  1. Good luck Richie. At least we have a manager who is happy and settled with life in the highlands, so wont be looking to jump ship to the first decent job that becomes available in the central belt
  2. I take great comfort from knowing, he has gone to a club where he will win SOD ALL
  3. As a born and bred Highlander, whos perspective has somewhat changed (and softened) a lot this past few years...i kinda find myself hoping County win the final and take the Cup back up north with them. BUT, i aslo happen to fully understand Old Caley Girl and others view, about County being a rival when it comes to being a hound for the locals pound. But...at the end of the day.....when it all boils down....its a sport..and really not worth investing any ill will towards anyone. Enough of that and worse, going on elsewhere.

Get Harry Gow Sausage Rolls and Ashers Pies.....SORTED!!!
  5. Looks like Ex Caley Legend Martin Lisle (Brownish jacket) looking on. Fab player...i think im right in saying he scored a Hatrick in his first ever game for Caley (in the HL days)
  6. I got 871st highest score this week...out of 3.6Million players!! 103 pts this week!! See what happens when i actually take an interest in managing my team, after about 20 seasons of picking my team and never going near it afterwards lol. 2nd place...Hell YEAH!!!!
  7. Not being bottom anymore kinda sucks....as i have to actually go log in to the site to find out where my team is now lol

Im happy to welcome him back. Good luck to him :)
  9. Get yourself along to Ashers prior to going down the Dump. One word...............EPIC!!!
  10. As always, i will be happy avoiding relegation. if we can achieve that, then that, in my eyes, is a decent season. I will probably take pelters for this, but i believe last season was a one off, facilitated by a much weakened "Top League" AND i dont think we will see another season like that for manys a year. With Hearts being back in the league, it makes it that bit tougher this season. So, with that all said, i think if the lads can make the top 6, that will be a big achievment. I reckon Celtic, Aberdeen, Hearts and Dundee Utd will all finish above us this season, So 5th spot would be a target.
  11. Thats me joined. I think i should get a 20 pt start, for having a FANTASTIC team name ......which is.............Icy Tea Fc lol
  12. Dont worry....yer old Pal Smee wont let you down. Im BOUND to win this season, haviing finally figured out how to play the game. Cant wait for the new season...bring it on :)
  13. Good luck to Nick. being honest, it took time for me to appreciate what a good player he was. But, i think he will go on to flourish and ICT might well regret letting him go.
  14. Oh...and to Iamcaptain....Caley and Thistle fans in the highland league days were PROPER fans, who were passionate about their club, and not a bunch of glory hunters who only started going because the local team hit the big time. Your bang out of line trying to belittle such people!
  15. I reckon if there was no "refuseniks" Inverness could have been seeing crowds of 5000-6000 instead of what ICT unfairly get
  16. Using my Facebook news feed, on Cup Final day, as a Judge, suffice to say, that most of those who attended Caley Park and kingsmills back in the highland league days, and who are on my freinds list, were pretty hostile about ICT lifting the cup. There seems to be a certain mentality among many of those football fans who i grew up with in the 70s and 80s, which seems to breed a lot of hostility and negativity. Funnily enough, a lot of these people were Old Firm Fans for the most part. The thing i find amusing is....many of those who act the most hard done by (ie, Caley Rebels), I dont recall many of them attending run of the mill Caley games during the 80s. I recall many of them attending their "big teams" games Some of the comments i read on Cup Final day, were bordering on Pathetic, as lots of posts were somehow trying to suggest that teams with reserved fans, are crap and dont deserve to win anything. this was coming from otherwise intelligent people!
  17. Good idea. Theres the matchday ticket with it too :)
  18. I have a mint condition copy of the Matchday Programme from the legendary "SuperCaleyGoBallistic" cup game. Im looking to find a good home for it....as long as its a known user of this site. Whoever gets it will need to collect from King Street tho
  19. well....our high positions have been facilitated by the fact that Rangers werent in the league, Hearts were in free fall and both themselves and Hibs were out of the league for a season. I think once the SPFL regains its full strength, we will be back to scrapping to get into the top 6. Just my honest/grounded/unbiased opinion
  20. Sad to see him go.
  21. Well...without wishing to gloat...i was one of the few ICT fans who was happy when he was appointed. The day he got the job, i was sitting in Weatherspoons with my mates (all ICT fans) and most of them were mumping and moaning about his appointment. I was saying all i can recall, was his teams playing nice football under his charge. So i was more than happy to welcome him. And here we are some 18 months on (or so) and under him, we have had two major finals, One Cup, third place finish and European footie next season. I really dont think it will get any better than that and i think it will be a long time before we see that again in Inverness. Hopefully im wrong tho
  22. Feel for Falkirk today, as they were by far the better team. But...when all is said and done, thankfully we put the ball in the back of the net more than they managed. An absolutley fantastic season for ICT and their fans. Well done to Yogi, Russell and the lads. You have done the Highlands proud
  23. Claymores?
