Do not want!

Oh Terry, you had a nice job with plenty to play for, but you thought you were bigger than that. Oh how the mighty are fallen. What will your excuse be this time? Sic transit, Gloria.

Longman--did you take Latin at school as well?

I was in Mrs.MacDonald's class at the Academy and that family was really friendly with my mother and father so I had to pay attention. She had an imposing personality and you knew when you went into her class that you were there to learn. At least I learned "Gaudeamus Igitur, juvenes dum sumus"  (pardon the spelling 'cos that was a long time ago)......

Her lovely husband, Mr. Donnie Macdonald, was also a gem of a person. Is there anyone on here remembers these two fine people. They lived out the Dores Road as I recall.

Scarlet - yes, I took Latin, as did most of my contemporaries, under the beady eye of Jess Thomson, who must have taught generations of Invernesians. Such was the curriculum of our vitae. Quod erat demonstrandum.

"Quod erat demonstrandum"?    "Nix comprendere mon ami."or as me old Dad was wont to occasionally say ..."Nux vomica up the lum,"

Mz. Thomson?-must have been after my time but I'm unable to trace your age on a Profile which is short on detail......?

Ecce Romani!

Yogi est puer magna.

Terry est puer parva.

Ardrossan Academy also taught latin in the 1970's.
