  1. Having seen the highlights now, I think Tokely was lucky to stay on the pitch after that. He went in with studs showing and took the boy out, right under the refs nose. Whether or not there was malice in Paton's challenege I dont know, but he seemed to flick his boot back in towards Hayes after, when he could easily have just kept going. Another ref might have kept Paton on and Tokely off, but c'est la vie, I'm not complaining. Oh and Jonny meant that.

  2. Great result, but Aberdeen were dire. Didnt really notice that Diamond was offside, and didnt think anyone in our team was even claiming it, but delighted the linesman saw something worth disallowing it. We rode our luck with that and Hayes goal though. Rooney's wee dink over the keeper seemed to take an age to cross the line, but was a huge relief when it went in. Dont think there was any malice in Tokely's challenge, just clumsy and mis-timed. Hopefully the boy isn't too badly hurt. Some good performances yesterday from Hayes, Rooney and Foran. Its brilliant to have him back in the squad, giving us another dimension in attack really. Thought Munro was brilliant yesterday too, he's looking far more composed and solid this season than he ever has done IMO and swept up nearly everything that came his way. Good to see the stewards and polis not being jobsworths yesterday aswell, despite standing up the top of the stairs throughout the 90 mins. Made someone take down a flag, as it was blocking an advertising board which is fair game, but other than that there was no problems and made it more enjoyable and a much easier day for them and also ourselves trying to create a bit of atmosphere. As for Aberdire.. They're not famous anymore!!

  3. It's actually a bit of common sense from both sides. The Club, the Supporters Trust and some of the lads from that area sat down together at a meeting and worked through how they could improve the situation that existed previously. A little bit of give and take by all parties and what we witnessed today is the outcome, and long may it continue.

  4. Why is this post on 3 red dots? Have a green yin to even it up a little bit, didn't hear much from the Main Stand either but presuming they made some noise to warrant these comments so well done all involved.

  5. Personally I couldn't hear anything from the main stand. Probably cos me and missus were right in among the lads in section G and nothing could be heard over them.

  6. If I understood your post correctly, I think you have covered just about every possible outcome, apart from winning the SPL. There is nothing wrong with pigeon English..........if you are a pigeon, and English. A long way to go yet.

  8. Yes, I'm sure you couldn't. Unfortunately neither could some Caley fans, who were in effect guests at Huntly's title celebration on their own patch, find themselves capable of allowing their own club to pass into history with the dignity which its own achievements would most certainly have merited. A dignity, by the way, which was in contrast being achieved with distinction at exactly the same time 66 miles away at Kingsmills Park.

  9. This is correct. Foran is still not back to where he was, though Hayes fitness is improving. He kept going for the full 90 yesterday. Also a note for Rosco, as he seemed to have most of the flyballs covered. I too wil put my hand up and say that I didn't think the red was deserved, whilst it is not like Hayes to fake. I never saw a stamp and I was fairly close, looked like a tangle to me. Having said that, we would still have won, had they kept the 11. Rosco on the other hand probly desereved a red, just when Mr. Biro had said he had outgrown that kind of thing. I wonder will he be a marked man for the sheep as well as the Smirrens?

  11. Christie Park 14th May 1994. I was there too, dodging the coins some of the rebels threw after the game on a day when a number of Caley fans disgraced their club and Inverness. Huntly were celebrating their first Highland League title for 64 years - under the managership of Steve Paterson. Unfortunately the behaviour of a minority of Caley "fans", over an issue about which the happy home support couldn't give a toss, spoiled the occasion which ended in a 1 all draw where Wilson Robertson scored Caledonian FC's last ever goal. We couldn't give a toss that Huntly had won the league , we had just witnessed our teams last ever match after 100+ years in existence .

Sorry Alex don't go with all this section G p*sh. We hear you, but the volume levels are pretty poor and stuttering. I sit in the main stand periodically and observe the likes of Drew and "neighbours" attempts to motivate the paper rustlers. Yesterday they suceeded and I think the majority actually enjoyed the atmosphere and banter. Wish it could only be a regular occurence. If there was a uniform "team" backing instead of "stand" sniping perhaps Terry's comments would not be an exception but the rule. PS. Could somebody please explain this "dot" system which seems to be an irritating clique feel good factor for moderators and geeks. I like to visit the forum for a bit of fun, but it's getting a labour with all these veiled sub-sections. Rant over, bring back the old school when you could just come online and enjoy a bit of Craic !!

    • Inverness CT 2-3 (3-5) Hamilton - Play off final (relegation)
RELEGATED: Despite Inverness needing to get off the mark quickly, it was Accies that killed the tie inside the first fifteen minutes with strikes from Kevin O'Hara and Lewis Smith. Cammy Kerr reduced the leeway with a good strike from distance, but O'Hara struck again with a penalty before the break to diffuse the revival. We struggled to create anything of note and this reporter could not stomach any more and left the stadium. I'm told Alex Samuel pulled a goal back in stoppage time, but like the rest of the season it was too little too late.

    • Hamilton 2-1 Inverness CT - Play off final 1st Leg
A better showing from Inverness in the second half, especially with Lawal and Pepple on the park but it's Hamilton that take a one goal advantage up the A9 on Saturday. Lawal has been the standout performer in our last few games and surely he must start on Saturday. Pepple also did well, scored the goal, had an effort saved and got in a few balls across the box from tight positions.

Still, a shocker of a first half and we must be up for it from the start on Saturday.

    • Inverness CT (1-2) Hamilton - Play off Final 2nd Leg - Preview
The hurt, the pain, the reluctance and pig-headedness to listen to the fans asking what is going on, the lack of communication, the lack of ambition, the stench of mismanagement, the concert company, the battery farm, the demise since winning the Scottish Cup in 2015, the lack of passion, the lack of commitment, the dwindling fanbase, the lack of leadership. It has left the fans comfortably numb

    • Hamilton -V- Inverness CT - Play off Final 1st Leg - Preview
However all is not well and we just kept our heads above water thanks to Arbroath being rubbish. Onto the play offs and an insipid performance at Links Park left us all wondering if our time has come to drop into oblivion. Our performance certainly would not look out of place in the lower leagues. We clung on for a 0-0 draw away from home and scraped a 1-0 win at Inverness with Billy Mckay saving our blushes. Everything about the club has negative undertones at the moment.

    • Inverness CT 1-0 Montrose Play-Off Second Leg (0-0)
Little Consolation: Inverness will face Hamilton Accies in the Play-Off final after nervously scraping past part-time Montrose who were eventually reduced to ten men when Blair Lyons was sent off after an off the ball incident in the 84th minute involving Morgan Boyes. Inverness had dominated throughout, but failed to capitalise on their possession, and as per the entire season failed to create much of note. The first half was livlier than the first leg, but the same problems showed up our lack of quality. We started with no wingers and Billy Mckay as usual in a withdrawn role. It's not worked all season, so why should it suddenly work now. A woeful first half ended goalless and it was on the hour and out of the blue when Billy Mckay prodded in from three yards to score the only goal of the game following a corner
