Will we be upstaged again
I think after the old firm defeat at the weekend Celtic will be like a wounded beast and there may well be a hiding on the cards here. Not sure if this is my honest footballing prediction or merely an un-biased prediction

Team for Celtic
Foran an injury 'concern' for Butcher: Limited options for ICT boss Hope that Foran makes it as we need his tenacity and effort up front however if he does not make it then i would not be too dissappointed in playing either Sutherland or McKay up front as it adds another option to our attack. While Sutherland can run at defences he has the power and shot to trouble celtics ropey defence. McKay offers something in different yet again in that he appears to be a box player in the mould of Dargo. Injury concerns mean that we cant change too much at the bak however id like to see the following line up: ESSSON PIERMAYR---TOKELY---GOLOBART---GILLET ---MORRISON---DAVIS--- ROSS------TANSEY------G.SHINNIE TADE or FORAN

Transfer Activity
Looks like this is almost a done deal Could be a good signing for them, at 6ft 2 he gives them an aerial threat as well as being decent on the deck The Duff situation was a strange one, from what ive gathered in the limited media coverage he was offerred a contract but then went on holiday for 3 weeks, and upon his return said he wanted to sign on again. Then he takes forever to sign and the contract is withdrawn. I would guess he will be regretting his decision now

The North Stand
I think you have a good point there. I watched the Borussia Dortmund v Arsenal game last night and while UEFA insisted that all tickets must be seated for a CL game, Dortmund usually have large standing attendances which are hugely instrumental in making great atmospheres. I know it is impossible to compare ICT to European clubs like Dortmund and Arsenal but i think the standing issue is applicable nonetheless Is it a coincidence that German football enjoys very healthy crowds and great atmospheres in games where standing, low ticket prices and alcohol availability are all common features at stadia? There are also factors at TCS which unfortunately make any noise created whatsoever drown out before it gets twenty feet! The fact that the ground is very open means that it is very succeptible to the elements and with it, the noise is easily drowned out. Also the fact the all three stands are around 10m away from the pitch detracts for the matchday experience IMO because it at times it makes fans feel very detached from the game and players Its no criticism of ICT but in hindsight they are stadium design flaws which no not assist our predicament

Lennon / Juanjo
I think it was the backdraft from the 'shampoo-advert-stylee-hair-swish' that Juanjo assaulted him with that knocked him over
-
Lennon / Juanjo
if there was any contact (which i honestly dont think there was) then it was in no way sufficient to knock over the self style hard man that Lennon was. The situation reoccured a few seasons ago when Lafferty went down from Richard Foster's 'headbutt'. Both were equally as shameful however a lot more was made of Laffertys cheating, Lennon definitely got off lighter. Trying to get fellow professionals sent off is inexcusable
-
Lennon / Juanjo
Lennon cheated to get a fellow professional sent off which is quite clearly disgusting behaviour Trying to lie about it and pass the blame just makes the whole thing worse There is clear video evidence to show that he was not touched by Juanjo before going down so how he can now claim there was contact is beyond belief

North of Scotland Cup
Nice to hear that we secured the trophy and also that McKay notched a brace Hopefully he can get up to full fitness and hopefully he can improve our goalscoring exploits in the first team Also glad to hear Sutherland playing and scoring. He took a real nasty one on saturday with Grainger following through with the elbow in a pretty dangerous aerial challenge

ICT -V- Hearts : Matchday Thread
first half was pretty tepid and largely uneventful other than the goal line block from G Shinnie Second half was better and we should have really put 2 or 3 away if it werent for some lacklustre finishing and some good goalkeeping not quite sure how Black remained on the park, lots and lots of niggly fouls and while most were not major offences he should have been carded for persistent fouling positive mentions for Davis and Chippendale who i think will be very useful additions to the squad didnt think it was a great game for Morrison, would probably think Tansey and Davis will be used in the middle against Dundee United this weekend came away from the game thinking that normally i would be happy with a point against hearts but that i felt we deserved more

I really hope the new signings adapt to the SPL very quickly and make an impression, todays papers are saying we are likely to be without Doran, Hayes, Cox and Jones until December!
-
David Davis
Hope he can make an impact we definitely need midfielders/attackers at the moment to help out with our injury crisis

Transfer Activity
I hope he's matured a bit in the last year, the trouble with having such a young squad is they can go astray too easily. We need a few old heads to steady the ship. My link I didnt realise that it was Paton that was involved in that incident as you say, hope he has matured, if we are indeed interested in him

Terry is hoping to add a midfielder and a striker today i certainly hope he can, we are very stretched at the moment and with Jones, Doran and Hayes all being injured for a considerable amount of time then we need reinforcements
