  1. That was a hard watch. We rattled the woodwork in the first half and their keeper had several good saves. I thought the early goal after half time would galvanise us but we stopped playing and invited Montrose onto us and we could easily have ended up drawing. Our pitch is normally excellent but I lost count of how many times our players slipped (Montrose players didn’t seem to) and that could easily have cost us dearly. Our passing was very slack at times. At half time, I thought MacKinnon, Sole and Macleod were our best players but the first two were hooked early in the second half. I assume MacKinnon is being protected after his injury, whilst Sole was out doing exercises at half time so presumably had picked up a knock. Allan was the stand out in the second half with Zimba taking his goal well and Munro having some decent saves. In previous seasons we’d probably not have seen the game out, but we should not have had the tense ending we had, and it was self inflicted. But let’s remember that we got the job done and are top of the league so let’s put a poor performance behind us and enjoy where we are!
  2. Halloween Trick or Treat The Gable Endies come North on Halloween Saturday as we head into a spooktacular Matchday 12 in League1, where dookin for apples and guising for nuts will be the order of the day. The Caley Jags sit in second place with Montrose slipping up recently losing their last three games which has dropped them to third bottom of the League1 table and shipping ten goals in the process. We picked up a valuable three points at Peterhead last week after a couple of uninspiring performances to get back on track and sit just one point behind Stenhousemuir who face a testing visit to Palmerston and East Fife heading to cash strapped Hamilton Accies. All to play for! The big question is: Will it be a Trick or a Treat... 💀👻🍒 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Match/Ticket/Bar/Bus/Info ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 3rd Round tie at Foresters Park v Tranent will be ALL TICKET. 🎫Ticket Prices for tie to be played weekend of 29th November Adults - £15 👵 Concessions - £10 🧒Under 15s - £5 (must have a ticket and be accompanied by an adult) Tickets will be available to purchase soon - stay tuned for on-sale details and make sure you don’t miss what’s set to be a massive afternoon at Foresters Park! 👊 Our starting XI at Peterhead. 3. I'm not sure hammering the ball repeatedly at the keeper counts as good saves. Once or twice we worked him maybe, but apart from that just poor finishing. We seem to lose cohesion after the substitutions, play becomes very scrappy and we end up on the wrong side of possession, desperately chasing the ball. Still plenty of things to work on in training.
  4. Like everyone has said; we were totally comfortable until we scored. The performance after that was shambolic ! 🤯
  5. Fully agree with all of this. No intensity in the second half at all
  6. That was a hard watch after we scored. Yet again, we just seemed to stop playing, could pass to each other and lost most of the second balls. It's worrying as it's not the first time this has happened. Either we lack fitness or players are carrying knocks. I don't think Kellagher escapes criticism either as, at times, he seems incapable of changing the game with his substitutions. What is more frustrating is that up to the goal, we created plenty chances and had it not been for the Montrose keeper, we would have been out of sight. Typical poor performance from the referee as usual.
  7. Looking good, well done again today!
  8. FT 1-0. Sounds like it should have been all over by half time, but it’s a win and another good day for us.
  9. A win is a win and 3 points is very welcome! But, Feck what happened after we scored? Seems that we mentally turn off! That last 20 mins was frankly ridiculous! Which team was the full time pro ? Cove next week and will our shocking home form mean we scrape a 1 0 and hang on, Wonder how Kell will explain the 2nd half collapse? Anyway, for me the best players were Chalmers, Savage and Allan.
  10. No sign of anyone else, either. Lonely here
  11. At least we don't have Gardyne to booo at now, thank goodness!
