  1. I’ll take a point, especially given that Partick really should have scored at the end. On the plus side the defence looked pretty solid, but it also felt we could have played until midnight without scoring. A front line of Samuels, Lodovica and Brooks at the end felt a bit short of quality. Anderson and Gilmour put in some shift in the middle of the park and Longstaff looked keen to take men on. Build up was a bit pedestrian at times and there was a tendency to pass sideways or turn back rather than try and find a man further forward. On the occasions McKay did break through, we were slow to support. If someone can find the Shaw from the end of last season, that would be great. Green shoots for sure, and not letting them in for fun at the back is an improvement. No idea what the Partick love-in is all about, they looked pretty ordinary to be honest. [Edit] Thought the ref had a decent game too. Wasn’t too fussy, or card happy and quite happy to let the game flow.

  2. A clean sheet against the league's top scorers. Even without all our struggles of late, that would have been a positive and a draw more than acceptable.

  4. Apart from all the guff here, trying to work out why all the media luvvies think Partick are the big team... The all spout the same sh!te that Partick were held to a draw........ Hold on a minute, but God forbid, here's another view: Inverness were held to a draw??? Why are we always subject to these central belt weegie headlines. It completely misconstrues the situation. Meh!

  5. I really couldn't see what all the fuss was about, with some saying Partick were one of the favourites for the league. I thought they weren't as strong or as lethal in attack as they were last season. They certainly weren't the best team I have seen this season, in fact I thought they were quite average. So, hopefully as our confidence grows, and maybe if DF can find a quality player or two to complete the building process, we can start to pull ourselves nearer and nearer to the pack.

  7. One special mention. Nathan Shaw put in a tackle in the second half not long before he went off. Outstanding and then set up a great move. Never gave in

  8. We definitely played much better today The players looked altogether happier and looked like they were playing for each other. Great to see big Dunc acknowledging the fans after the game. Feck knows how he stood all game with a jumper and shirt on in that weather Hard as Nails. In Dunc we believe

  9. Well done to all the boys. I thought that was a much better team performance.First half was scrappy and first 15 minutes we looked shaky, but second half we came in to our own and had some good touches with all getting pass marks.Only criticism I would have is we should shoot on sight rather than try and pass the ball in.The team seems to have found some belief and have harnessed the passion guile and drive off big Dunc.At times we looked like Caley of old with some edge of the seat moments.Gone is hoof ball and great to see Dunc get the boys to push forward and have a high line, but get them all behind the ball when not in possession.Promising outlook.

  10. Given the conditions, a decent enough game for a 0-0. We certainly merited the point and with better use of the ball we could even have got three. It is good to finally get a clean sheet although Partick did create the better chances with Ridgers called into action a couple of times. We had a big call for a penalty early in the second half but it wasn’t given. Otherwise I thought the referee did well, taking account of the conditions (when others would have booked Harper). Just a pity he didn’t book Graham for claiming a penalty after trying to dive to head the ball (which he missed) with none of our players close to him. I hope Doran is not badly injured and it’s just a strain that clears up quickly. Udjur strolled through the game and looks a real find. Gilmour is becoming more influential in the middle, whilst if Longstaff can find the final ball he will become a real player. As others have said, Mckay was the stand out player in our line up. Our unbeaten run is up to 2 games and Ferguson was keen to acknowledge the fans again, both before and after the game. Onwards and upwards!

  11. Looking forward to hearing how the second half went and how everyone faired. Holding Partick to a draw and keeping a clean sheet against them has to be a major step forward - we would never have managed that two weeks ago!

  12. Just listened to Dunc’s pre-match, as STFU said, a breath of fresh air! Loved his honesty about the task ahead. If the players buy into his way of working and thinking (no reason why they wouldn’t) then I feel we have a good chance of clawing our way out of this mess and up the table.

  13. Could this be the start of a ‘Big Dunc’ effect attracting decent players? Can’t imagine he’d have considered coming here under the previous management team. Always had a lot of respect for the lad, he could do a good job for us.

  15. What a breath of fresh air listening to Ferguson's pre-match, especially how much he values and appreciates the fans. If only our CEO and Chairman shared that view!

  18. That was some morning at the SWF U14s North Highlands League Cup final! ICT U14s Reds V an undefeated Ross County U14s. 0-0 at full time. 1-1 AET (both goals in the last 4 minutes! ). Ended 8-7 on penalties for the girls in Red & Blue. The girls showed absolute grit and determination to hold their nerve through the penalties after 90 mins of football against girls, some of whom were 3 or 4 years older. Well done to all the ICT girls and the coaches for fostering such an awesome team spirit
