Instead of giving a red dot why not answer the question ? you never seem to be supporting the team on here always critisising theres so many reasond why youd want buthcher as your manager passion, publicity, the players he can take with him yes he has his draw backs but all in all hes a good manager i cant see hibs getting many better a manager than butcher

If anyone is in the Glasgow area tomorrow and fancy watching a Champions League Quarter Final, then head along to Petershill Park (Springburn). Glasgow Cty (ladies football team) are at home to German opposition, and two in a row European Champions. It was 10-0 to the Germans in the first leg, so expect some goals! p.s. the bar is open throughout the game and it's quite cheap, I discovered when they played the Icelandics in the last round! My work colleague plays for City so I like to show my support. Should be arond 600 at the game. 6pm kick off.

is it just me or do some of us need to get a grip...is the fact that our shop is a portacabin really high on the list of current worries at the club personally i couldnt care less if we were playing on a ploughed field at the moment and would far rather see the club be more concerned with climbing the league

It is undoubtedly the worried naievity of a poster addressing the forum fer the first time and I hope that Bigfannie has now amassed an overwhelming feeling of assurity. As fer the Dalneigh Caley - the retort is a good one from my perspective - a leading question which could be a wee bait for some but potentially a thought fer the day fer others. Many have chipped in with a variety of reasons whcih many of the rose tinted, reactively blinded loyal will perceive as being negative rather than the harsh reality. IMHO Butcher simply does not meet the usual Hibee model fer their managers - no link to the club in many ways, a bit too much of an individual who would not bow down to the Dirsctors and the Board and too much of an ex Hun fer the Easter Road faithful to stomach. And lets face it he has the personality, the charisma and the media attractiveness but he really has done feck all in regard to management that would attract a potentially "big club" like Hibs. He has possibly found his niche at Inversneck and may well accept that he may not be able to succeed at a higher level. And that is all good news fer us - what we need is a "personality" in charge and one where the first aim is to keep us in the SPL, the second is to get us in the Top Six and then potentially Cup Final and/or a game in Europe. All of that really is within the "gifts" of Butcher. So what if he isnt good enuff fer Hibs or such like - he is happy as larry here and if he keeps along the boundaried narcissistic line that he has followed in the last few weeks - we will probably survive and prosper - to the places that we are realistically aiming fer.

Would it be such a bad thing if he went? We have had one good result this season, out of the league cup to the side propping up division one, he failed to dig us out of a bigger hole than we are in now two seasons ago even after beating Rangers and having a reasonable run of results. He tore the team who were pushing for a top six place to bits to build his own team which is struggling at the moment.We would, as the OP states, get compensation. I am happy enough to give Butcher a chance here but on the flip side I would not shed any tears if he were to move on. Why would Hibs want him? See above for reasons against the idea.

Or maybe the OP was simply trying to create conversation. It isn't such a ridiculous question, wind up or not! Personally, I don't think hibs would consider him. I think they will go for either Michael O'Neill or a manager without a club. If however, they approached Butcher, I don't think he would go. He's taken people like Josh Meekings up here and has pledged to devleop these players within the club. He also loves Highland life and it's not like Hibs offer big bucks anyway.

By what he has said and his mannerisms I believe Terry is an out and out ICT man! He knows he can build a very strong team here, He is a fighter and knows he can take ICT places they have only dreamed off. Already he has the Board thinking his way he is happy with the loacation.......He has the players respect........ Could one day become another Alex Ferguson or become Lord of the NORTH. Why should he leave?............ and go toHibs??????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Methinks someone is either scaremongering or having a giggle

I think because, despite our position in the league, Terry is seen as a good manager. His 2 and a half seasons in Inverness have been a success (even his first half season despite relegation as he turned a 7 point deficit into a (1/2?) point lead over Falkirk going into the last game) and quite possibly other clubs might think he's still doing a good job since we're playing well but not getting the all to highly publicised 'rub of the green' on the pitch . Also all this has been done on a limited budget - arguably the smallest in the league - which would attract the Hibs board.

Was it not already in place before the North Stand was built? I agree with you that it is unsightly, but it's there and anything we might want to do to it to improve its look or relocate it costs money we dont have so we just have to live with it. We may not have a bank debt, but over the last couple of years we have been operating at a loss so every penny counts and I dont see where pumping money into moving it or tarting it up would actually give us any benefit other than the "look". If we get to the stage where we can (or need to) spend some money on infrastructure, then this should be high up on the list IMHO. You're right Scotty, it was there before the stand was built but why was it not moved then? Unfortunately, money is the reason for everything at ICT - we always don't have enough to do this that or the next thing. If things are so bad that we can't tart up that shed then the business must cut it's cloth. If we can't increase our income we must cut wages and general expenses and that will most probably mean relegation and redundancies and if we can't cope with that then we go bust. OBTW the only reason we don't have any bank debt is that we don't have any assets to borrow against. The lsat time we were in serious stook new people came in to "restructure". Is it not therefore time a similar exercise took place - new money - new people - a new start! Sorry going way off topic so I'll go and put my head down.
