Ryan Williams

Inverness Courier reporting we've signed former Brentford, Chester City, Colwyn Bay, Rhyl, Morecombe and Llandudno midfielder Ryan Williams until the end of the season.

He's seemingly regarded as a free kick specialist and has been capped internationally for England.......in futsal!

Only played once for Brentford in a 4-0 loss. But I guess we shouldn't judge a book by its cover.. Hopefully will become decent though

Looks like tidy midfield playmaker/dead ball specialist in Tansey mould ...

Top quality player, with over 15 pro midfielders at Brentford ( a Championship club that finished in prem play offs that can pay good money).  Wouldn't use only 1 game as a margin of this players ability, he will impress a lot of people in Scotland.

Good luck to him and Inverness

Thanks, Ryan.  Welcome to the club!

So, we now have: Tansey (if he ever plays for us again), Polworth, Draper, Wedderburn, Vincent, Vigurs, Williams (1), Williams (2), Mutombo, Roberts (at least) to choose from in midfield, but only 4 fit defenders and one fit striker. Welcome, Ryan, but forgive me for not understanding our signing policy!

He does seem to like a midfielder or ten does Yogi....

...don't forget the Foran was a holding midfielder before his injury too (although granted he can play up front).

Always hard to tell from these videos but looks a decent player, looks like he can spot an early pass and open things up which to be honest we've been lacking a bit this year.

Was he spraying passes with both feet as well? If so I'm impressed!

Yeah yeah yeah but where are we going to play him and who will he replace?

Mandatory 'but can he do it on a cold, wet night in Arbroath?'

So what we have is foran, draper Tansey, Hughes, ryan Williams as cm choices! D.williams, Vincent, Roberts, mutumbo, and polworth as attacking players who can play wide!

Also wedderburn and vigurs if need be! Hughes and D.Williams can be utilised as defender and the other williams can be used as a wide player or attacking mid!

IMO we have probably enough midfielders but could now do with these two proving themselves and succeeding. Should this happen I'd let wedderburn and maybe vigurs go in the summer! Defence we could do with a CB who'd be comfortable in LB! And up front we have storey, fisher and Sutherland (who needs some game time)! If Foran felt fit he could also press further up the field using his experience to assist storey plus he can win a header! However I wouldn't say no to another (proven) striker coming in.
