  1. 4 bookings- a team in turmoil or a team that competes to win? I defer to your professional expertise IHE but yesterday I just saw 11 (make that 13) guys scrapping like buggery to get a result to make up for the flat showing last week. I also thought some of the passing and movement was good- apart from the Russell/Granty scrap I thought we showed togetherness as a team.
  2. Just give them to me then. I'll put them on eBay.
  3. I'd imagine quite a few of the 320 were tinks too. I remember going to see ICT play there the Saturday before xmas. Santa Claus in the main street on his sleigh 30 mins before kick off got a bigger crowd :015:
  4. I disagree too. I thought he really got stuck in, and even his bad touches were better than Rory's good ones (or anybody else for that matter).
  5. Hope you got a bet on then Pie. Mind you I think you should hand over half the winnings to Alan Freeland and buy a curry with the rest :015: :015: :015:
  6. Were neither of you at the game today? Duncan has to play. So does Cowie. In fact both of you have made 4 changes even though we lost a tough away fixture to a soft injury time penalty. I would probably start with today's team.
  7. Gutted to lose the three points today- to be fair Motherwell would have been gutted if it had finished 0-1. McGhee gave us some credit and I think he would have settled for a draw which was probably fair. I wasn't impressed by the pen but Mr Naelifts next to me thought it was the right decision. I was asked on the way out 'When did we ever win a game under Alan Freeland?' I replied 'Hearts in the Cup' then I was asked 'What about League games?' but I drew a blank there. Freeland managed to annoy both sets of fans with some bizarre decisions and was booed off by the Well support at half time. I thought Tokers had a decent game but I would give MoM to (yes, he got his name chanted today!) Russeldinho. I was impressed by Cowie today and after wanting Royston dropped last week I thought he more than made up for it today. Marius- looks promising once we get used to his style and he gets match fit. Looked knackered 20 mins before he was eventually subbed. Definitely one who can put himself about. Denzil- really dopey looking today at times but a couple of brilliant flashes of the old legend. Looked pretty slow when asked to do the Bayne job and chase the long balls. Minimac- wasn't on long enough to make an impression but seems to have shrunk since last week. Mr Naelifts says he cannnae run and I thought he was the mascot :015: Caff- a bit hesitant. Didn't inspire me with confidence. Blackie- kept control despite the Well players and fans trying to wind him up. Bayners- Maybe could have got half an hour as Denzil didn't look too interested. Granty- solid as ever, would like to see the pen again as I thought he got a touch and the guy went down like a roll of linoleum. ****- just punted as usual but a few meaty challenges. Got forward a bit too, especially in the first half. Mikey- very solid, no chance with the goals. Without being a classic it was a decent game played on a greasy surface and gave both sets of fans plenty to shout and bawl at. I don't think we're finishing bottom on this display but we'd better start creating a bit more.

So what you mean is- I was right :015: :015: :015: :015: To take a simple case, imagine the club makes 100% mark-up on goods. So it buys the tops at ?50 and makes ?50 profit on each one. So if it gives a ?10 rebate it only makes ?40. However if it gives us ?10 to spend in the shop, it has only paid ?5 for those goods. Total profit = ?45. And for a typical voucher scheme like that I would estimate 20-30% non-return, so the club loses nothing at all in those cases. That's why high street shops are eager to offer vouchers rather than refunds. I thank you :wave03:
  10. Nah, it's Brewster :rotflmao:
  11. Apparently he owns a huge drilling rig.

Surely a ?10 voucher costs the club less than a 10% rebate? Anyway, maybe they screwed some money off Errea for the late delivery.
  13. I suppose we haven't had this debate for a few months..... My tuppence worth- you can only blame the OF up to a point. Clubs such as Kilmarnock, St Mirren, Motherwell and DUFC are nearer to Glasgow but have significantly larger core supports. I put this down to 3 things: First, ICT is a young club and we have to look for the first generation of ICT fans to produce more ICT fans. There should probably be a 'humping' smiley to insert here but this one will do :pram: Second, Inverness strikes me as a very prosperous place with a large middle class demographic. This leads into discussions of the famous 'Highland Reserve' (which is not something out of a bottle). The four mentioned above are post-industrial places with loads of schemies whose football club is one of the few things to get excited about. The ones who stayed away because of the merger may have numbered only a few dozen but they're the ones who would not have been embarrassed starting a bit of chanting at the TCS. Third, location of TCS.
  14. "20 mins from Easter Road" my erse! I would say 45 mins on a good day, and about 11 hours at the moment with the festival on :015:
  15. I remember heaping sarcasm on a Clyde (I think) fan on P&B a few years back when we introduced paying for parking. He thought it was unfair to pay for parking after travelling so far...... Same for those who complain if we only have a couple of hundred at away games whereas they justify having 200 themselves because it's 'too far'.
  16. On the other hand, you have five fingers :015:
  17. I thought they were deid :016: No, I didn't Alex.
  18. Once upon a time there were two brothers...... their names were Rudolf and Adolf Dassler, or Rudi and Adi Dassler :023:
  19. You coming along on Sat then Oats? Unless you've got a holiday booked in Canada of course :rotflmao: Nearly forgot- Bobby Mann- Nonononononono!
  20. Daft git. You could have just used tippex.
  21. Nah, right hand drive, obviously she's the passenger :004:
  22. I can't help observing that you didn't mention the line just before "If they go to Dublin we will follow on"! Assuming you yourself know the words of course :004: I must say I agree with a lot of what has been said recently about the 'add-ons' and knowing a few huns myself I know they take a perverse pleasure in squeezing in pope/vatican references to the most innocent of songs. Even the song 'Follow, Follow' only gained the 'Dublin' reference in the 60s as far as I can remember.
