I'm not one to moan.... but..... I thought Shane Sutherland was wasted on the right wing.. more or less was a waste of space, he aint a right winger, not now, not ever. Why was Eric not introduced? he could have really made saints pay with some nice passes/pace from the right, every time i've seen shane play on the right he's been poor - but it's not his fault, just poor decisions from management. (waits red dot)
  2. Don't get carried away, We've got a very difficult run in and whilst 4th is still possible, 6th is still a very challenging target. The win today was really important and will have boosted confidence no end. The next four games are absolutely crucial - we probably need to see the game at Hibs as a must win because after that all our games are against sides we might expect to end in the top 6. Two games against Dundee Utd and one against Motherwell will be games we can't afford to lose and we realistically need to win 2 of those. With teams behind us having games in hand we probably need 10 points from the next 4 games. If we don't, we will need to beat Hearts and/or Celtic later on and hope other results go our way. Kilmarnock are certainly stuttering and might drop out of the top 6, but on the other hand I wouldn't rule Aberdeen out.
  3. "commerciality of the current structure in Scotland" Says it all for me, fans and their opinions don't count, just listen to the likes of Stewart Milne at Aberdeen sucking up to the old firm and bleating absolute nonsense about how good it would be for scottish football.
  4. ------------------------ Esson------------------------------ Duff-----------Tokely----------Hogg----- -----------Proctor Odhiambo------Cox--------Duncan--------- -----Doran -------------------------Foran----------------------------- -------------------------Rooney----------------------------- Subs- Tuffey, Innes, Blumenshtein, Sutherland, MacDonald, Polworth TB saying in this morning's P&J he can't afford the luxury of playing Foran alonsgide Rooney. I think that's a mistake. Given our defensive frailties we should be set up for all out attack.
  5. Is it possible to sell tickets for this game now? Before the scum play each other in the replay? Inverness CT v Rangers/Celtic on 12th/13th March (delete as appropiate) I reckon this would keep the number of old filth fans in the home end to a minimum
  6. I wrote to Doncaster at the end of January telling him that as a fan I was not in favour of a 10 team SPL and how it would affect my view of football etc etc. He wrote back a week or so later with a very bland thank you saying: ' As you will appreciate, we have received many proposals from fans suggesting alternatives to the existing structure, fixture scheduling, improvements to the game in general and it is impossible to reply to each in detail'. He went on to say 'The SPL is fully committed to looking at ways of progressing the game in scotland. In early 2010 we embarked on a Strategic Review which has looked at, inter alia, the effectiveness and commerciality of the current structure in Scotland. This has been a lengthy and detailed process and any proposals for change will be considered by the SPL Clubs. Thank you for taking the time to write to me with your thoughts and for your interest in the Scottish Premier League' I also wrote to Topping the Chief Executive but got no response from him. So it's very clear. He says they have had lots of representation but are not willing to listen, instead it will be discussed with the SPL Clubs. My advice then is to bombard Doncaster with letters and also to write to our own Chairman showing him our support. He has a very difficult job but if he knows he has the fans backing and can go into any meeting with a box full of letters from his own club's fans then he will truely represent us. By the way I also wrote Terry congratulating him on his well published views and I think he too deserves our support.
  7. Channel 4 are making a documentary about Calderwood's time in charge of County called 'Big Fat Gypsy Manager'.
  8. and for the doubters, Chris Innes played a key part in stopping St Johnstone getting back into the match after he replaced Procs. He has taken time to settle but that performance should please him and I hope quite a few supporters.
  9. Might turn out to be a decent appointment. Certainly got his work cut out for him
