We quite often see the team called Caley or Thistle and the full name is a bit of a mouthful. Taking the first 2 letters from Caley and the last 4 from Thistle gives Inverness Ca'stle.

For a long time I have thought we should align ourselves with Crystal Palace - similar shirts and similar logo with the eagle, wings outspread over the ball/globe.  So why not 'The Eagles'?

Better than the staggies!  Different to all the other Scots teams!  And easy to chant/sing about.

I like this thought of the eagles.  Although not so much the staggies that would imply we came from over the bridge in dingwall remember that is their nickname.

Someone should start the "Eagle Ultras".

Inverness Castle??!! That really is incredibly bad!

What image does Inverness Castle convey? Reliance prison vans by day, acne ridden wee neds in burberry baseball caps peering over the dashboards of beaten up Vauxhall Novas by night and the ever present incontinent seagull crapping its bowels out over a decidedly green and white looking Flora MacDonald's head.
