Team For Hibs
will be interesting to see who comes in for Duncan, whether they go 4-4-2 with rooney replacing him or go for a midfield replacement which ir more likely. would like to see Vigurs get a chance personally

Callum Elliott
somehow missed this up until now, it would seem Livi have enquired as to the availability of Elliot on loan, would probably suit Elliot more in a geogrpahical sense to move to Livi. story here on last nights showing however i have a little more confidence that Mcallister and Wood are capable of doing a job for us so not as worried about being light on options up front.

Message to Brewster ..... Jimmy Johnstone (5'4"), Gordon Strachan (5'6"), George Best (5'8") ... just 3 who have done ok in scottish football over the years despite their vertical challenges !!!! and lets not even go there with Maradona, Messi, Best, Scholes, Saviola, Davids, Owen and others who have all been on the short side !!! If you are good enough, you are tall enough .... especially if ICT play it on the deck instead of hoofing high balls !!! therein lies the problem!!!

Barrowman the new Paul Ritchie
cant say i agree with the criticism Barrowman is getting, it is blatantly clear that Andy is the type of player that will not thrive on long high punts up the park, he is the type of player who will get us goals when balls are played on the deck in behind defenders. his goal against aberdeen is a prime example of this. i could not understand why this tactic was employed for literally the entire 90 minutes when it was clear that the hamilton defence were lapping it up. big tall defenders love high balls played to them but its when its played at pace on the deck that they struggle, thats basic football knowledge.

Granty out?
Much as I like Hastings as a full back, he was dreadful as a central defender against Hearts at the last visit to Tynecastle. I would much rather stick with McGuire. our choices for CB are Hastings, Djebi-Zadi or Duff, despite having a mare against the jam tarts i think hastings can efficiently deputise in that position. i still think Duff and indeed Djebi-Zadi are too inexperienced to stick in the heart of our defence. Hastingas has played on numerous occasions for Canada so he should know the position and what is required of him. i foresee and indeed would be happy with a back four of: Tokely McGuire Hastings McBain

Granty out?
Hastings to centre half and Mcbain to left back. imrie to left mid, cowie to right mid and Rooney & Barrowman up front

ICT Team Guide
The BBC have put a guide to SPL teams online and ours is here cant disagree with any of it, dont think many could to be fair. pretty obvious that we are lacking strength in depth so if we (the fans) can see it, newspaper pundits writing us off for relegation can see it and now the BBC sports writers can see it hopefully the club will see it and address it. or maybe Brew will prove us all wrong and the team assembled flourish this season, i for one would be delighted to be proved wrong. views?

Merged: Rangers Out Of Europe
watched that tripe in an attempt to satisfy my hunger for football in wait of the new season, shouldnt have bothered. rangers were lucky last season to get as far as they did employing their anti-football tactic, did they honestly expect teams not to wisen to it this season? even a hearts pub team could beat it. the result while being a disaster for rangers could well have ramifications for the SPL as a whole, pretty sure scotlands co-efficient will be affected by them going out so early meaning we could potentially lose a european place a few seasons down the line.

story in the daily record here about Rooney and the game against Burnley this bit in particular looks promising:

merged: Adam Rooney
the worrying thing for me was where it says ?It looks like we will go into the Aberdeen match with the squad already here but I am trying to sort out the Rooney situation.? still need a few new faces on board if you ask me, still not defensively up to scratch IMO and definately still lightweight up front.

Cowie Reluctant To Commit To ICT
i see where your coming from but for me it doesn't make financial sense if the club pander to such short contracts when it could be to the clubs potential detriment. the club is bigger than the player and should look out for itself first. While signing the player is obviously the priority, the club should look to protect its assets rather than leave them susceptible to leaving on Bosmans, this i feel would be accomplished by offering a 3 year deal in the beginning. i was suprised and pleased to hear this was the case
