  1. Oh, and I agree about Zadi. While it's all very entertaining watching him somehow miscontrol his way around players, they guy can't defend and he's a total liabilty in my opinion.
  2. I think we really need to address the issue of our front players if we're to stay up. Imrie is NOT a striker, and while no-one can doubt his ability to chase and harry the whole match, if he can't put the ball in the net then what's the point? Same with Eric....he does a load of running, but nothing else. Plus he's way too lightweight. How many goals have they got between them since they've been playing up front together? 1 We just don't look like scoring through these two. Foran should be pushed up front, alongside Rooney...as you say. Both are excellent in the air, so if we could actually start delivering some decent balls into the box then I'd fancy our chances far more if these two were up front rather than it being Dougie and Eric.
  3. We were awful and didn't deserve anything from that today. Esson, Munro, Tokely, Duncan, Odhiambo....all feckin awful. The rest of them....all ok. No idea what Odhiambo has done to impress anyone, because everytime I've seen him all he ever seems to do is run about a lot. Surely Rooney deserves a shot now? Munro had an absolute mare today, and I wouldn't mind seeing young Duff replace him for a few games. And as for Duncan....yeah, yeah, he does all the breaking up in midfield. He then gives it straight back to the opposition. He's crap and should be punted. Depressing game on the whole, we looked back to our shambolic best at the back, and resorted back to our hoof it up and hope tactic too often.

    Djebi-zadi

Got to be honest...he stills scares the ***** out of me everytime the ball goes anywhere near him. You don't know what the hell to expect. He might welly the ball out over the A9, take a fresh air swipe and miss connecting completely, or gather it and deal with it with a flash of skill you never knew the big man had. He's entertaining that's for sure, not sure he's good for any dodgy hearts mind. Aye, he, like the rest of the team, has improved beyond all recognition, so fair play to him. Be great to see him score a goal, though I suspect if one ever arrives it's going to be from one of his countless mishit crosses that someone decieves the keeper and drops uncannily into the corner of the net.
  5. Still giggling to myself everytime I think of Dougie's freekick
  6. Shocking game, but we won, so who cares!! Hibs are easily the worst team I've seen this year, they were fecking woeful. It's hard to believe Fletcher is valued so highly when he's absolute mince. Highlight of the day was Imrie's free kick, easily the worst I've ever seen Great result, and what a brilliant feeling to actually leave match happy.

    Result V Hibs

Even if Falkirk win, as long as we do the same then that pulls the rest of them 3 points closer. Killie start their nightmare run of games at Ibrox tomorrow, so it's not just Falkirk we should be looking at, it's those few teams just above them too. I think tomorrows game is crucial....win, and I honestly believe we'll stay up, lose and I think the task becomes even harder. I think we'll win, and it'll be the springboard for us putting some results together.
  8. Great stuff....time to get the feckers out after they cheated us out of the other cup!!
  9. You couldn't tell from the tv pictures but, watching from the North Stand, Pav definitely got the ball....it was a brilliant tackle.
  10. I voted Killie in the week, and today made me think that even more. They've got some really tough games coming up, and I reckon they'll be right down there when it comes to the split. In fact, just checked....their next 5 games include Hibs (h), Rangers (a), Aberdeen (a), Celtic (h), us (a)....there's a good chance they could get nothing from those. Aye, I'm sticking with Killie.
  11. I thought it was a brilliant tackle by Pav. Looked like he definitely got the ball first, and it looked outside the area. The cheat took an age before taking a dive, and I thought the ref had blown to book him for diving!
  12. Oh, and the craic with Byrne was class.
  13. Wasn't even a free kick/penalty imo/ Pav clearly got the ball, then Fernandez did the most ludicrous, delayed dive imaginable. I thought the ref had actually blown to book gim for diving. Crap game, great result. That's two clean sheets on the trot, and we're starting to look a bit more determined. Not sure about young Eric, he seemed to be shoved around much too easily. And Imrie was mince....no idea why he got MOTM

    Foran

Looks an excellent signing to me. He might well not be match fit, but that just makes me think he'll be even better when he is. Superb in the air, and some of his wee touches are class. He played some superb through balls today, but unfortunately our strikers weren't good enough to deal with them.
  15. I'd go with that. Don't know why people are playing Foran out wide left? Me too. Looks some team that!
  16. I thought he was as bad as he's been all season.
  17. To be fair to DC, I thought Blackies challenge was shocking too, and honestly thought it was going to be red.
  18. He's got some pace on him that's for sure. Looked pretty decent in the short time he got, and some of his touches were good. Could be a real find for the future.
  19. A real dogged performance, and a deserved point....though how Imrie and Rooney managed to miss that sitter is still puzzling. Defence was solid, midfield back to it's tenacious best, which just shows how ridiculous it was to drop Blackie over the last few weeks. That's the best I've seen from Imrie, he must've covered every blade of grass. I can't agree with those who say Barrowman did well, he was absolute mince in my opinion. He just isn't good enough, and hopefully Tel will have seen enough today to realise that. Rooney and young Eric did more in their short time on the pitch than Barrowman did in an hour. Very encouraging start, same again every week now.

    Mihadjuks

The guy is turning out to be our best signing in a looooooooooong time. Absolutely immense today, as he has been from the moment he arrived. I've no idea what his situation is, but we need to get him signed long term. He's the rock in the defence that's been missing since DD left.
  21. Esson Tokely Pav Munro Dunno (not Vigurs though. He was mince when played at LB down at Killie last season) Cowie Black Vigurs Imrie Morais (if fit) or new guy Rooney.
  22. Superb last season, but just hasn't looked interested this year. That's probably been more to do with him being fecked off with tactics, what his role is, where he's supposed to be playing.....our previous manager in other words. Personally I'm pleased he's heading south, and not to one of our rivals. I've no doubt he has the ability to succeed down there, and wouldn't be at all surprised if he went onto bigger and better things.
  23. While I was definitely in the Robbo camp, I'm also very much in the 'Anything's got to be better than Brewster' camp, so I'm cautiously optimistic about Butchers appointment. How about giving the guy a chance? I'm certainly going to. I've watched some of the worst, most depressing, negative, soul destroying, clueless football of my life over the last few months, so anything different is going to be a positive in my eyes. Yes, Butcher's career hasn't been the best, and the guy may well get up some peoples noses, but I'm not really bothered about his past record, or his personality.....if he can get us out of this mess then he'll do for me. We've seen our club come close to disintergration over the last few months, so nows the perfect opportunity to unite and get ourselves out of this mess.
  24. I think it's far from being a two horse race. Six of our games before the split are at home, and other than this Sunday, they're all games we SHOULD take something from. Post split gives us a reasonable shout of 3,4, or even 5 wins, so I'm pretty optimistic that, with a new manager an all that, we can save ourselves this season.
  25. Trouble is we need more than hard work and commitment. Dougie is too inconsistent and he's more often rubbish than he is excellent. He tries hard for sure, but all too often he fails to beat his man, his delivery can be woeful, and his decision making is often costly. I do like him, and his 100% effort, but he still looks too much like a 1st division player than the quality we need at this level. Still a great free kick mind
