  1. Not sure how they would all know that though. It was the East stand all booing as if they were St Midden fans (well OK not quite)......
  2. Hibs looked a quality side today and dominated most of the game. Not much penetration though and we probably created the better chances. I'm not usually one to moan about refs but I thought John Underhill was a homer. Either because he was swayed by the big home crowd or more likely because he had decided Hibs were the football team and we would get penalised every time we went near them. To be fair he let a few hefty challenges go early on with just a warning (eg Bayne), but Hibs seemed to get most of the 50-50 fouls. Hibs fans booing Rossco early on-what was that about?
  3. It's just the County fans trying to live in Sneck and avoid the council tax.
  4. I've always stuck up for Russeldinho in the past when people were giving him stick. He holds it all together and we're a much poorer and lightweight midfield when he's out. Glad Johndo's expert mate agrees.
  5. Cheers Yngwie. Saw it wasn't listed yesterday but tried it anyway this evening. Just have to suffer a night in the pub then.......
  6. You never know, they might end up against Peterheid in the playoffs....
  7. The bad news from our point of view is, he'll probably drop Malkowski after yesterday's display, and he's usually our 12th man :015:
  8. I'd probably be up for this if others were. Are you into setting up a PayPal scheme? I would have thought some of the guys on the prediction league would have been up for it?
  9. I could never be bothered with titsley but on Tues the other guy summarising (was it David Pleat?) was even worse.
  10. Aye Charles- old age doesnae come itself :003: :003: :003: :003: If you speak nicely to some of these guys on this thread you might find a copy of that DVD finds its way into your hands..... There's a Caley DVD in the pipeline too (allegedly).
  11. Come off it Charles, Wilsie's right foot was for standing on :001: And though it's painful to admit it, Caley last won the league in 88! That game against Arbroath was a historic day for the Sneck though. Proud to be one of the 1700 souls there. Herchie's goals all came from corners, 2 from Bennett and the other from Scott. BTW about the reunion, I've got some pics from Peter Paul which I really must put up on the site- will try to get on the case.
  12. Hi Buffy, long time no see. Nae La Senza in Dunfy? I suppose as long as it says 'Next' on yer drawers life will never be dull :016:
  13. Where's Donview when you need him?

Stick to the facts, Gretna's only half the drive from Edinburgh that Inverness is, and that's not counting any bother crossing the FRB.
  15. Aye, Guy Kerr was the big lad, spoke to him.
  16. Too early to judge 10CC I'm afraid. Pele the best of the rest for me. We used to give teams a couple of goals of a start in those days. Then we'd spend the whole journey home just marvelling at what we'd just seen.
  17. Against St Mirren's 3-5-2 I was prepared for them to have a lot of the ball and that's how it proved. But when we had the ball, we just gave it right back. We only showed quality in flashes. First half was about right, but second half we were dreadful. My MoM was Granty who had an excellent game and handled Sutton well, but he must have lost him at the corner (it was away up the far end so it was hard to see). I don't think St Mirren can play much better than that but still they created very little. Our goal showed how we could knife them open but too many times the final ball was poor, and unforced errors at that- like Russeldinho fluffing an easy pass to Rossco overlapping in the second half in acres of room, or Dargo hanging on to the ball in the first half when he had Barry inside to pass to. We spent the entire second half punting it clear. The players had no composure and nobody would take a risk and pass it. Russell Duncan looked like it was the wrong day to give him a whole game back in the team, very rusty. St Mirren are probably the most physical team in the league and they and their fans were well up for it, a bit like us in our first season in the SPL. They make Love St quite an intimidating place, even with 4000 it was much worse than Ibrox the other week. Unfortunately we got dragged into the physical stuff and couldn't keep the ball on the deck, even though it looked like we could hurt them when we did get it down and play. The five bookings were mostly harsh I thought, and Mr Tumelty seemed to favour the home team, and took about 70 mins to book their player Brittain. He showed his inexperience and was influenced by the crowd. Rankin's was a cynical foul, but Bayne's and McBain's looked harsh, and Barry's seemed to be for dissent. Mind you it seemed to me that Rory nutted the boy and would be getting a red. And finally.... all credit to Ross who continues to play amidst a storm of abuse from the north bank, even after more than 7 years.
  18. We got him last April when Dargs scored against DUFC with the last kick. I remember it because, by an absolute fluke, I met the ref at a birthday party the same night. A young, up-and-coming ref I would say.
  19. Feckin waste o a walk :015: :015: :015: :015:
  20. Brew has to stay on till we visit them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  22. I think I was at the Playhouse gig too, if it was the MeninBlack tour, or maybe The Raven.
  23. Fabby day oot, fabby result, Ibrox today made Caley Stadium sound like a cauldron of passion :015: :015: :015: Le Guen has got problems though, and Brewster :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015:
  24. Aye that Donnachie goal was the final straw for me. Umpteen years of travelling on the train to midweek games and getting back home at dark o'clock. I even put up with Roughie dropping it at Krankl's feet and many others :009:
  25. Kinema Ballroom, Dunfermline, about 1978. The Stranglers supported by The Skids. I suppose Buffy was still in nappies. Mind you 3000 Proclaimers fans holding up lighters while singing along to Sunshine on Leith at the Corn Exchange takes a bit of beating too.
