ICT -V- Dundee : matchday thread
It was right in front of where I sit, and clearly inside the box. No doubt about it being a penalty, though, as I said, there was no need at all for Lionel to make the tackle.

ICT -V- Dundee : matchday thread
Great game I thought, and how we didn't win it in the second half is a mystery. Pretty even first half where they didn't really create anything, and we seemed to try and walk the ball into the net. Then Lionel has a mad moment, clear penalty when there was no need to make the tackle. And it was easily inside the box for those saying it was on the line. Second half we dominated, and Dundee seemed to go to pieces as soon as we got a bit of momentum going. No idea what the free kick in the box was for, but it's an almost impossible situation to score from when 10 players are stood on the line. Rooney took his goal well, then Cox and Sanchez had wonderful chances to win it. Both should've scored. Why was Foran hooked? Eric would've been my choice to go off.....though to be honest, how Imrie ever gets on the pitch is beyond me. I hope some mugs come in and buy him in January as he is utter mince.

ICT -V- Raith Rovers : matchday thread
Easy victory. Thought Sanchez, Hayes, and Cox were all excellent. Raith never really created anything, and to be honest, we should've won by 3 or 4.

Bulvitis
I'd keep him definitely. He's not actually that bad a defender, though he has been prone to a fair few howlers, but I think he's improving all the time. He seems to be the easy option to blame for our poor defence when the other 3, far more experienced, defenders alongside him get away with making the same mistakes game after game. All 3 of Dundees goals last Sunday came down Golabeks side. Tokely looked useless as soon as Dundee sussed he had no pace. Sides are working us out easily....it's the full backs that are our defensive problem, not the centre halfs. Plus he's still very young, he's learning all the time, and he gets a few goals too.

Dundee -V- ICT : cup final thread
I said on the match thread that Dundee obviously decided to target Golly and Tokely in the second half. And it worked a treat for them. Golabek was woeful, and Tokely wasn't much better. Yet a lot of folk are happy to blame it all on Bully!! I felt we lost any creativity we had once Sanchez was replaced, and just reverted to long ball *****. I can see why Cox was brought on, but I'd have taken Foran off. He wasn't having his best game at all.

Dundee -V- ICT : cup final thread
Should've had the game wrapped up by half time. Best performance I've seen from us in a good few years. Hayes was outstanding. Then all we had to do was be tight for the first 10 mins of the second half, and the game was ours. How fecking bad were we in doing that!! Not sure why everyone keeps having a go at Bully. Our two most experienced players on the park, Tokely and Golabek, were fecking woeful. They're the ones who stood off and let the crosses come in, and it was obvious Dundee were targetting Tokelys lack of pace in the second half. We were losing the midfield battle in the second half so I can see why Cox was brought on. But it should've been Foran hooked, not Sanchez. Danny was having a great game up til that point. We gifted them that game, after being so far on top in the first half. On the plus side....it was a great game!

Support the 17s
It's definitely in Dundee at 12. One of the lads I take to games plays for the 17s and is getting picked up in Perth on Sunday morning, and dropped back in Perth for the final (he hopes!).

Cup Final Roll Call
Me + 5. Staying in Perth tomorrow night

Cup Final Team
I'd go with the same as yesterday, except put Hayes in for Imrie. Imrie's pish, and the more I see of him, the less I understand why people rate him!! And make sure someone takes Harkins out early on as he's a bit of a one man team!

ICT -V- Airdrie Utd : matchday thread
Decent enough game, and we were in total control from the off. First half we dominated, but this tendency to want an extra touch in front of goal, or the unwillingness to just get a shot in, is infuriating. Too much of it in the first half. Sanchez got the goal right on the stroke of half time after a nice lay off from Imrie. That was as good as it got from Imrie, as he was fecking woeful the rest of the game.....although his attempt to do a 'Beckham' from our own half was pure comedy...the ball just about reacjed their keeper. Second half...much the same really. Eric came on and livened things up, and with one of his first touches blasted it into the corner of the net. Not a bad game, especially after the disappointment of last week.

Roll call for county...
Me + 3 Can't wait :022:

County away
Would've thought we'd sell it out easily. There's been very little publicity from the club about buying tickets beforehand, so I'd imagine a lot of folk will just turn up on the day expecting to pay at the gate, or get tickets from that little booth thing. Plenty of folk I know heading over who haven't bothered getting a ticket.

ICT -V- Morton : matchday thread
Totally agree. It was like watching the Golly of old. Absolutely immense.

ICT -V- Morton : matchday thread
Would agree that Foran is class, but Sanchez poor? He was outstanding today. His passing, touches, and overall workrate were on a par with Forans.

ICT -V- Dunfermline : matchday thread
We lost the 3 points when Foran was hooked. No idea why he got taken off....bizarre decision by Terry.
-
Eagle
There you go, he doesn't play....and we win ;)
-
Eagle
Has anyone seen anything remotely impressive the guy has done in his short time here? How does he keep getting a game every week? I used to think Darren Thomson was the worst player I've ever seen in an ICT shirt. With a few more games under his belt I reckon young Robert might just nick that title from him.
-
Lay off Duncan
He's pish, simple as that.
-
Butcher's role
Time for him to go. I'm losing all interest in going along week after week to watch the dross I'm watching. His signings have been *****, the football on display is dire, and the team has no bottle at all.
-
Roy McBain
After watching Duncan prove he's not even good enough for the 1st division yesterday, I'd have no problem with Roy playing the same role. I can never understand the criticism aimed at McBain, he hardly ever makes a mistake, keeps it simple, is very skillful, and always gives 100%. And he can pass a ball more than 5yds to a team member.

ICT V Ross County : matchday thread
Highlight of the match for me was Foran trying to turn his shorts into a pair of speedos! The man's fast becoming a legend!

ICT V Ross County : matchday thread
As I predicted in the 'Prices' thread, the crowd was *****. The pricing should habe been much more realistic. As for the game, much better than last time we played them. Munro was excellent, Proctor did well too. Foran and Sanchez both ran their socks off, as did Cox. Ok, he got a flukey goal, but Eagle is just mince. Not been impressed with him once this season. Far too lightweight, can't beat a man, and his crossing is woeful. Hopefully this might kickstart our season, and it's good to have a final to look forward to. Oh aye, Bulvitis almost produces a heart attack anytime the ball goes near him :021:

Prices for sunday?
Ridiculous pricing for a mickey mouse cup game. I reckon we'll struggle to get more than 2500 there. ?5-?10 and ?1 would have been far more realistic, and probably guaranteed a bumper crowd

ICT -V- Partick Th :Matchday Thread
And what on earth was the point in putting Zadi on??? I assumed he took Ross, who was getting better and better, off so he could through Lionel up front, for his height. But no, Zadi stayed out on the wing, where he was as ***** as ever. Baffling.

ICT -V- Partick Th :Matchday Thread
First half we were well on top til they got their first. Then it all fell apart. Special mention for the entire defence, Duncan, and Barrowman for being a comlete waste of time. Second half much better, but then Partick sat back and tried to defend their lead. Only positives for me were Esson, who made some crucial saves, Hayes, and Ross. We'll be struggling to maintain crowds at the 2000 level at this rate. Anyone who had any pretensions we'd get straight out of this league best think again. Bottom half of the table I reckon.
