Same old ****, nothing changes and never will - just add it to the list along other actions which shame the Scottish game. There will be some initiatives launched, outrage tweeted or in media interviews by (including but not limited to) - politicians (who see it as point scoring opportunities), the police, clubs involved (usual media spin) and then the SPFL board. We all know what needs to happen - guilty clubs hit hard with big fines (maybe proportional to the gate money income or higher), serious warnings then closed door games or docking points. None of it will happen though - we will be discussing this or another similar topic/event next season and the one after into infinity.3 points

Unfortunately not the 2 any sane fan would hope in order to avoid any contact with them in a league setting. The scenes yesterday show exactly what we aren't missing and being in a league where you don't have to consider whether to avoid certain games (home or away) or if its an environment to take kids along is somewhat a nice feeling that I sometimes thing lower league fans overlook.3 points

I am very much hoping that Raith's victory in the Challenge Cup final will, in a few weeks, prove a little consolation for missing out on the play offs. The final was a decent enough game. However, I don't think that a national final should ever be played on a synthetic surface where there are other venues with sufficient capacity and in a reasonably neutral location with a grass pitch available.3 points

Paul Cherry Medal Raffle In Aid Of Dnipro Kids APRIL 4, 2022 ICTFC MEDIA Former Caley Thistle player Paul Cherry is raffling his 1996/97 Third Division Winners medal in aid of the charity Dnipro Kids, to help with the ongoing crisis in Ukraine. Entries to the Raffle cost £10 and are available HERE & the Raffle ends on Saturday, 30th April 2022 Cherry made over 100 appearances for the Caley Jags, scoring 19 goals in his time during the club between 1996 and 1999. 1996/97 Squad Photo The former ICTFC Midfielder spoke to ictfc.com about his decision to raffle his 1996/97 league Winners medal. Cherry said: “The medal has been in my drawer in my house and I thought the money we can hopefully raise can go to better use for these young kids.” “The charity was set up by my friend Steven Carr, I saw him on national television when he was bringing the Ukrainian orphans over to the UK. There was about 50 of them and I thought that was just superb and I thought if I could help in any way then I would. “Obviously, for a football supporter, to have a chance to have a tiny bit of the club’s history with a medal then everyone benefits. I have the memories in my head, I’ve got scrap books so I don’t need medals.” Paul also reflected on his time at Inverness being a positive one in his career and the vision of the club attracted him at the time. He said: “When I came up to Inverness, I’d left St Johnstone where I’d had a successful career, we had Dougie McGilvray as Chairman at the time, Steve Paterson as manager and the vision they had was something I wanted to be apart of.” “Moving to a new Stadium, Inverness wanted to get onto the football map which they’ve obviously done really well since then. The club had really nice people, a great team spirit which is the most important thing, all successful teams have very good team spirits and that’s what Steve Paterson and Alex Caldwell tried to grow.” “It was just a really good, enjoyable and successful period up there. I only have good memories and look out for their results every week.” Since retiring from football Paul has since moved to Spain. He said: “We moved to Spain 17 years ago, we have an estate agency which is CherSun.com which keeps us really busy.” “We have a really nice lifestyle over here. I don’t miss the Inverness weather!” “I had great football memories up in Inverness. I still watchout for a few of my ex-teammates who work for the club Billy Dodds, John Robertson, Barry Wilson and Charlie Christie. I have great memories there and hopefully the club can be promoted back to the Premiership, where they deserve to be.”2 points

I’ve bought a couple of tickets - such a great gesture for a great cause. If I win I will enjoy the prize for a very wee while and then return to Paul for his memorabilia.2 points

Thanks for posting that. I will be purchasing a couple of tickets for such a worthy cause and should I be successful will return the medal to Paul who deserves still to own it as much for this gesture as for his considerable contribution to winning our first national title. I well remember the trophy presentation which was only slightly dampened by being thrashed at home by Forfar on the final day of the season. However, the league was well won long before then. Paul was a fine player who I imagine would have been close to Sergei Baltacha from their time together at St Johnstone.2 points

There are very few advantages of being in the Championship but not having to endure the toxicity that comes with playing either one of the Ugly Sisters is, without doubt, one of them.2 points

A share of the points between Partick and Arbroath probably the ideal result. Keeps Partick at arms length and, assuming we can take advantage of our games in hand, keeps our hopes of second place entirely realistic. A joy and a relief to still have all to play for after such a horrible run of form and results until relatively recently. Come on the Caley Jags !1 point

Andy Macrae got 3 and looks some player, my MoM apart from his goals. Other scorers Andy Sutherland, Jordan Macrae, Colin Williamson, Martin MacLean. Dale Gillespie played and Tony Dingwall, that guy that the County fans thought was better than Ryan Christie... I went to the game as Turriff was the only ground in the HL I had never visited. Here's Capn Josh who gave himself the first half. Wee Andy Macrae is on the right, Gillespie on the left.1 point

Even if clubs restricted away ticket numbers, Old Firm fans would buy tickets for the home sections. Before our relegation, I often found Old Firm fans in seats close to mine. It shouldn’t happen but not sure how a club could police it when selling tickets for non season ticket seats, other than to only allow season ticket holders to attend, which would be very controversial.1 point

Imagine the bounce in the away end defeating that horrible mob 3 - 1 in their own back yard1 point

Which IMO, is the hyporcitical crap in Scottish football which gives the greenlight for their clubs and fans to conduct themselves in any manner they see fit without repercussions. While I understand no club wants to 'cut off their nose etc' but realistically when a club offers approx 700 way tickets out of a stadia of (50/60000) - marginally over 1%, the idea that in return the other clubs are happy to offer as much as 3 stands in some cases (60-70%) of the capacity to OF fans (with the known hate and bile they bring at the detriment of their own fans) then its all that is wrong and just says everything is ok and fair game when its cash!!!!1 point

I agree. Some limited compensation for what we have to endure when they visit. Although, even that is negated by the cost of additional policing and stewarding and, far too of, repairing vandalism.1 point

Yes, 2nd place a definite possibility now. Unfortunately, winning the league looks out of our reach. But a good run in our final 5 games should see us going into the play offs with our confidence high. So all to play for. I must admit that before this tidy run of 3 wins I thought our season was over, so it is great to be looking forward to our matches again. Come on lads, finish the season in style!1 point
