  1. The arrogance of Celtic in letting the trip go ahead last week defies belief. I agree that playing the game with a weakened side means they have got off lightly, and what confidence can there be that there are not other players who should be isolating given they were all together last week in Dubai? They should have points deducted and given a large fine that can be used to let lower league teams pay for their testing.
  2. The First Minister said today that any actions against Celtic were a matter for the football authorities. It is appropriate that the football authorities should take action here, but why is it solely down to them? In general, people are exempt from staying at home if they are unable to work from home and the exemptions specifically stipulate that training for professional sport is included in that. But the new law also states that travel should be as close to home as possible. Surely nobody believes that the trip to Dubai was essential and therefore they should be facing prosecution.
  3. Having to play with a weakened team is the very least punishment they should receive for their selfish, arrogant, dangerous and ill considered trip. As usual though, when it comes to the Old Firm, the football authorities will almost certainly bottle it.

I was disappointed that BBC didn't mention his time at ICT and in-particular that winning goal against Celtic in the semi final of the Scottish Cup and also the fact he has a Scottish Cup Winners medal...and he can play the guitar.
  5. Its Hearts they play next. The winner of that game plays Stranraer in the next round.

When it all shakes out Marine probably did better financially than if it had been played out under normal circumstances - fantastic gesture from the Spurs fans. However, it's a great shame that the Marine fans missed out on their great day. At least those lucky enough to have their gardens bordering the ground had a great night, as did Cardboard Jurgen Klopp - gotta love the Scousers' humour!
  7. Interesting statement from Hibs. Their request seems very reasonable and sensible to me. More to come on this I suspect. Hopefully no Hibs players contract it as a result of tonight’s game going ahead. https://www.hibernianfc.co.uk/article/club-statement-1
  8. Games 3 weeks away and I can already see that Coll's given away a penalty
  9. Back on topic. Without taking anything for granted, assuming we beat Buckie, I can imagine a very large number of fans from both teams wanting to stream the El Kessicko cup tie thus generating a fair bit of income. Given that gate receipts are shared in cup ties, after deduction of reasonable expenses, it seems to me only fair, in the current circumstances, that the same should be true of this income. Especially, given that there is no scope for a replay.

Is our legend David Raven the first ex ICT player to feature in a BBC1 televised game v a Real Madrid player (Gareth Bale). He will always be an ICT legend and was great today in a non league team v Spurs. Well done, our Dave the Rave.
  11. All five Championship games tomorrow were postponed after the cup postponements at the weekend. It looks like none of them have been rearranged so we now have three league games and at least one cup game to catch up on assuming our league does not get suspended. 30 January could now be used for a full round of games.
  12. Congratulations to Brora Rangers who came from behind to beat Camelon Juniors away to progress to the third round. There reward, assuming the competition can resume, a home tie against Hearts or Stranraer.

A great shame for Dave, the Marine players and, most particularly, the fans, that this event had to take place behind closed doors. For the fans and for all but one of the Marine players this would have been the biggest and most important day in their footballing lives.
  14. Need to get past a good Buckie side before we think about County

Well it wasn’t to be but 5-0 was not a disgrace. Great to hear him described as “excellent” by Dion Dublin after he was subbed. I wonder if that will be his last game given the league he is in is being suspended and may be voided. If it is, quite a game to end with!
  16. Ravs off in the 80th Minute, Marine going to concede a lot more goals now without the main man...

The family have just shared funeral details on Facebook. Thank you for all your kind messages and cards. Ian's funeral will take place in Perth at 2pm on Friday 15 January 2021. Due to current restrictions, it will have to be private, but there will be a live stream. We'll receive the link on Thursday and will share that here for anyone who wishes to attend virtually. If you would like to make a donation in his name, we welcome contributions to Dogs Trust : https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ianbroadfoot
