  1. 2010 was a vintage year for Inverness Caledonian Thistle and in respect of attending away games will undoubtedly never be equalled. I have to say that 2010 will live in my memory as the year that my spirits were raised again and again - days out like Dumbfries, the Ship Inn and the SPL travels were the finest anti-depressant known to mankind. So many thanks to TerryandMo, the players and staff of ICT and to all my muckers who have travelled along the long and winding road with me. I will continue to travel on the TerryandMo express and await the Caley D T-shirt to remind me of 2010. And special New Year felicitations to Mr Bennett, Mr Sutherland and Mr Fraser - I am pleased to note that you have began to learn and are losing the Muppet tags. Can I be feckin kinder than that !! HAPPY NEW YEAR

  2. The things that I need to work on is to remind myself that I have been too critical of my team due to the fact that they have played so well. Only 4 defeats in 17 games and the expectation kind of rises that defeat isn't really an option any more. In the St Mirren/Killy games I have forgotten to look at what is good and hone in what goes wrong and kind of forgetting why I support my local team. I have kind of leapfrogged the thought of a top six for the first time and instead zooming in on playing some European team in a cup next season. ICT have some great fans that support the team to the bitter end without the pressure of expectation and I must remind myself to try and reach the level of those fans.

  3. Dear Terry Here is this week's training ground schedule: Throw ins - all players must be aware at all times and ready and willing to accept the ball from a throw in. I understand that this is contrary to current thinking where players hide at every opportunity and attach themselves to a marker in order not to receive the ball. Corner kicks - let's work on varying these. Why not try a short one for a change, swing ball away from the goalie or reach the back post on occasions. High balls to Adam - forget it. Adam won one, yes one ball, in the air last night yet we persisted in lobbing high balls in his general direction. Build from the back - as per previous comment, work on passing our way out of defence. Take a leaf out of Killie's book where they consistently passed their way up the park even though they have a big target man up front. Instruct our central defenders to think before hoofing high balls up the field to the opposition, we have one culprit in particular who hoofs 80% of his clearances up the park just to see the ball come straight back down towards him. Finally, don't panic. We are still a very good side who were due a bad patch. Stick together and the ship will steady soon.

  4. Apparently not Anyway, we need sofas for all our armchair managers.

  6. Am I the only one who, when they see the title of the thread, thinks that this is going to be a topic about sofas?

  7. 2010 has been a fantastic year for the mighty ICT, here's hoping 2011 is equally as good and we finish top 6. All the best to everyone at the club & all the fans for the new year.

  8. What "goal-scoring" ability? He hasn't scored or looked like scoring for ages. And anyway, it could be argued that if Sanchez (or someone of that ilk) played instead, ICT as a team would score more goals and play better as a team, even with the lack of the inclusion of Odhiambo. Sometimes the best players are the ones who create the goals, not just the ones that score them.

  9. I think if we're honest, looking at our last 5 games before they came about, we'd have thought 4 points not a bad haul. That is, lose to Celtic, Rangers and Hearts, beat St Mirren and draw with Killie. So we're only a point worse than that. It is just so disappointing that we saved our worst performances for last 2 home games. I agree with IHE that the tactics need to change. 4-5-1 against St Mirren was negative in the extreme. I also agree with Bronson's opening post where he questioned Rooney's scoring record. I tend to think his scoring to chances ratio is not great (forgetting the penalties of course). I'd also like to see Gillet back in the defence. Having said all that, wouldn't we have accepted this position at the start of the season? I think so, and if can hold things together reasonably well in the second half, top 6 is still a distinct possibility.

  10. It's only 2games that we've lost. Terry is not under any pressure yet. look where we are sitting, no to bad for a first division side!

  11. It always bugged me the amount of stick that could be dished out to that young lad, FROM HIS OWN SUPPORTERS. Even when he wasn't playing some of the boo boys were more than happy to dish out dog's abuse on here. The same thing happened up to a point with young Nick Ross whenever he appeared last season. Even when he scored the only goal of a game against Morton, he was criticised for lacking a Tokelyesque physique. Thankfully he now appears to have shut up most of his critics in the best way possible. There's just no pleasing some people.
