  1. Relying on teletext to tell you scores for games that you couldn't make? Remembering the SFL highlights programme shown on Sunday lunchtimes?

  2. Firstly we will allocate a singing section, although there is a strict order in which we must sell the tickets, so please try to book as early as possible if you want to be within the singing area. We have been invited pre match to http://www.yelp.co.uk/biz/four-in-hand-edinburgh which is owned by an ex Hibs player and a busy Hibs pub. They can accommodate around 200 people and we will have this venue exclusively to us (not a chance of there being any Hearts fans there lol). Pies and sandwiches will be provided from 12.30. Anyone planning travelling by ICT Travel Club, can you please phone Liz to book on 07951 309504 as I would hope we will be taking a few buses and these will need to be planned out sooner rather than later. If there was enough interest we could have one bus leaving much earlier, maybe 8.30 - 9am, heading straight to the above pub for pre match build up. We have been allocated the Famous Five Stand, so let's make sure we fill it - I would be really surprised if we don't sell our allocation.

  4. Just enjoy the ride folks!! Enjoying my football this season. The comment about the draws is not entirely fair IMO for instance at Tynecastle we scored in the last minute to get a draw. At Easter Rd we came back from 2 down to get a draw and at Tannadice we were 3 down to earn a draw. Can't believe that folk are still critical at the moment. I for one am proud at being second! Given where we live and our budget it's great we are doing so well.

  5. Just because I'm not going mental about us being second place it doesnt mean I'm being negative. I think we probably are the second best team in the league this year but its not as if we're 15 points clear of the bottom 6 is it? We're 13 points ahead of Ross County and they've a game in hand at home to Hearts to come, theyre second bottom ffs. The leagues too tight to take any real pride in being next behind Celtic for me, its too tight for some of the talk on this website. I hope theres not too many voices in the ears of the current squad reminding them how wonderful they all are whenever the season comes up, they'll all be expecting 10k a week each and an open top bus whenever they draw at home to St Mirren. The jobs nowhere near done yet.

  6. This is the first time since our elevation to the SPL that I personally have not had some lingering fear of relegation at the turn of the year. Congratulations and many thanks to Terry, Mo and all the boys. If the second half of the season is anything like as successful and entertaining as the first I will be a very contented Jaggie indeed.

  8. I am just enjoying the ride. We are second, we deserve it and hopefully we can have a nice wee run in the Scottish Cup as well as perhaps getting to the League Cup final .... that would be a truly remarkable season for ICT. I am under no illusions that we will maintain that year-on-year, although it would be nice, but with our setup and size we will always lose our best players to bigger clubs and the manager - whoever it is at the time - will always have to try and pull some economical rabbits out of the hat on an almost constant basis. Terry has done that for the current season and is to be applauded. I am hoping he will be around for a while yet and continue to do it ! After last season, where TB was getting slated by many, and we flirted with the wrong end of the table for most of the season, and then - in my case at least - I had to endure a North American season watching Toronto FC finish dead last in MLS, this is a refreshing experience ... hell even TFC are looking up now by poaching the man that built DC United to head the rebuild here ..... good times ... enjoy them !! the dip in the rollercoaster that is being a supporter of almost any team will eventually come ....... so make the most of this peak !

  10. ...oh aye, and the strange looks we got on the Ryanair flight back from Prestwick after the 3-3 with Ayr from the Huns on the same flight - enjoyed the explanation "Aye guys, right colours, wrong team, we are the mighty ICT!"

  11. You know you're an ICT supporter when.........you get a nice smug feeling when you meet a Celtic fan and they ask what team you support.

  12. Sharing a stand and singing with the partick v clyde (because they thought we wouldn't get promoted). The welcome we got on the way out and in the brewers fayre after the game. Nice folk those clyde fans.

  13. The confederate flag Having to explain to people who Caledonian Thistle were and where we were from (no Inverness in the name back then). First season when every game was a "big" game. Thinking that losing under 3 goals against an SPL team in cups was a fantastic result. Not being made to feel like a criminal when calling C*unty fans Gypsies.

  14. Beating the shadows....... Oh wait..... The piper at away games. Hating Livi. Getting teams like Hamilton in the cup and it was a big game. Big Lewis getting lifted every week. The terracing opposite the stand. The Caley Inn. The orange away strip. McCall the paint pot kicker. Ice Station Broadwood.

  16. We should definitely be above Celtic with all these draws that we've come back and then taken the draw without trying to get a winner.

  17. A couple of things Clacher: First, down where I live I can't count the number of times people have come up to me and said how well we're doing. They even know some of the players' names....... Contrast that with other years when we got dismissed as a long ball team that scrapped hard for every point. Hibs in particular - they used to say how ugly it was when we came to ER. Second, just as your luck evens out over a season, it more or less does that over a half season too. Every club counts points lost and forgets the lucky points they won. The shadows are saying they NEARLY beat Celtic and lost last minute goals to st mirren, hearts etc, but they forget the dire games like dons away where they got murdered yet escaped with a point. You're just choosing to do it the other way round for a change. Our team are playing with confidence and can recover from going behind (even 3-0!). No predictions, we could lose a couple of players in the window but it would take a real collapse to be as bad as last year. After all, who predicted we could lose Jonny Hayes and not miss him at all?

  18. I think everyone at the club deserves a big well done for the season so far. Never mind Kenny Shields bumming himself up, I think he should put his duffel coat back on and get back to south park pronto, hes a lot more likable when you just hear a muffle. All involved at ICT have worked wonders, new faces at hospitality, hospitality B&B, new sponsors, the club shop taking the initiative to set up camp in th Eastgate centre prior to Christmas, the half time servery are serving at lightning speed, the staff at the bar keeping queues to a minimum, schools getting free invites and even looking out for a local school who had their gardens vandalized, great competitions, even different sections of the North stand are singing at matches, the membership numbers are swelling at Caley Jags together, the away support is growing and I havent even got round to the team yet. Its absolutely fantastic to be going in to 2013 in 2nd place, only 6 points behind Celtic, and still in 2 cup competitions, it just goes to show what a bit of self belief can do and long may it continue, just keep doing what you are doing as every week seems to take us a step closer to a top six finish for the first time, if and when thats secured the sky's the limit guys. Thanks to all for a great 2012 and hears to an even better 2013.

    • Dunfermline 1-1 Inverness CT - Report
Out of our hands now: It ended in disappointment for the 319 visiting fans with news that Queens Park had hammered Arbroath 0-5. To rub salt into the wounds, Sheridan and Welsh were amongst the scorers. It's out of our hands now, but it's a must win next Friday and hope Queens Park falter.  Inverness play Morton and Queens play Airdrie. A draw might be enough, but it's a long shot.

I'm not convinced that Billy Mckay was the right man to be taking that penalty, his second failure from the spot in successive games against the Pars.

    • Dunfermline Ath -V- Inverness CT - Preview
Aaron Doran looks likely to have pulled on the Caley Jags strip for the last time after limping off against Raith Rovers last Friday. Sean McAllister returning was a bonus though but the mystery deepens as to why Roddy MacGregor, Austin Samuels and Nikola Ujdur are not featuring either on the injury list or the team list. Baffling to be honest as Roddy has the midfield attributes required, Austin has the speed and potential and Nikola in my opinion, if fit, would be my first choice on the team sheet. Are these guys on the way out? Add to that seven or eight loan players, then next season will see a massive restructure and rebuild at the Caledonian Stadium. I imagine the board members are squirming in their seats like Angela van den Bogerd at a Post Office inquiry.

    • Inverness CT 0-1 Raith Rovers - Report
Inverness threatened the Raith goal and but for Kevin Dabrowski and his bar they could have been dead and buried at the interval. No score at the break and all to play for in the second half. Vaughan opened the scoring early in the second half and Samuel almost levelled but his shot from distance cannoned away off the post. The crossbar was hit a further twice but the goal would not come. Despite peppering the Raith goal, MotM Dabrowski would not be beaten with a string of saves ranging from brilliant to miraculous.

    • Inverness CT -V- Raith Rovers - Preview
The great escape coninues on Friday night at the Caledonian Stadium as we host Raith Rovers in a game that will also be screened live on BBC Scotland with Raith trying to cling on to the coat tails of Dundee United and the Caley Jags looking to slither away from the play-off zone. What could possibly go wrong? Savage and Carragher will be joined in the squad by a welcome returnee in Sean McAllister who has returned fit from Everton after about six weeks out. That's a nice wee bonus for Big Dunc. However, he has the wrath from Arbroath after his "tools down" comment in his pre-match interview. As long as he has not got the wrath from Raith. Keep the faith!

    • Queens Park 0-1 Inverness CT - Report
Massive: Just under 1500 fans rattled around inside the national stadium for the proverbial six-pointer at the bottom of the table with Inverness looking to get out of the play-off place and Queens one point ahead at the start of the game. In a tense first half Cammy Harper scored a stunning free kick after Cillian Sheridan had handled 25 yards out. Boom! That's how it ended despite QP upping their game in the second period as Inverness kept them at bay.
