot :023:

If someone has decided to count disabled persons and their helpers then you can have crowd figures of over seating capacity.

there were a few ugly huns sitting just behind me in the uncovered section of the main stand, I pointed them out to a bobby and a steward who were happy to let them remain. I'm glad they did, it was worth enduring the smell to see the grins wiped off their smug faces at the end :015:

The seats in front of us were sold twice!! Both genuine tickets - one lot paid for and one lot complimentary.  We checked over and over again looking for differences, but they were definitely the same seats. Didn't think our new ticketing system would allow this, must have been a gremlin.  The fact that the crowd was higher than the maximum could be down to a few blips like this.

Good point about the disabled Alex, but I would think this would be included in the maximum, not sure though

I got to my seat last night and there was someone sitting there. I politely said -

"excuse me mate your sitting in my seat".

his reply was -

"no I'm not, this is my seat" - not 'oh am I ?' or a 'sorry'

"well it's got my name on it" I said.

"well that's not my problem, I've got a ticket for this seat" he replied.

I asked could I see his ticket, he had the right seat number and the right row but the wrong section (A instead of B).

I asked him knowingly "your first time at the stadium is it?"

Bloody Rangers fans - pity I didn't see him after our late goal.

Re- Fans with two heads - surely two faces - Ah maybe not.

Nice to see teams of Scotsmen beat teams of foreigners - Rangers and Lithuania.

Rangers fans beside me too but they seemed decent guys and gave us credit for our teams performance.

The commentary in Lower section B was very entertaining worth the admission alone.

It would be brilliant if some of our fair weather fans would turn up more often.

Hope some of those who were there last night will come to another match

I have to hold my hand up as a first time poster and say first and foremost I've been missing as a regular since the Club attained SPL status (does that make me the opposite of a glory hunter.......). I was there at the very first match vs East Stirling in '94 and was always at home matches until the move to Pittodrie as my youngest was still in nappies. I remember the very first season the then club treasurer hand delivered my season ticket book the night before the first home league match..  how things change !!

Bad habits stick though and although I went along to the Dunfermline home coming I just haven't got into the habit of getting off my backside come matchday. However my youngest is now five and football daft so have just purchased half season tickets. I wasn't there to see the mighty Rangers humbled but my eldest son and two mates travelled up from Badenoch and stayed over as there were no trains back, fair play to them as it would have been easier to sit at home on a Wednesday evening with the match televised. Both mates are Aberdeen fan's but enjoy football and travel up fairly regularly so a significant percentage of the extra fans are explained by neutrals and undercover Blue noses unfortunately.. I'm not in the attendance statistic but as I mentioned will now be a regular at home games... I intend to make a few more away games now as well with my son.. I'm ashamed to say my last away match was in our promotion season vs the mighty Alloa...  :023: I thought joining the site was a good starting point now I'm "back" in the community so to speak....
