If this isn't a reason for an April break, I don't know what is. Does anyone care what Celtic and their fans think, have they not had their fair share of finger pointing already this season? Don't let Rangers fans thank you for it either, try to explain about the weather, and nature, how buildings are man made, but the weather can't really be controlled by man. Draw a diagram if necessary, you know the one with the sea, the sun, a hill, and a cloud, with arrows, and Simba and Mufasa explaining about the circle of life. Half the Selik support wern't even anywhere near Perth, let alone the stadium when the game was called of. They were in their houses in Aviemore, Culloden, Smifton eh, Hilton, The Ferry, and for the few that make a weekend of it and come over from Dublin on the Friday, the cells. For the few that do actually come from Glasgow, and the surrounding towns that's have several senior league teams between them that could all do with an extra supporter or two,, what were you doing leaving at 6:30? The game was supposed to kick off at 12, not 10, you were going to be waaaaay to early.5 points

Couldn't believe it when I heard the game was off today. Have to agree with the Celtic fans 100% on this one, no point in defending the indefensible. If the roles were reversed we would be saying exactly the same things. This is an absolute JOKE. Thousands of fans inconvenienced, out of pocket and time wasted. TV money lost. Celtic fans threatening to boycott away games with ICT in the future. All because we are apparently incapable of dealing with a bit of overnight rain in April. Either we get the drainage system sorted or invest in a simple pitch cover which would prevent this happening again. The groundsman is against pitch covers? I don't care. I'd rather have an imperfect pitch which is PLAYABLE, than a perfect pitch which is always UNPLAYABLE whenever it snows or rains. End of rant.2 points

Feck me, It rained all night. The game was off, and nobody is happy. Water water everywhere And all the boards did shrink Water water everywhere Nor any drop to drink I must have lied when I was seventeen Cheers God. It may have been playable In the background, you may just spot davie on his bike while tm4tj excercises his birds on the crossbar. In my opinion it would have been playable about twenty minutes later, but the ref gave up on it too early.1 point

We will finish where we finish, all we can do is sit back and hope the squad can pull one out of the bag.1 point

Game was off due to a waterlogged pitch, end of! Its frustrating yes, but these things happen. Its amazing how many people are world experts on the merits of drainage systems now!!1 point

There's a fine line between passion and stupidity. When he got Juanjo sent off, what passion! Getting a touchline ban against Hearts, what passion! Getting sent to the stand in a friendly against Athletic Bilbao, what passion! The guy's a liability and it's only a matter of time before he gets himself the sack IMO.1 point

Full report now available here, it's shorter than usual:- There's it. The game was on, the Celts were here You didnae have to be a seer To see the rain that fell o'er night Would put us in a sorry plight No for the first, and no the last The fans were treated like second class The ref he made his early decision It brought about much criticism It's no his fault, I hear them yell Something to do with the SPL They tried to phone and were enraged To find out, they were otherwise engaged The bodies that run our national game Have brought about this hall of shame There's accusations we couldn't careless Invershneckie (it's the fuckeen business) Rubber bumpers and right eenuff Have seen this city strut it's stuff But all hells let loose when a drop of rain Spoils the weekend, it's a fuckeen pain.1 point

However we look at this, it's unacceptable. Something needs to give as the USH system is now the cause of postponements not a solution to matches under threat.1 point

Don't be ridiculous. You seem to be quite content that our club are literally throwing money down the drain. It is a pain, a huge pain, but there are ways to avoid this pain and the loss of income, it's in the clubs interest to get these games played, especially the televised ones, although this one may still be televised, there's no guarantee. Also, as has been said above, why not put the game back until later in the day, after all other spl matches have been played, surely that is less of an inconvenience than having to travel the distance again for an evening game, given the forecast for the rest of today is sunny intervals. That ball is firmly in the SPL/SFA court? Man up, what about the women. Meh.1 point

The Scottish football authorities deserve all the criticism they receive .. they have no thought or consideration for fans who attend their games. To postpone a game in April two less than two hours before the scheduled kick off demonstrates how little if any thought was given to travelling fans of both clubs. The Met Office Invent forecasting system has a site for the Caledonian Stadium in Inverness. The forecast last night was for heavy rain from 02.00 hours until 10,00 hours this morning, followed by good drying conditions, a rising south westerly wind and sunshine. By midday the pitch will be draining and drying quite quickly .. by 15.00 hours it should be perfectly playable. Why was there no earlier inspection ? This nonsense of refusing to use local referees and having to use the match official in the SPL must stop .. none of this is the club's fault just part and parcel of fans being at the bottom of the list .. Health and Safety of pampered players and television timing dominate everything. I was on my way to the game having already checked that the game was on when I heard there was an inspection under way. It is a fair distance from the North West Highlands to Inverness but Caley are our team and my daughter and I were prepared to make the early start due to the midday kick off .. so we turned around and went home. If I was a Celtic fan I would be fuming. Scottish football organisation is a shambles .. a ten club SPL, inconvenient kick off times, lack of information, appalling communications, no sense of urgency, referee's strike, out of touch senior management .. the list goes on .. and finally zero consultation with you and me . the fans.1 point

yeah - u would think they would be able to control the weather wouldn't u? The club is NOT a joke and I am always PROUD to let everyone know I am a Caley Thistle fan.1 point

Here are some pictures of today's overwhelmingly peaceful protest against the violent cuts being imposed by this government. It's worth looking at them because the front pages of the reactionary right-wing press will focus entirely on a few scuffles between the police a small minority of the protesters.1 point

Motherwell have a tough 2 games ahead of the split with DU at home then Hearts away. I can see us nicking it on goal difference. But a win at Killie on Sat is a must.0 points

Don't know they are born this is really starting to wind me up. you look at these ungratefull scum taking out their frustrations on the police who are merely doing there job and then you take a look at places like libya, bahrain, egypt etc where protests are being met with death and maiming. some people in this country need to take a long hard look at themselves-1 points

How about all those people who say we should buy more weather protection put their hands in their pockets and donate it to the club seeing as you get so annoyed by it all? Its all well and good saying this shouldnt have happened but unitl a suitable solution is found all this thread is, is moaning!!!! Yeh its a pain but things happen so frankly man up and get on with it-1 points

Don't condone that either. Eh, bit of a difference in celebrating your team getting to the Champions League final and getting Juanjo sent off by blatant cheating. Another stupid thing to do. These are adults, not wee boys. And anyway, to me it looks like McCoist isn't shouting at all, more likely saying something about Diouf. It's Lennon who snaps and appears to say "hang on a second, he had a pop at me first". Oh I don't know, maybe the fact that he's a wee ned who constantly gets himself in trouble and loses nearly every must win game. He'll get found out before too long. He doesn't exactly strike me as a particularly intelligent man at all, something that'll lead to his downfall in the future. so you know him now do you? a wee ned? and not very bright, you say he dived, he'll say he never who's right and who's wrong? he'll know a wee bit better than you eh? as i said before i don't buy into this anti neil lennon bias that's been doing it's rounds since he was playing. our fans booed him as well as most other teams in scotland and that was shocking IMO-2 points
