What a dignified tweet from David Raven - honest and open. We could do with a bit more of that here. Lovely man.

  • I would go for some young and hungry manager with a history of being able to scrap for results in a lower league. I don't know who that is as I have not followed League One/Two or the HL for years.

400 a week works out at £10 an hour (based on a 40 hour week). So that's below minimum wage.

After tax it's £356 a week.

Are they all living rent and bill free? Or would this just be loanees?

They only train a few hours a day, no where near 40 hours a week. They start late and finish early in the day.

Negotiation of expenses and benefits is all part or relocation in business.

Whether they should or do get those requests is what should be questioned.

That's what I don't get. What petrol and living costs is he covering that the club normally would?

Does the club pay for all players fuel as soon as they step out the door? Seems ridiculous to me. Especially for a L1 club.

In my job for example I get milage from my 'Base' outward but not from my house (now mainly WFH). When I worked in Aviemore I could claim miles from my office there to say Kingussie or Grantown but I couldn't claim from my house in Inverness to Aviemore.

Maybe footballer contacts include all travel from their front door but that would seem a ridiculous expense for us to cover as a club. Their travel from the stadium to training and away fixtures is obviously covered.

I wonder if what DF is really referring to is expenses for his son? 🤷‍♂️

Regardless of the off-field shenanigans, Ferguson as a manager was completely unable to get a group of very competent footballers to operate as an effective team, and for our lamentable performances on the park and ultimate relegation, he was culpable.

We are in my opinion, well rid of him and if we can give Dumbarton a right good humping at the Rock this weekend, that'll prove my point.

The team will need a few weeks to adjust to getting out of their own half, trying to score with a target of actually trying to win a game.

Any future management will be within most likely and from our new wage structure. Probably Bollan or Kellacher are most likely unless someone like Billy has coaching badges and steps into player manager.
