The Hartlepool Model
I dont think id be happy paying three times the price of someone who waited about before buying their season ticket. Surely the point of being a fan is to put money into the club? That sed....it would be more realistic for someone like me....on a very limited income, to fork out £100 for a season tix, as opposed to £350

Sending off in goal scoring opportunity.
I think....where there is any ambuiguity regarding the players intention, then the refs decision should be lenient on the "offending" player. Fair enuff, Roscoe didnt clearly win the ball (no one could say that, given the access to the same decision making equipment the ref had...ie one pair of eyes) but at the same time...it wasnt a blatant foul either, so a penalty was punishment enuff under such circumstances....not that i believe it was a penalty in the first place!

Rooney
I see that our ex penalty taker scored the only goal of the game for Birmingham this afternoon.

Best Value for Money ?
yeah...it certainly is...for what it is! So....i see the figure of ?16 being bandied about....so question is....how would one get ones hand on a ticket at that price? When your on such a limited imcome as i am....a ?4-?5 saving is the difference between being able to go...or not

TEAM FOR DUMBFARMLIFE
i would persevere with Tade up front....coz i think once he settles, we could well all long since have forgotten our ex penalty taker (Rooney). I THINK Tade has much more about him than Rooney had to offer. Time will tell. Given the history of our new strikers taking time to find their feet, i think its only fair Tade is cut the same slack.

ICT v Hibernian: Matchday Thread
Im not too worried yet. You cant put 10 new players together and expect them to hit the ground running. Its gonna take a wee while to gel and understand each others game. Im sure it will come good in the next half dozen gmes or so :) and remember, ICT, HISTORICALLY speaking....are notoriously slow starters!

Nationalities
I am also not too bothered where our players eminate from. as long as they compete, i couldnt care less if it was made up entirely of Vatican City International squad!
-
Nationalities
Well....call me predictable...but...It doesn't matter where they come from, so long as they are good enough" blah blah blah (sorry, couldnt resist) Seriously for a moment tho....i had always beleived that ICT's strength was, that we were a Highland team, made up of localish talent and the camoradarie was there, coz there was hardly ever major tinkering done with the squad. That served us well coming up thro the leagues. Terry has come and blown the whole lifetime ICT ethos out the window, so, i do wonder if we will be siging his praises, or be calling for his head, for ruining our club, come the end of the season. Persoanlly....i do feel we have to stop this small highland community club mentality if we are ever to take it to the next level

Owain Tudur Jones signed
Q: How does a Welshman find sheep in long grass? A: Very Satisfying :P

Adam Rooney
I think this was the wrong move for Rooney. I think the fact that BC are looking to bring in a loan signing signals that they dont think Rooney is up to the task. I think he may well disappear into footballing obscurity now....time will tell. Personally....i didnt rate rooney as highly as everyone else. Take the penalties out of the equation, and how many goals did he score in open play last season?

Stuart Duff
I wouldnt want him here. Its so obvious that he was hoping something more suitable would come along. If your gonna do that....at least try and disguise the fact. Nope....i only want players here that want to be here :)

Stuart Duff
Stuart Duff obviously has a distorted view of just how good he is. He had a job garenteed had he been sensible about it. Now hes on the dole and unlikely to find better than what he had on the table. A lesson to be learnt there. Just hope ICT arent weak and take him back!

Expectations for this Season?

Doran & McKay Signed
I havent seen much of Aaron much at all last season. I do believe it was the first season of following football since 1976 that i never made it to a game :( Still..............i have heard nothing but good reports about Aaron, so this sounds like an exccellent piece of business for the club. Cant beLIEve the season kicks off in 9 days.....YIPPEE....i HATE close season!

Lech Poznan fans
that is pretty impressive support for ANY level of football. I know Celtic vs Rangers u-19s finals can attract crowds of 25 000

Stuart Duff
Which is why i think the club should show a little steel for once and boot him into touch. ICT have been more than accomodating thus far. Teach him a lesson i say!

Gary Mackay-Steven
good enuff for Utd, but not for us eh.......could well see us living to regret turning up our nose at him.

Barclays Scottish Open
"The issues at Castle Stuart as I understand it from a scoring perspective is that the fairways were too wide at the driving distance and too generous, ie, the rough was not very heavy and the bunkers could have been more intrusive" When i was watching on Saturday, i did pick up on one of the Commentators saying that you could also putt when you werent on the green. Which i thought, mibees hes saying that the course is so well looked after, that you can do that, then i thought mibees it wasnt meant to be praise, and more along the lines of a negative thing about the course

Barclays Scottish Open
I dont pretend to know much about golf. BUT....going by waht everyone is saying.....surely the Courses claim to be a Par x,y,or z just cant be plucked out of air? Surely there has to be some sort of system for working out each hole, and ESPECIALLY if one of the top competitions is to be played there, you think those charged with organising the events would scrutinise the course?
-
Stuart Duff
Exactly......and if nothing better comes along....then ICT will be good enuff for him then. Ad bin his ass!

Barclays Scottish Open
I did! First I heard about it was when my radio alarm came on and I heard about it on the Radio Scotland 8am sports bulletin. It seems to have been order, counter order, disorder latterly out there today. Apparently after several delays they decided to start at 7:30pm. The players were out on the course, and then they changed their minds and pulled them all back in again. I drove through to Forres round about 1pm but took the Nairnside road to avoid any traffic. From up there you could actually see a great black cloud hovering over Castle Stuart but it was bone dry a couple of miles on both sides of the course. I was at the Forres - less than 20 miles from Castle Stuart but completely dry until it began to rain just a little right at the end. Then when I drove back, I hit torrential rain a couple of miles east of Nairn. This tournament has been incredibly unlucky, not only to get the worst weather to hit the area for years, but also much of the time to get it quite selectively with really nice weather quite close by. My Borhters mate was at Lossiemouth yesterday...saying on Facebook that it was about 21C, sunny and was going to have a BBQ!

Localised....i think the storm clouds had tickets to watch the golf all day on saturday. They seemed hell bent on not moving from the area all day!
