  1. A little frustrated not to have taken anything from the game today, but that should not been seen as a negative against any of our lads. I coulda kinda see why we lined up as we did as there were threats that needed "bigger" cover that Nick Ross might have been able to provide in other areas of the park, but the trade off for that was Nick Ross up front playing the lead striker role. It didn't work out, but it wasn't for the lack of effort on Nicks part. He was quite literally bouncing off the Celtic back four in challenges due to his size. Gnakpa should be offering a more physical presence, but is a little too keen to go down when there's any hint of a foul on him....not diving, just making sure he gets the fouls. There's a time and place for that, but when you have guys waiting in the area and staying on your feet and knocking the ball across goal can provide a great opportunity then it does more harm than good. Both Red Cards were farcical, IMO and it was just another example of a referee getting a decision wrong against one team and then looking to even it up by giving another wrong decision against the opposition.....I'd also like to see the first yellow card for Williams again as I'm not convinced that was merited either. Had we got Shinnie and/or Tade today then I think it would have been a very different result.....but you can only p*ss with the c*ck you've got and everything considered I was pleased to see us making Celtic work for the result. If I had to be critical of anything it would have been the midfield getting too deep and allowing Celtic to run on to them on the edge of the final third. This made a tough job a bit more difficult for out back four....who all in all had a great game. More positives than negatives to be taken from the match.

  2. I hope Meekings was injured. Why else would you replace a RB with another RB especially when we were needing a goal. Baffles me sometimes. Surely that was the moment to remove a defender and put a forward minded player on.

  3. Listening to the commentary today I couldn't help but notice the commentator seemed to know all the Celtic players first names but only a couple, if that of ICT. Came across as sounding biased even if it wasn't intended.

  5. 19th Nov 2011 - ICT v Celtic (0-2) - Att 6,435 4th Feb 2012 - ICT v Celtic (0-2) - Att 5,743 21st Sep 2011 - Ross County v Celtic (0-2) - Att 5,367 Only 692 less people at last week's game (a drop of 11% from the November gate) - considering early kick-off, ticket prices and it was live on TV not too bad actually.....the TV revenue will have made up for those missing.... I agree like others I would like to see more through the gate but taking into account all the factors the crowd size should not have been totally unexpected....

  6. Here's one I haven't heard for a while Caley (clap, clap, clap), Caley (clap, clap, clap) - Repeated till everyone get's bored or the opposition score. Seriously though, I'm 100% behind Doofer - and not just because I'm his Dad. "Caledonia" is a stirring tune and the lyrics are very appropriate. And when it becomes the national anthem of an independent Scotland, we will be recognised as the club side that symbolises Scotland's national identity during our extensive annual travels across Europe.

  7. Agree entirely with Dougal. Why do people choose to be so naive? No one can seriously believe that an ex England or Rangers captain would refuse either of the jobs because he's managing ICT. Why would you try to convince yourself this is a remote possibility? What's more worrying is that I am engaging in a thread that suggests he is even on the radar............ 'The English FA announce that Terry Butcher (former Inverness, Brentford, Motherwell, Sunderland, Sydney and Coventry manager) is to replace Fabio Capello (former Real Madrid (twice), AC Milan, Juventus and Roma manager) as the new national head coach. We had to work really hard to persuade Terry to give up his hugely successful career in Inverness (average home crowd 3240). Maurice Malpas will be his assistant and Tommy Cummings will now look after Wembley Stadium" Note to editors: Terry's managerial honours are: Scootish Football League runners up 2005 and Scottish First ~Division Champions 2010. Fabio Cappello has won the Champions League, 8 Seria A titles, 2 La Liga titles, 4 Italian FA Cups, 1 Italian Supercup and 1 UEFA Supercup. Runners up don't count for Fabio. Terry has as much chance of being the next England manager as me or Mike Basset!!
