I think he should be allowed to compete in the Olympics after serving his ban. There is a lot of self-kidding that goes on in sport about drugs. Performance enhancing drugs are now so advanced that you have to doubt if the testers can keep up with them or if you could even test for them. The drug Chambers failed for, THG, wasn't even known about until an athletics coach sent it to the authorities in AMerica, anonymously. You can also blood dope by having your own blood transfused into you the night before a race, this apparently goes on in cycling. How do you prove that and how do you actually ban people from doing it? Other sports have a see no evil, hear no evil attitude to it - football being one. You often hear footballers complaining about being subject to the same drug testing regime as other sports, the England team almost refused to play a game over Rio Ferdinand's failed test. However, these are exactly the same standards that other athletes are held to. Don't forget Jaap Stam and Edgar Davids both served drugs bans during their careers. I don't agree that you can say to athletes, take anything you want as these drugs are controlled and are dangerous. I'd imagine the high jumpers who beat Charle's protegy aren't pictures of health now.1 point

If Ross County don't win the league from this position then Derek ADams should resign and all their players should retire from football in shame. It would be the worst collapse since MOrton but at least all their players had the excuse of having money on someone else to win the league1 point

I think that's County bottled it now. Fully expect Falkirk to go on and win the league after that result.1 point

I don't think ability to take a throw in will be one of the deciding factors in selecting Meekings over Piermayr! But I do agree with you as I think Meekings is a better fit for the RB slot. He supports the right midfielder better and is generally more reliable defensively. Piermayr has a habit, I feel, of diving in to quickly and conceding cheap free kicks when by simply staying on his feet he would probably defend better.1 point

When Butcher came in and up untill we got relegated, I would say 'fairly statisfied'. Once we got relegated on the last game of the season I went down to 'neither satisfied or dissatisfied' as I couldn't blame him for relegation. I remained 'neither satisfied or dissatisfied' for the first half of Division 1. From the second half of Dvision 1 untill April last year I had jumped up to 'Very Satisfied'. On the announcment that Munro and Duncan were getting booted, I went down to 'fairly satisfied' (I presumed there was a grand plan but wasn't happy with the decisions). As the pre season unfolded I would say I bordered on Fairly Satisfied - neither satisfied / unsatisfied. As the season started up untill present day, I would say I have decreased to 'fairly unsatisfied'. Some of the signings have been poor and tactics baffling at times. But the new season will bring new faces and hopefully a bit more stability. So, I am optomistic that I will be fairly or even very satisfied by this time next year. I may be fairly unsatisfied at the moment, But I am happy for Butcher to be here for the long haul - there will be ups and downs! A few wins against County next season will be fantastic for morale!1 point

What do you mean disappeared? He hasn't disappeared any more than any of the rest of the under 19 squad has in the ICT frame of reference regarding being any part of the whole extended ICT set-up. He's still playing for them.as are all the rest. he means last season he was on the bench giving us all an idea he has something to offer, he even played for us. This season he has disappeared even though the team is in a shambles.1 point

well im in manfers camp on this one. I dont know where this came from after some really appalling performances but where ever it came from it was a vast improvement. But with that vast improvement we showed our underlying problem in many games this season - cannot score enough to win games we deserve to win. I though golabart was brilliant own goal a side and i though it was one of the best games greg tansey has put in in a caley shirt. I didnt think foran was great yesterday he gave away a lot of easy balls. Cammy bell was brilliant yesterday but we missed some really guilt edge chances. I thought mckay and winnall linked up well and looked dangerous just the final ball lacking again. I know we scored with 5 in midfield compared to the 4-4-2 but i though it tightened it up and made it harder and in fact it came from another great save from bell that allowed golabart to tap in. It was a much better performance and surprise surprise it culminates in us playing the ball on the deck.1 point

I have never ever read so many different opinions of the same game. FFS I have to write the report and everybody has a different view of who did what. Well, I must have been on the happy clapper pills as I thought with a liitle bit of good fortune we would have won that game convincingly. Alas our shooting is atrocious and Cammy Bell saved Killie on a number of occasions. I'll stick my head on the chopping block and offer my opinions of the days events. Esson, could have sat in the stand, had nothing to do until a late flurry of action after we equalised and Killie forced a few corners in succesion. Meekings was strong enough in the tackle, did not have much to do either, his game went unnoticed, so could'nt have done much wrong. Shinnie, allegedly was one of our better ones, never caught my eye but like Josh did nothing wrong. Rossco, was generally commanding, the usual misplaced passes but held firm when under pressure in time added on. Golobart scored a goal Messi would have been proud of, but got over it and oozed class, came back and bundled in the equaliser. Tade, better than recent poor performances but wasted a few effort, did try hard, maybe too hard. Tansey, also looked sharper than of recent, but really needs to get his boots on the right feet. Foran, close to my MotM for running himself to a standstill, should have scored when through but Bell saved well, Richie won't need reminding. Sutherland, again, he does try, and shoots on sight, but his sights are set too high I'm afraid, will do better with more experience. McKay, I thought did pretty well, twisted and turned and held up play well when ball was on the deck, no finish like the rest of them though. Winnall, unlike most I thought he looked pretty lively early on and him and McKay linked well, harshly hooked when others did less. Gnakpa, the only player everybody agrees on. He started great with a cameo against St Mirren, it's all downhill after that. Bye bye Ross, did enough to merit a start when he came on, if only he could finish as he is not wasteful when in possession. Tudur-Jones, must be getting cheesed off with last minute subby appearances. Not enough time to pass judgement Overall, we created enough chances to win half a dozen games, but our strike rate is laughable. I did think it was an entertaining enough game and the point was deserved, should have been three, Killie deserved absolutely nothing. Golobart was my Inverness MotM, followed by Foran and McKay............Bell was the real MotM though with some class saves.1 point

I'm pretty much of the same opinion as Sandy in regards the game. A neutral might have seen it as a fairly decent encounter..aside from the lack of goals. It wasn't all that dissimilar to our performance in the 6-3 game, although you wouldn't think it from some of the reports above. Just to add that I think far too many fans seem stuck in a mental rut whereby they seem to spend all their time looking for reasons to have a pop at this player or that player. Another thing that seems to stand out a mile is how local lads seem to be able to do no wrong in the eyes of our fans. It's something that caught my attention a few games ago but was as plain as the nose on your face today. Tokely, Ross etc play a stray ball and it's all claps and "good try son"...any of the rest play a stray ball, come up short or just over weight it and it's all "for feck sakes...where the hell did you find him, Butcher". I'm not talking about one or two in the crowd, I'm talking about large portions of the crowd spread around the whole ground.1 point

Gnakpa..."off the pace"...give me a break, we would have been better off going to 10 men than having him on the park. Players have off days, days where things don't go their way etc, but there's no excuse..not a single reason...for anyone to do what he did today and that was nothing, nada, not a jot. I couldn't believe what I was witnessing, he put in zero effort and didn't even look like he was bothered by the fact. For anyone calling themselves a professional footballer, that was shameful and showed utter disrespect for his team mates, the club and the fans who paid good money to watch him come on for a wee wander around. There was one ball where he thought about giving chase, but then realised that it would take more than two steps so just gave up. I'm slower than a week in jail and I could have caught it!!! Really gets my goat up when players plainly have no interest in trying and it was so bad with Gnakpa today that I would be quite delighted if he never pulled on the ICT shirt ever again...in fact, let's just send him home now so we don't risk it rubbing off on any of the other players.1 point

Dont see why Scotland would require Nuclear weapons ! However, if there is still anything left of the UK armed forces if, as and when Scotland did gain independence, then I would assume the politicos would negotiate ownership of a proportionate amount of resources from that armed forces ...... Not sure about SMEE's 7X comment .... I would have thought that at the current levels of efficiency, Scotland would not be able to rely on 'alternative' energy sources - at this time - but technology is advancing (quickly) and Scotland would be in a good place given the geography and weather to be a major generator of wind, wave and hydro energy in the future. My day job is software asset management with an engineering company and our division that covers sustainable resources or green power, whatever you want to call it, seems to be expanding almost exponentially these days !!! a lot of focus goes on "Scotland's Oil" and how its been stolen from us or we've been shafted .... in truth, its not Scotland's oil or UK oil ... its ESSO's oil or SHELL and they could not give a rats ass about Scotland, UK, or anywhere else, just about the money ...... but Scotland will be a major player as that particular resource becomes more and more scarce and therefore even more ridiculously expensive and technology advancements make our endless supply of waves/wind a cherished natural replenishable resource.1 point
