  1. May as well report something positive I’ve had very few problems in the past couple of months. All the issues I’ve mentioned in the thread seem to have cleared up except occasionally on the iPad when I try to scroll back to the top of a page, it goes blank and I have to quit Safari before it’ll load anything else. The main thing is that posting works even with quotes and images. This was a major problem before on Mac and iPad although it didn’t seem to affect my iPhone.

  2. Dunfermline won 3-0 so we remain 7th, 5 points behind Dunfermline in fourth although we have a game in hand (away to Morton two weeks tonight) against the three teams immediately above us.

  3. I have been reading this article on BBC online which is a change from the normal news. The Ferguson shipyard ships that nobody talks about - BBC News What's gone wrong? A company that was well run with a large experienced work force doing fine till people who don't know what they are doing take over running the company just looking to make a fortune without putting in the work. They cut the staff getting rid of the most experienced workers to cut costs and hire others who are not up to doing the job! It is so familiar throughout all industry now which is sad and everyone blames the other.

  4. As long as I don't have to sit through 80 minutes of brain rotting football, I'm happy

  5. We seem to be doing that when ahead, as we did that against both Airdrie and Ayr in our recent home wins, and our later substitutions have generally been to strengthen us defensively. I assume it is deliberate as we try to build our points total, but we are good enough to continue to play in the manner that has got us in from in games rather than making us all very nervous as we get to the end of games.

  6. it's good to see results improving. was at the match and clearly we were very lucky to be one to the good at half time. For the first 20 minutes or so of the second half we played some great football and all but went 2 up. We then seemed to just sit back (really don't know why) and invited Dunfermline to score and at the end were lucky not to lose. Noticeable even though we are undefeated under Duncan, our performances seem to drop off the longer the match goes on. We need to fix that quick.

  7. Ok, its not really an app !! but the forum software now has a feature built in that will work on iPhones that are capable of using IOS 16.4 or later and function like a standalone application. It allows you to create a shortcut on the home page of your phone that functions like a native App, sends you notifications and generally utilises as much screen space as possible. You do not have to do this to use the site on mobile, but I have been using it for a few weeks and it seems pretty stable and easy to use and just feels better than a browser window. A few clarifying notes first: If you have iOS 16.3 or earlier then you can still do the regular desktop shortcut I describe below, but you will not get the notifications and it will still open in a browser. The 'app' format (called Progressive Web App or PWA) is an Apple feature for iOS 16.4 and up. If you have android then you may be able to do similar but I don't know as I have never used Android phones, always an Apple guy. This will work using Edge or Safari on iPhone. It does not appear to work on Chrome on iPhone. Thats a limitation of Chrome or Apple, not sure which and nothing we can do to make it work. OK, you made it this far and want the CTO 'APP' on your home screen. Great! Read on... (if any image is too small, please click on it for full size). MS EDGE MOBILE Load CTO in your browser. Click the 'more' icon in the bottom right This will load additional options for Edge. Click on the Share icon and 'Add to Home Screen' and give it a name. This will add the icon to the home page SAFARI MOBILE Load CTO in your browser. Click the 'share' icon in the bottom taskbar This will load additional options for Safari. Click on the 'Add to Home Screen' and give it a name, then click ADD This will add the icon to the home page You can now view the site as an almost full screen progressive web app. Configure Notifications (optional) From here it does not matter if Edge/Safari was used. Go to https://caleythistleonline.com/notifications/options/ on the main site. If using mobile that would be as shown below. Configure the various notifications to send you email or, if you want it on screen, to push it to you where that is an option Next time you get a message or another notification that is pushed to you it will alert you on your phone like a regular app. One caveat - this will NOT (currently) show the number of unread messages or notifications on your app like regular apps. This is a limitation from Apple, not from the software.

  8. I may be dreaming this as I can't find where I saw it, but I recall seeing something from Ferguson that said the team were being trained previously as if they were part-time, and it would take a little bit to get the squad fully up to a fitness level where they could play the way he wants for the full 90mins. That could mean that subs are as much about that transition and not pushing players too hard for 90 mins, as opposed to it being tactical.
