  1. Ive been releived of my duties as manager lol. Ah well, close season, then we go again :)
  2. great to see all the good wishes. Real good to see mr Paul Cherry again. One of my all time fave ICT players :)
  3. Wasnt Cawdor supposed to have links with macBeath?
  4. Dunno about that. I just woke up to a craking pic of Jessica alba's ass in skimpy bikini bottoms on my facebook news feed. Its pretty epic! Still.....im DELIGHTED for Yogi. Richly deserved. Im sure he will be dedicating the award to EVERYONE involved in running the club :)
  5. Funny that.....as, i meant to post an ALMOST similar Thread, called "On This Day, 1st May 1999" and going on to waffle about what, IMHO, is THE greatest game of footie i have ever witnessed
  6. I went to pretty much all the home games when in the lower leagues, but since we got into the SPL, i doubt i have managed to rack up more than 10 games, due to personal circumstances
  7. Call me biased, but for me....Yogi wins hands down for me. He steered his team to a National Final, hopefully a 3rd place finish and potentially taken the team into Europe, all with extremly limited resources
  8. Now that i understand how to actually play the game...i demand a rematch with every team thats beaten me this season
  9. I was a rabid Caledonian fan, back in pre merger days. They were my no1 team and the only team i actually went to watch (and i miss them days immensly). BUT, as far as i recall, loads of fans of such teams in the Highland league, also had "Big Teams" that they "supported", be it the old firm, or even teams like Airdre etc
  10. like i was saying................
  11. Well done Everyone at the club. Fantastic result :)
  12. Im actually getting the knack of the game and how to play it. As i think i said earlier in the threads. i used to do about half a dozen different fantasy teams each year, select them at the start of the season and leave them be from there. This season, i think its just the one comp im doing, and i have been tweaking my team weekly since xmas and its gone a lot better
  13. I couldnt go Heidi at all. Wasnt it dubbed? im almost certain that it was on tv on a thursday, around 4-40pm lol. Littlest Hobo was another from about the same time. And i too watched Saturday Superstore, but much preferred Swap Shop. Even at that young age, i was one for nostalgia and didnt like change in my tv schedule lol. And also, I too watched Dogtanian AND Battle Of The Planets. And it got me thinking, ALL these kids weekday tv progs were on BBC, did Grampian/ITV even have after school Kids tv back in the day? Off the top of my head, i can only ever recall watching Michael Bentines Potty Time on Grampian
  14. PS, reason i ask is, because the bottom third of the pic looks detailed, like a photo and the top 2/3rds looks like a penicil drawing
  15. Is that a painting? If so, Im wondering if there has been a bit of artistic licence used, as that railway line looks awfully close to the water and must have been submerged a fair amount of the time,
  16. What were the tv shows that you used to love watching as a kid? I was a Massive fan of The Six Million Dollar Man, Space 1999, The Dukes Of Hazzard, Thunderbirds, The Fall Guy I used to love friday nights, on BBC1, at 9-25pm, just after the news, tuning into the likes of Starsky and Hutch, Kojack, Cannon, Petrocelli, Rockford Files. I always loved Columbo too, but cant ever recall the show on a certain channel at a certain time Saturday morning TV, i was a Multi Coloured Swap Shop fan. Never got the Tiswas thing. Too chaotic for me lol. And i was ALWAYS fascinated by Metal Mickey show. Not by the show itself, but by Milton Keynes lol (not sure why) Sunday nights, I can only really recall watching Hart to Hart and BJ and The Bear As for weekday kids tv, i enjoyed Grange Hill, Blue Peter, Crackerjack, Wait Till Your Father Gets Home (which i associate with friday night, pie suppers from the chippy) Top Cat, He Man, The Red Hand Gang, Rentaghost, Runaround, Cheggers Plays Pop, And i recall a show, on early on Sunday morns, on Grampian Tv, about 9-30am, called Once Upon A Time Man, which was a bit of an epic cartoon series, charting the history of mankind thro the ages
  17. Other memories i have, are of when the AI Welders hooter used to go off every weekday at 1-30. I recall this clearly as a toddler, as to me, it signalled that it was time to go and watch Fingerbobs, Mr Benn, Trumpton, The Flumps etc lol Also i recall when all the council vehicles were Orange instead of Yellow.
  18. This reminds me....who can recall, Carse Road, in the days when on one side of the road, were Hall and Tawse and on the other, was McBraynes, which always seemed to have a few Highland Omnibuses outside it. And may as well throw in the Distillery right on that corner too lol
  19. For those in Merkinch, there was Jocks mobile van/shop, that did the rounds. And I always remember "Babs" doing the rounds in her electric Morrisons the Bakers mobile. The smell when you got inside there was to die for. I always remember her being outside my house about 2pm every weekeday. PS, Morrisons Bridies were the stuff of legend too
  20. Well...from what i recall, there wasnt much to tell really. I think there was a guy who frequented the pub, who carried around a box with him, allegedly containing someones thumb. i think it was a bit of an Urban Legend out that way and might even have been used to keep the locals in check. Thats how i interpreted the tale i was told
  21. Do you know anything about the "Thumb in the matchbox" legend, of the Dores inn?
  22. I will go for before that, maybe even late 70's.....like 79 or something...as Eastgate was built and opened by 1982
  23. Jim??? Jim Murphy??? is that you? Im pretty sure it is? #ScratchedRecord What? Is Jim Murphy also saying that Ed Milliband is not Prime Ministerial Material? But just as an aside, why are we hearing so much from Nicola Sturgeon in anycase? She's not even a candidate in this election. Do the SNP not have anyone who actually is a candidate who is capable of speaking to the media? For instance, why can't we hear a bit more from Angus Robertson who, after all, is actually the leader of the SNP Parliamentary Party at Westminster. To be fair, he is also quite good! Best ask him that...i just find it interesting that you pretty much quote the point he has been making over and over and over and over for months on end, rather than focus on what his party are going to do for the people,
  24. Jim??? Jim Murphy??? is that you? Im pretty sure it is? #ScratchedRecord
