  • Hibs demonstrated last night the merits of treating The Rangers as the mediocre Championship side they are and having a go at them rather than standing off like they were Barcelona or even Celtic.

goal to rangers

Yogi will have some questions to answer as to why he has approached this game with such negative tactics.  Really disappointing

Ref a complete homer....

Free kick not given, possible 2nd yellow for Black . . .

. . . seems Rangers are back to the way things were?

Should have been a red earlier on as well

The The Rangers fans seem quite happy to be beating a big team.

Does Nick Ross still play for us?...doesnt seem anywhere near Yogis plans

Why weren't we set up to test a shaky defence??? Shocking tactics from Yogi

Well that is us out ft 1-0 still not sure if offside or not

Really have to question the tactics as to why we havent had a go at a very poor Rangers defence..disappointing

Looked offside.  Thats the first I have seen of us this season.  I assume we have played much better so far this season and this is a blip.  Very poor in final 3rd. Not much creative stuff going on. Defence looked solid enough. Unlucky with the big deflection for the goal. Brill had shot covered.  Still, thats what happens when yer in the big league, the wee teams raise their game against us.

As for the ref, are they drug tested?

We are getting a reputation for being boring and defensive. Yogi set it up for a draw and we got what we deserved.  Did their keeper have to make a single save?

I think our best chance of beating them was tonight, why play for a draw?

Normally I would wish the team that puts us out to go on and make a go of it, but in this case . . . COME ON FALKIRK!

Well that was disappointing. I cant help but be reminded of the cup final, a big game where we turn in a lifeless, insipid performance. It was more than a little frustrating to realise early on that the plan was solely containment. We showed an average team far too much respect tonight, im not sure whether it was down to the players or tactics but it was almost as if we were playing for penalties from the off - not something I want to become a habit.

Macleod shouldn't even have been on the pitch after his two-footed studs up challenge...

Shocking tactics, gave them far too much respect. Their crap defence could have been tested so much more. They look rather excited about beating an older and bigger Scottish team.

We were playing 12 men when we should have been playing 10

:furtive:

Two days to go in the Yes No and the Union Jacks were out in full force at Ibrox. Many Bluenoses had disguised themselves as plastic seats as the game kicked off. As suggested, Ross Draper and Graeme Shinnie were suspended and Liam Polworth and Carl Tremarco filled the gaps with Ryan Christie resting on the bench, his place taken by Danny Williams..................

Well that was disappointing. We barely ventured forward first half, yawn. Seemed to play a 4-5-1 with Mckay isolated.

Second half was better but we didn't try and score until we went 1-0 down. Warren looked in line when he scored, but we never got a decision all night so wasn't surprised to see a flag.

Looked like we came for a draw, did no one tell JH this was a cup match.
