  1. Could be a good move, cant see anyone buying him when he's had an operation, too risky, when he's fit again and proving himself back to his best then worry, but that will be the transfer window in Jan 2012.
  2. Good decision to get it done now, and get Johnny fit and ready for next season. As said, it also keeps him out of the shop window. We may not be a 1 man team, but without him we're a lot worse off. It's no coincidence that our crap run of form coincided with Hayes injury. To be honest, regardless of all the 'there's lots still to play for' shouts, truth is...the season is effectively over. While those in charge may well care, financially, whether we end up 7th or 10th, I think most fans see the remaining games as nothing more than a handful of meaningless games.
