Can't blame the defenders for 2nd goal, after all, Scott Robertson towers over our defence, at 5ft 6inch3 points

One word again - Narcissist. Butcher is probably the most likeable, charming, charismatic and consuming manager that has ever graced the Highland football scene. He is a media darling and a figurehead for ICT. He puts us on the map across Britain. He can certainly talk the talk. But he cant walk the walk. He is sadly lacking in the game of man management, is bereft in the skill of decision making and tactically is poor. His reaction is to chop and change and always picks out a scapegoat or lays the whole blame on the team. I suspect that he will change it again and he may take back in Williams, Tudor Jones, Winnal and even Gnapka - and we get a result and he says "I told you so". We have won quite a few games this season becos of individual displays. The best role for Butcher would be as a Director of Football but we cant afford that position any more - plus the fact that his personality suits the needs of Mr sutherland & Co. But he will lead us to survival and we may even pick up after the split - and he will be there next season. It will also be heralded that we have had to endure a nightmare season where injuries to key players have had a real influence but that does not detract from the woeful emploment of tactics at times. Are you trying to tell me that Tade, Ross, Sutherland and McKay are happy to play in the roles that they have been given - are they feck but they will not speak out as they know what the reprisal will be. And how do you think that Williams and Shinnie are feeling this evening - sitting on the bench - watching a half fit loanee and a struggling legend taking their place.2 points

Surprised to see Tokely back in. Also strange that Williams was dropped, I thought he was okay against Rangers. When's Jones going to get a game? Surely he's better in there than Tansey and Ross. When's Doran back by the way?2 points

I want County up. The more that the SPL mafia have to travel north the better. Forget OF games, best games by far will be the derbies!2 points

Oh well, there's nothing like never letting up on a player who has actually served ICT well in past years. Sure makes one feel better about our team doesn't it? And, from all accounts, his last game was much better wasn't it? C'mon guys, as far as spirits are concerned I wonder if the ones you sometimes seem to favour are those out of a bottle? O.K. Last chance gulch. Let's have a spirited riposte to wake us up a wee bit.2 points

I watched this game on SkyPlus since I was out this evening. I wish I had just gone to bed. I suppose Butcher will see it as an improvement. After all, we gave Rangers a three goal start last week; tonight we only gave our opponents a two goal start before we bothered to turn up. This match proves once and for all that our management team have no concept of tactics, nor a gameplan. For the umpteenth time this season we were absolutely annihilated in midfield. All our opponents know that, at the first sign of pressure, our defensive players will pump high balls towards McKay, who can't possibly win any of them. It's not coincidence that we have struggled since we lost Davis, who was always willing to take the ball into feet even with an opposing player shadowing him. Tansey is supposed to do that job, but he's not up to it - in fact he also struggles with passing, tackling and, looking at the second goal, with marking as well. As for the idea to start with Sutherland and Tade providing width, well the mind boggles. Sure, it's not a bad idea if you push them up against the full backs and play high balls at them, but we don't do that for some reason. Both wanted to drive inside, leaving space for an overlapping full-back...except our full-backs don't go forward. So we have no width, and therefore keep punting high balls at McKay. In the final third, there is zero finesse or flair. By God, we miss Andy Shinnie. Fair play to Meekings, who I thought dealt with Mackay-Steven relatively well. The big problem - AGAIN - was in the centre. I think Golobart lacked match sharpness. As for Tokely...I think it's fair to say that he will be put out to pasture this summer. He just isn't up to it anymore at this level. What particularly struck me tonight was the number of moronic free kicks we keep giving away. Other teams manage to make their little nudges and shirt tugs subtle, so why can't we? If an opposing player is stuck in the corner, unsure what to do with the ball, he can be assured that one of our guys will hurtle into him and gift him a free kick. Wise up, for goodness sake. So, in conclusion, we are in a complete and utter mess. This, for me, is the worst state we've been in since the last few months of Brew's second spell. We've definitely taken a step back this season - let's hope it only remains one step back, and things don't get worse. But I'm dreading Saturday. Surely, surely, Jones and Winnall can't be any worse than the mob we currently have on the pitch?1 point

Absolute garbage. No pace or dynamism going forward, we just look so slow and weak. Without Johnny Hayes we aren't a threat. Esson - Poor clearence for the first goal but had a couple of decent stops. Meekings - Given a torrid time by Mackay-Steven, resorted to stupid fouls on several occasions. Tokely - Beaten in the air for the second goal. Golobart - Second best several times, including at the third goal. Looked rusty and distribution was poor. Gillet - Very slow in his use of the ball, terrible passing. Tansey - Was OK but doesn't stamp his authority on games at all. Foran - Caught out for the first goal. Sutherland - For the first half he was very poor, lacking finesse but perked up during out 'up' spell at 2-0. Ross - Powder puff, slow on the ball, didn't do anything of note. Tade - Set up chance fro McKay but nothing else. McKay - Isolated up front, didn't take right decisions when in good areas at times. We just make stupid errors and play like we are running through wet sand when we attack. We should stay up but big changes are needed. I said to my mate tonight, I can see Butcher leaving by the end of the year. If this form continues into next season, him walking is a possibility. Maybe I am just being pessimistic though - our best defender was coming back from a lay off and our two most creative players (Andy Shinnie and Johnny Hayes) are injured. The latter two fit would make a difference to us.1 point

This is a truely shocking performance. Nothing of quality in any position, passion, guile or general team work. Foran and McKay must be doing something right in training because they play week in week out but McKay has done nothing since his arrival except run at defenders never with the ball and always into the wrong channels. Has he scored in the SPL? Foran just forgets about football sometimes while mouthing off, and tonight was at fault for most of Uniteds better moves. Getting rid of a quality (albeit sometimes criticised) defender in Munro and never sorting that is ENTIRELY Butchers fault. And his tactics of late have been awful. Not calling for his head but the man has to do something and stop saying 'they played well and I wish the next game was tomorrow'.1 point

Apologies as it should have read one-upmanship which is still really one word. Its meaning is " The art of outdoing or showing up a rival or competitor, as in exploits, privileges, or honors." or " A cycle of trying to one-up or outdo an opponent" - very, very apt. If I were to utilise two words they would be "Projected Control" It is sometimes easier for us to control others when indeed we cannot control ourselves. To control ourselves, we have to know ourselves. However, instead of taking the time to look at our attributes and deficiencies, we project them on to others and turn these other people into "puppets" of ourselves. By controlling others on whom we've projected ourselves, we are, in essence, feeling in control of ourselves. An alternative may be "human puppetry".1 point

proc up against mackay-steven. he would have to watch the video of "that" trick he performed against sjohnstone. seen it a hundred times and still dont know what he did. we could all chip in and buy proctor 50 match tickets. he would need tham all to get back into tannadice Why single out Proctor for that, would any of our other defenders do any better/worse than Proctor if up gainst that. Another example of knocking a player for no good reason which is prevalent on this site. No issues with making comments on Proctor after the game if he has a bad game but come on, before it.1 point

Watching Proc play this season, I'm not convinced his normal five senses are in full working order...1 point
