It was 10 years ago today that we won the Scottish Cup. What a day, what a team, what memories!

Alan Savage gave a talk to this morning’s Inverness Football Memories group (where Danny Devine also gave an excellent inside account of the Scottish Cup win 10 years ago). Alan’s talk was both autobiographical, as well as informative in terms of progress on administration. It seems that all conceivable obstacles are on the point of resolution and it’s highly likely that he will be owner by June 6th. He also gave an insight into possible money making initiatives (whilst strongly emphasising the need to concentrate on football) as well as several cost cutting possibilities such as low energy floodlights. The autobiographical part was also rather interesting, highlighting his origins effectively as a technician in the Manchester area before relocating North after a “temporary” assignment to oversee equipment at Ardersier. Orion followed on from that, helped by a range of breaks such as staff becoming surplus at McDermotts and in need of re-employment, to an unexpected windfall from a contract near Singapore.

Oh and I still think Watkins should’ve passed!

Musa has been dropped from the Gambia squad for their next 2 matches. It’s the curse of leaving ICT!

Biggest team effort the club will ever have witnessed....on the park, off field staff, and fans. A culmination of 10 years work that brought everything together that season.

Same here. But then the keeper parries it out, I see Vincent running in and in the space of about a second (felt like a lot longer at the time) the thoughts in my head were: Is he going to get to it? He is going to get to it. He got to it. It’s in! [Bedlam ensues]

First round of tweaks and tidy-ups have now started. Most of these are invisible to users but the most visible is that we have now converted the Supporters Trust forum to a 'club'. This will allow them to host not only a separate sub-forum, but also have a blog, files for download, an event calendar and even custom pages, all in one enclosed space. The club area on here is 'free' to join but that is separate to the actual trust which still takes membership from their own site / links. It is also (currently) shown as an 'open' club which means that: "everyone can see the club and its posts, but only members can participate. Everyone can join". The club moderators will choose if it stays that way or changes to a different type. Currently @DoofersDad is set as the owner. You can access this area either from the CLUBS link in the menu at the top or depending on how you view the forums from various other places.

Rothes Football Club Wednesday 25 June 7:30pm kick-off Mackessack Park, Rothes Supporters please note: As previously announced, we'll also be fielding a side at Nairn County FC (7:30pm) the same evening. The squad will be split across both matches to maximise pre-season game time.
