  1. Good to see the club supporting the Trust by encouraging new members: https://ictfc.com/supporters-trust-recruitment-drive Hopefully it gets a positive response.

  2. The owner of the Bentley is Gavin MacDonald who has a flooring company in Inverness. His father John (Jojo) is the second hand car dealer and Jojo's father was John (Jock) Macdonald who lived in Cameron Square and had a scrapyard in Lotland Street. About 1970 Jock bought 2 old oil tanks on the shores of Loch Ewe on the Inverasdale road for scrap but to protect them they were surrounded by brick. My father who worked for Willaim Tawse had experience with explosives while doing road building with the Forestry Commision got the job cash in hand to blow away the brick. During the week the jelly and fuse wire were delivered to our next door neighbours shed in Benula Road as he was helping out. Jock provided a Blue Austin Cambridge full of fuel for the job and on Saturday morning the stuff was loaded in the boot and away we went along with the neighbour and his two sons. While my father was setting the explosives we were sent round the local houses to say there would be a loud noise but it was nothing to worry about! After the big bang the bricks crumbled in the dust exposing the steel tanks ready for cutting with the blowtorch, job done without health and safety

  3. There is no reason why Board members need to be born and bred Invernessians. In my opinion, what matters is that those involved have the desire to contribute to the Board, to make a positive difference and to work with the club to enhance it, both on and off the pitch. They are giving their time voluntarily for no financial or other gain, so should get our collective support. Having a varied Board with different backgrounds is important for it to work well. I consider myself a local, but only moved to the Highlands when I was 4, spent my school days in Fort William, then ended up in the central belt and I only lived in Inverness (first time round) in 1992. Work then took me away for a number of years before returning 8 years ago. That in no way detracts from my passion for the club.

  4. I'm trying to sign up four members. Two at one address and two at another. Entered two names on the form but only charges for one so I've given up for now.

  5. Good effort. I recognise the efforts put in by a small number of individuals and have joined this week. I hope others do too.
