  1. Maybe Chris77 might moderate with less of an iron hand? I'm certainly no expert on either but twitter and Facebook do seem to prize fans away from traditional fans forums You are more likely to get both sides of opinions on twitter and Facebook whereas you tend to get a happy clapping one sided blinkered view on some club forums Dougal

  3. Oh goodness me! In the presence of that combined cerebral powerhouse which is dougiedanger and Dougal, I couldn't possibly comment. And in any case, not having any inclination to join that intrepid band which seems to spend its waking hours hanging about outside Celtic Park, what on earth makes anyone think I should be remotely interested in the identities of a Celtic team of around 30 years ago? But if DD and Dougal feel that they would be perceived as better individuals by the world on the strength of naming the entire group - or that society would benefit from such a feat - I would never want to stand in their way.

  5. Indeed, a day's frantic googling and still could not tell his Owen Archdeacons from his Kevin Sweeneys. Great idea for the book, how about calling it Against All Frauds.

  7. I blame Andy Murray. Dunblane 3-1 Belgium. As said, we might have deserved a point as we matched Celtic in most areas, but the final product. Sloppy goal to lose at the end killed it for us. Better performance though and we should be a match for anyone else in the league.

  9. I wonder how many players from either side our intrepid "football reporter" could name?? Chance to redeem himself from the "who's this guy Herchie" episode.

  10. .........Celtic travel to the Highlands on Sunday in a 12:15 kick off to take on Inverness who have just returned from Buckie, the former Highland League champions. Yes, that's the difference a few million pounds can make to your lifestyle.

  13. Afraid Yogi showed a real lack of professionalism at full time, the way he greeted the opposition and particularly John Collins any neutral would have thought they were celebrating a win for the same team Think it's time a one of his employers maybe had a wee word in his ear regarding his Celtic love interest as if it continues he could find himself ostracised Performance was ok I guess but bearing in mind this is the worst Celtic team since the early nineties I agree there is a hell of a lot to work on Dougal

  14. Thought we outplayed Celtic for long spells in the game but didn't get the breaks in front of goal. We were also on the end of some dodgy decisions, in particular Story being wrongly flagged for offside when clean through on the keeper. Good performances all round. Polworth continues to impress. Meekings did pretty well at right back, can see him having a wee run there. Vincent looks back to form. Celtic were rubbish bar an outstanding opener from McGregor. I reckon even the Barnes era Celtic team would drub this one. Definitely going backwards under Delia and Collins. Usually anything you take from them is a bonus, not anymore. One minor complaint. How much had the matchday sponsor had to drink when they picked their MOTM?

  17. The complete silence alone and the failure to respond says it all You might be interested I'm thinking of writing a book regarding athletics in the 1980s in particular the great rivalries between Seb Coe, Steve Ovett and Steve Cram in the 800m and 1500m I will be honest I'm not an avid athletics man by any means but I'm sure if I tell everyone I'm an expert someone might believe me Dougal

      Chairman Ross Morrison resigns

Nothing official from the club as we speak, but the Inverness Courier are running with a story that Ross Morrison has resigned at 18:00 tonight 3rd June.  More to come as this story develops, but most fans are looking for more heads to roll.

Speaking exclusively to The Inverness Courier, Mr Morrison said he is leaving now because of the aftermath of the Fife move. “I believe it [the move to Fife] is the best way forward and I have to stick with my beliefs,” Mr Morrison said. “This is the reason I'm stepping down now.”

Reflecting on his time with the Caley Thistle, Mr Morrison said: “My six-year tenure with the club has had some great and some not so great times but through everything I was immensely proud to be the chairman of the club and clubs I’ve supported for 50 years - I was a Jaggie by the way.

“I would ask the fans to rally round the club at this time and show their support by not only purchasing their season tickets but also getting involved directly with the club to see how they can help.

“Hearing fans saying they would prefer administration to training the first team in Kelty sent a shiver down my spine. Administration is a desperate thing to happen to a club and must, at all cost, not happen to ICTFC.”

    • Kelty Hearts Training Statement
What a farce we have become, a laughing stock: Did you hear the one about the footbal team from the Highlands of Scotland that want to train at Cowdenbeath? Unfortunately, unlike our board, this is not a joke. Our board are trying to rip our identity from the Highlands and replace it with shared training at Kelty Hearts. I kid you not, this is not a drill and the clowns that run our club appear to be delighted at this coup.

    • Relegation Statement
RELEGATION STATEMENT: This could have been said ten minutes after our defeat to Hamilton three days ago. So far, this is not the news that we on Caley Thistle Online wanted to hear. Pleased that we will still function as a club, disappointed that resignations have not been offered yet. Keeping fans waiting in silence for three days is unforgivable and relationships are drifting further apart than ever before. Silence is not the way forward, we deserve better as fans.

    • Inverness CT 2-3 (3-5) Hamilton - Play off final (relegation)
RELEGATED: Despite Inverness needing to get off the mark quickly, it was Accies that killed the tie inside the first fifteen minutes with strikes from Kevin O'Hara and Lewis Smith. Cammy Kerr reduced the leeway with a good strike from distance, but O'Hara struck again with a penalty before the break to diffuse the revival. We struggled to create anything of note and this reporter could not stomach any more and left the stadium. I'm told Alex Samuel pulled a goal back in stoppage time, but like the rest of the season it was too little too late.
