I’ll be the first to say it, we weren’t actually that bad. We lost Toshney after 3 minutes. Against a decent, well-organised side like Alloa you don’t want to concede the first goal or there’s likely

Dundee Utd drop 14 points in last 7 games, if we had won against the bottom 3 when we met them would have been nearer the lead.. all teams around us dropped points today and that's disappointing that

Absolutely spot on, letting both your first choice centre halves leave half way through the season is totally bizarre.  Wonder what JR pearls of wisdom will be this time. Usually  comes out with

It's not just this week though, there has been a lot of fixture congestion of late with mid-week games. These things can add up when you don't have the depth to rotate your squad. It's more of a psychological thing rather than physiological.

Anyways it's not really an excuse, if we want to get promoted through the playoffs we should be beating the likes of Alloa. Hope Toshney is back soon, we will really struggle to win play offs with a McHattie and McKay partnership at the back.

I know, but under most previous managers (including Robbo previously) the club played closed door games against HL/lower league teams most weeks if we didn't have a midweek fixture.  The practice only really came to an end when the reserve leagues etc started.

The only thought that comes to mind is that it's not the club's responsibility for the individual players to keep fit. It's theirs and a good, honest player knows this and works with his trainer  on moves and actions to achieve this.

Basically it's called ambition and self respect. Sooo…. midweek games should not be a huge impediment to achieving a high level of fitness. Surely not at this crucial and advanced juncture of the season.

True professionals and semi pros are not the same thing. The honest and really ambition and responsible athlete  works this out.

on the sherbet again

We were outplayed by a part time team. They were more organised, moved the ball so much better and quicker than us and merited the win.  Why we persist in playing the ball through the air  (both short and long) beats me : it just doesn't work (especially in windy conditions as there were yesterday)

We had a couple of decent chances but they could have scored 4 or 5.

'Poor' would flatter us.

The big diagonal switch ball was the way Robbo played back in the day and he introduced it in his first season at ICT, the promotion year but things have moved on since then.
