  1. It was our away strip. Prop arond 2000 or so. My brother has this strip at home from when he was younger, think it was Scotrail that was the sponsor on it.
  2. I think this is a bit of a non story really and there would be no 'consequnces' whatsoever. By reading other football forums this isn't restricted to just ICTFC fans. It seems that a game doesn't go past without away fans being unfairly treated and thrown out. Certain grounds appear worse than others. It seems like there hasn't been a game where Dundee Utd stewards haven't thrown out away fans for whatever reason.
  3. Another pointless poll. Can I start a poll asking how many people are interested in pointless polls? Then start another one asking how many people are interested in pointless polls about pointless polls?
  4. Calder is more of a legend for us but Esson is the better keeper. It is close between Brown and Esson but I would maybe just side with Brown at the moment. Both were really good keepers but not good enough to earn an international cap. I know people have backed Esson for a call up but I don't think he is good enough even though he is a really good keeper for us. He gets beat to often by shots from outside the box which dip over him.
  5. This Jacobite flag?? Jacobite flag.bmp That isn't the jacobite flag, only the one they have at culloden. This is the Jacobite flag- would leave room for text above and below the box and possibly the club crest in the middle? My link
  6. Yeah and it's just 2 hrs 20 to kick off and I'm still not sure if I can make it so a wee PM would be good as it's looking unlikely I will be able to go. Worst possible day it could have been on!!!!
  7. Is this start a pointless poll week!?
  8. Oh no!! BBC match preview when we played Hibs said Hayes is fit after returning from injury- He never even made the bench Then midweek against Dundee Utd it said- Hayes is out injured- and he started!!
  9. Much more than that! The Sky money is over ?80,000 on it's own. Then add in smaller attendance, hospitality etc Is that ?80k each or shared between the clubs ? I would assume the 80k is shared, the gate money will be shared, but we keep money on food, drinks, hopsitality, 50/50 draw, progs etc I think it's ?82,000 each. So a bad hit if that is the case.
  10. Much more than that! The Sky money is over ?80,000 on it's own. Then add in smaller attendance, hospitality etc
  11. I really doubt that. All the new fans who supported the merged team would have probably supported any league team in Inverness. So I think the crowds would be similar to what they are now. I agree Joe.....FACT....in the 50s and 60s, Caley were regularily playing to crowds as big...if not bigger than what they average now, when they were in the Highland League. Dont belive me....go get yourself a copy of Rod Clynes book, In A Different League....its all in there. I see no evidence to suggest that Caley on their own would have been less of a draw than ICT....if anything...i think they could have had a bigger, more loyal fanbase! I think that it would be similar to just now but not bigger. I doubt there is anyone who would support Caledonian as a league team but not ICT if they had no alleigances before. All the new fans and youngsters would have supported the league team of Inverness no matter who they were. I don't think you can compare things to the 1950's or 60's though as every team had much bigger crowds back then but it has no relevance on what they get today. Teams like Hibs were able to get 50,000 back then and as with the rest of the country these attendance for Caledonian did not last so you can't really cite the 50's and 60's as evidence for big crowds and not more up to date attendances Caledonian got in the 90's.

  13. Anyone got an idea how many tickets have been sold for this?
  14. Still remember him mainly for his injury time winner against Rangers around Christmas time...WOOOOOF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a night that was! Can still remember getting home after celebrating and missing the door into my garden and walking right into the fence, knocking me to the ground. Good times!
  15. A bit hit and miss! Drew with Aberdeen in the 1st Division. Beat Celtic in the 1st Division. Beat lower league Ayr utd after a replay and got knocked out by lower league Partick Thistle on pens. I think that's all our cup games?
  16. I would leave out Dorran if Hayes is fit. Don't think we can play against Celtic with both of them on either wing and Hayes is by far the better option. Ross was excellent on saturday, especially playing through the middle, so I would start him. It is a bit problematic though having Cox Duncan and Ross as neither are really a left midfielder so I would probably play Ross there with Foran in front of him so he doesn't have to play on the wing and can drift inside if needed. so... Esson Duff Tokely Hog Munro Hayes Cox Duncan Ross ...........................Foran ............Rooney
  17. It's a lot more than 44,000 already surely. Think it is around 55,000
  18. Tokely was great today and there is no chance he would be left out! Also Ross was prob the best player on the park today as well so if all the regular midfielders are fit then one out of Hayes, Cox, Duncan, Ross or Dorran will have to miss out. Tough choice who that would be.
  19. Of course they could have. I doubt there was weeks of negotiation to come to ?21/16. The prices were going to be the same no matter who we play so a price could have been arranged pretty sharp to get tickets on sale to home fans. More likely the club didn't do anything about it until recently
  20. BBC preview got my hopes up about Hayes being back for this game.
  21. I seen about 10 stewards over at the St. Johnstone fans who were standing and singing and making the only atmosphere in the stadium. Just pathetic, think I might write to the club about this. Will they be employing the same rules for everyone or just pick on small groups and seems to be invariably young boys. Or will they be showing the usual double standards come 3 weeks time when we play one of the OF in the cup? Will they hell, they will sit back cowardly and let them stand and do what they want for the whole game and come the following home game they will act all jumped up jobsworth again throwing out young boys from a smaller support. I expect them to employ the same rules to everyone, either let all away supports stand or start throwing out the OF fans.
  22. Im not to sure that is correct CaleyD, I think the SPL are a seperate body to the SFA all together and the SFA couldn't do a thing to intefere in the league set up. The SPL broke away from the SFL, there is just an agreement to promote relegate between set ups. It is the same situation in England and did one of the league executives not kick up a fuss when he said they were in competition with the FA? Scarlet- Ofcoure the SFA have a job to do, they run the national team, the Scottish cup, refs and grass roots and football development but they have nothing to do with the SPL at all and could never intefere in the running of the league.
  23. I thought he was from Tanzanian ancenstry. Did his brother who plays at a much lower level not play for them? I can rememer in football manager Eric used to be called up to the Tanzanian squad all the time. You would think he could walk into the Tanzanian squad though by looking at the teams that their players play for.
  24. This is struggiling to sink in!! The SFA have SFA to do with the SPL or the SFL, the league set up, structure etc. They couldn't change it if they wanted to. The only body who governs the league and can propose change is the SPL and the SFL in the lower leagues.
  25. What has it got to do with the sfa? they govern scottish football No they don't. They have no authority over the league at all and have no say on the league structure.
