  1. I think it is shocking that many of our colleague supporters seem to have such a downer on Proctor. He is an honest professional who has served ICT well for many years. Admittedly he is not first choice any more, but if he is picked for this match I am sure he will play his heart out for the team, and be just fine. I cannot think of one of our current defence who has not had at least one poor game this year,(some more than one), so why Proctor gets the stick he does is beyond me. Good luck to him.

  2. Yes we should win but we will only win if we give it 100%. Dunfermline will certainly give 100% and we will need to be at our best. We have gone on a bit of a run and there is a sense of togetherness in the side. Personally I would change the side as little as possible with the exception of bringing Foran back and the enforced change with Gillett out. If this means Proctor comes in I have no problem with that - I'd far rather have Proctor in my side than Barrowman. I don't know if there is an agreement that Tuffey plays in the cup games but Esson should play. We need to win and a young and inexperienced defence needs the confidence of having the number 1 keeper behind them. There may not be a lot of difference between the 2 (we shouldn't judge Tuffey on his performance in the first game) but the players in front will play better with Esson between the posts. No messing, please. This is an important game for the club to win.

  3. Won't disagree with that and I don't think anyone will forget his super performance v Clyde back in May 2004 when Rosscoe was suspended. The problem is that he now just doesn't seem up to the task of SPL football these days. Whether its doen to his injury problems over the last couple of years or some other reason but he never seems to be anything but poor when he plays first team football. I appreciate that he's been a good servant, model professional and decent bloke but that shouldn't be enough.

  4. I know we all want Johnny Hayes to stay with us, he is a good and clever player. and has been a Godsend to us. A move eventually yes to a good strong club but not the O.F. Most of the time all they want to do is buy any threats from other teams to reduce opposition quality, they don't care about the actual player. Personally I think he is too shrewd to fall for the Celtic trap and will stay with us a while yet.

  5. If we step onto EEP with that attitude we will likely lose. Just in the same way Celtic did in 2000. Remember we didn't take that very much more points from our first 17 games. We may have a gap over them just now but remember the similar gap over teams in 08/09. Nothing is done and dusted in football till the safety zone is reached. Dunfermline will be all out to win this in front of their home support and we'd do well to respect that.

  6. He will go ... the only question is when. The ambition of any professional footballer must be to play at the highest level that he can for both club and country and without slagging off ICT, he does have the ability to play at a higher level than for us ..... even if that was for one of the evil twins ... However, as noted in this thread, given the baggage that comes with playing for (or managing) one half of the OF, and just living a normal life in that city, especially as an Irish sportsman, I would hope he considers his next move very carefully and maybe holds out for a Championship side. I agree with SMEE to a certain extent in that life may not be as "comfortable" as he has it up here if he were to go elsewhere, but an up and coming role at a Championship side in England would certainly not be as stressful as it could be in the Glasgow goldfish bowl. I would love to see him stay at ICT for his whole career, but lets face it, thats not going to happen. At some point we will not be able to pay him what he is worth, and his agent or he himself will doubtless receive some eyebrow raising offers that he cannot refuse ... Its a short career (relatively speaking) and even if money does not motivate him, or is not his primary motivator, its nice to have some of it and to be able to tuck it away for living after his playing career is over .... He's given us some good years so far, and I would love to see him give us a few more, but if he does choose to move on, then he must do so with our best wishes for the future and the knowledge that ICT fans will be rooting for him when he pulls on that national team shirt too !

  7. Anyone else think that maybe that to move on could be a big mistake. Yes he will probably get a fair chunk more dosh where he goes...but to offset that...he will not lead a less comfortable personal life than he has up here. Anywhere outside the highlands is going to be a lot more "in your face". To me...theres more to consider than just money, and i doubt he will be a standout player elsehwere than he is here.
