This forum is getting out of control this afternoon and no MOD is doing anything about it. People swearing and threatening to batter people.

But yet, when I or anyone else take the mick out of someone, we get banned and get threatened with bans for life.

Obviously, some might not be online, but there must be some that are online and can control this mayhem. The worst ive seen the site since I joined.

I'm sure when they are available and online they will delete the posts that need deleting. I do agree that it's gone a tad far though and that it is now just lowered to petty arguements.

It's difficult to read every post but if you report the posts we get e-mail alerts and can deal with things quite quickly. Just checked and no reported posts!

Thats cause no-one knows they need to. You's are usually far too quick to over step the mark regarding posts etc.

O aye, really wanting to be a MOD.

I'm just trying to make a point that, CaleyD, Scotty etc, have been quick enough to delete my posts and others in the past, but yet, all this going on in the BENI thread and Mike Smith Thread its a bit too far and can't understand how nothing is happening with it. I'm not saying you should, just that it's a bit unfair on people like myself that have been targeted in the past for meaningless things.

RiG there may not have been complaints through the Report buttons but I certainly brought up concerns within the Mike Smith thread.

I was even replied to by a MOD and no further action taken. This account was banned for 2-3 days for posting non offensive comments on a thread, shut down for fear of homophobia, yet the mods allow someone to promote their sectarian actions and claim that they will do it again. Where is the consistency?

I would have to agree - There has been some pure venom cascading on to the threads today and I would say that it is tantamount to cyberspace homicide. I too have been unjustly banned and vilified for petty offences but some peeple today have been guilty of haneous crimes. Thankfully the sense of Brand New Poster has prevailed and reefinweed has been an excellent peace maker.

Perhaps Scotty and Don are showing you what can happen when they aint around - it wasnt feckin serious - unfortunately it wasnt funny either - just boring and embarrasing.

The MODS cant be around to read every single post every single minute of the day, if theres something needing reported then click then the options there and 9 out of 10 times one will come running in to have a look.

That said I can see a few posters that need to be reminded about what they can and cant post on here, although people getting involved in volatile subjects like sectarian abuse should expect emotions to run high when being responded too. The actual deletion of posts is a bit pointless in the long run once everybodies read them, letting folk know that they cant use the site to threaten each other is a bit more serious and really if somebodies been threatened on the boards or via PM then they should report it to the MODS, action will virtually always be taken against whoevers being abusive.

Guys are we all too easily offended nowadays, does make me wonder, at 43 if I was to think of the things that I have been called over the years I could have had people put away for life, of course im British white dont have a religion and I am straight and not disabled so perhaps no cause for concern there, but I have an uncle who is gay an auntie who is disabled and quite a few friends and colleague who are not Brits so I have no axe to grind there either, we have become obsessed with political correct crap in these Isles and its to our detriment.

Now there is a point that should not be crossed but come on get on with your life enjoy it well you can and use this site for what it should be used for, anyone who uses this site and wishes to be a numpty just ignore them they will soon go away..

Whilst some might think what happened on Saturday was disgusting (and I would agree) we have no power to take any action against those involved, and unless they start promoting such things on here then they aren't in breach of any forum rules.

I was not at the game and did not witness first hand the events, however, there's one or two who have openly admitted their participation and once the mods have had a chance to discuss the matter we may decide that we do not want these people using this site...until that decision is made they are free to post, so long as they stick within the forum rules.

With regards to the "Personal" insults and threats which have been exchanged...we have had nobody report these to us, but we will be reviewing the posts and where we feel any serious threat has been made we will take action.

To be honest, my opinion at this moment is that the "threat" was provoked with the "internet hardman" allegation, and the whole topic surrounding this one line is nothing more than whataboutery which is being used to deflect attention away from the fact that we had some very silly wee (and not so wee) laddies in the North Stand on Saturday.

I would also remind everyone that our Terms of Use and suggest that those admitting to what is, in all reality, a crime by partaking in some of these songs and chants pay particular attention to the following paragraph...

Please dont get me wrong, but I have to wonder if things have gone massively to far the other way now where PC is involved, listen to what the average football fan calls the referee, or a member of the opposition no-one would bat an eye lid on here or anywhere else about that, of course thats if religion or ethnicity is taken out of the equation.
