    Sanchez

Reminds me of Bingham too. Great player, in my opinion, but just like Bingham, I wonder if he's to clever for the rest of the team. Aye, his reluctance to shoot can be infuriating, but the number of times he sets things up more than makes up for that. There were a couple of times today when he pulled the ball back perfectly into the penalty box, but, when all it needed was someone there to hammer it in.....well, there was no one there. Thats not his fault, it's the players around him who should be reading those kind of passes.

    QOS- GAME OFF

Surely it must've been touch and go if the pitch was playable or not, so what I don't understand is why not have the inspection at, say, 2pm? That'd given the ush a bit more time, which, when combined with the rising temperatures, would've in all likelihood meant the pitch was playable. The Queens fans are up here anyway, or enroute, so it's not like many would've been put out at waiting a few extra hours for a decision.
  3. Lionel was woeful again yesterday, but in saying that....the whole defence was. There was actually very little between the teams, difference was they took their chances, we didnt. And we certainly had enough of them...Rooney in the first min, the one where it seemed to run along the line, Foran;s shot, Rooney completely missing the ball. The problem with Lionel is, other than he's *****, that the rest of the defence gets pulled out of position far too easy when he's playing. He gets caught upfield so often, it normally results in gaping holes in the defence as one of them then has to cover for the missing left back. Not despondent at all after yesterday, we played some good stuff, but, as with so often this season, we werent clinical enough in front of goal. And, unfortubately, they were.
  4. Good luck to him. Other than his superb goals against Hearts, and Motherwell the other week, I can't think of anything he ever did in his time here that'll make me wish he was still with us come Saturday.
  5. ?500,000 for Lee Miller :wave01: Dear me, Strachan is doing his best to destroy Middlesbrough!
  6. Why? What has Dougie done that has made him hated by alot of the fans. He may blow hot and cold at times but he's still one of our best midfielders. We should be offloading others before him IMO. Never rated him from day one. I just can't see why some fans seem to think he's something special. He's fecking woeful...just my opinion obviously.
  7. I'd be happy to get ?25 for him, let alone ?25000!!
  8. This is one aspect of our play that's really getting on my nerves this year. Why is everyone so reluctant to take a blast from outside the box? Instead we always look to play an impossible one two around the box in an attempt to get ourselves into an even better position. Everyweek it's the same, and the cries of 'Just shooooooooooot! seems to be the crowds favourite shout after Caley Caley Caley. When was the last time we scored a goal from open play with a 30yd rocket into the top corner??
  9. We could've won by 4 or 5 easily. Seems we want to walk the ball into the net at times though. The number of great chances we missed today was criminal. I didn't think either of our penalties were pens. The second one was a joke. The defender clearly got the ball first, and it looked like it was outside the area....not complaining though!!
  10. It was right in front of where I sit, and clearly inside the box. No doubt about it being a penalty, though, as I said, there was no need at all for Lionel to make the tackle.
  11. Great game I thought, and how we didn't win it in the second half is a mystery. Pretty even first half where they didn't really create anything, and we seemed to try and walk the ball into the net. Then Lionel has a mad moment, clear penalty when there was no need to make the tackle. And it was easily inside the box for those saying it was on the line. Second half we dominated, and Dundee seemed to go to pieces as soon as we got a bit of momentum going. No idea what the free kick in the box was for, but it's an almost impossible situation to score from when 10 players are stood on the line. Rooney took his goal well, then Cox and Sanchez had wonderful chances to win it. Both should've scored. Why was Foran hooked? Eric would've been my choice to go off.....though to be honest, how Imrie ever gets on the pitch is beyond me. I hope some mugs come in and buy him in January as he is utter mince.
  12. Easy victory. Thought Sanchez, Hayes, and Cox were all excellent. Raith never really created anything, and to be honest, we should've won by 3 or 4.

    Bulvitis

I'd keep him definitely. He's not actually that bad a defender, though he has been prone to a fair few howlers, but I think he's improving all the time. He seems to be the easy option to blame for our poor defence when the other 3, far more experienced, defenders alongside him get away with making the same mistakes game after game. All 3 of Dundees goals last Sunday came down Golabeks side. Tokely looked useless as soon as Dundee sussed he had no pace. Sides are working us out easily....it's the full backs that are our defensive problem, not the centre halfs. Plus he's still very young, he's learning all the time, and he gets a few goals too.
  14. I said on the match thread that Dundee obviously decided to target Golly and Tokely in the second half. And it worked a treat for them. Golabek was woeful, and Tokely wasn't much better. Yet a lot of folk are happy to blame it all on Bully!! I felt we lost any creativity we had once Sanchez was replaced, and just reverted to long ball *****. I can see why Cox was brought on, but I'd have taken Foran off. He wasn't having his best game at all.
  15. Should've had the game wrapped up by half time. Best performance I've seen from us in a good few years. Hayes was outstanding. Then all we had to do was be tight for the first 10 mins of the second half, and the game was ours. How fecking bad were we in doing that!! Not sure why everyone keeps having a go at Bully. Our two most experienced players on the park, Tokely and Golabek, were fecking woeful. They're the ones who stood off and let the crosses come in, and it was obvious Dundee were targetting Tokelys lack of pace in the second half. We were losing the midfield battle in the second half so I can see why Cox was brought on. But it should've been Foran hooked, not Sanchez. Danny was having a great game up til that point. We gifted them that game, after being so far on top in the first half. On the plus side....it was a great game!
  16. It's definitely in Dundee at 12. One of the lads I take to games plays for the 17s and is getting picked up in Perth on Sunday morning, and dropped back in Perth for the final (he hopes!).
  17. Me + 5. Staying in Perth tomorrow night
  18. Imrie was at the Street League presentation night a month ago, and was asked if he would've moved to Hamilton last summer if a deal had been done. He said no way, and that he would never sign for them. :oops01:
  19. I'd go with the same as yesterday, except put Hayes in for Imrie. Imrie's pish, and the more I see of him, the less I understand why people rate him!! And make sure someone takes Harkins out early on as he's a bit of a one man team!
  20. Decent enough game, and we were in total control from the off. First half we dominated, but this tendency to want an extra touch in front of goal, or the unwillingness to just get a shot in, is infuriating. Too much of it in the first half. Sanchez got the goal right on the stroke of half time after a nice lay off from Imrie. That was as good as it got from Imrie, as he was fecking woeful the rest of the game.....although his attempt to do a 'Beckham' from our own half was pure comedy...the ball just about reacjed their keeper. Second half...much the same really. Eric came on and livened things up, and with one of his first touches blasted it into the corner of the net. Not a bad game, especially after the disappointment of last week.
  21. Would've thought we'd sell it out easily. There's been very little publicity from the club about buying tickets beforehand, so I'd imagine a lot of folk will just turn up on the day expecting to pay at the gate, or get tickets from that little booth thing. Plenty of folk I know heading over who haven't bothered getting a ticket.
  22. Totally agree. It was like watching the Golly of old. Absolutely immense.
  23. Would agree that Foran is class, but Sanchez poor? He was outstanding today. His passing, touches, and overall workrate were on a par with Forans.
  24. We lost the 3 points when Foran was hooked. No idea why he got taken off....bizarre decision by Terry.
