At Aberdeen last Saturday Tremarco dived close to the goal and headed the ball to safety on the ground whilst his face dived into the turf with an Aberdeen player right beside him ready to pounce. Now that's dedication. Whether he was falling anyway or not, the fact is that he deliberately placed his head forward to get the ball before his roll and that was a spectacular bit of defending.

Billy's worth is not base on how many he has missed but how many he has scored. The pass from Williams last Saturday right across the face of the goal, and others, was missed by Billy by a hair's breadth. On another day he would have scored. With only 9 days to go to the end of the January window it's getting less likely that he will be off. Playing the waiting game is useful in negotiations from the buyer's point of view but the longer they leave it means that their chances lessen too. But if he stays and scores the winning goal in the Final then his valuation will soar---hopefully.

Billy is a more determined striker than Rooney was. If the offer , which will always start considerably lower than the current club evaluation, can be ramped up to close to one million pounds I think the club should accept because that kind of money does not come into this geographic location too often. Then we would have to have another proven striker in place and where would John H. go to get him? ---Stevie May is "something else" and could replace Billy for a few seasons whilst we dub him the "Flying Scotsman" and could replace the steam flowing out behind him with his hair. OR John could unearth an English player with great potential and groom him ... would take time; and meanwhile who would score the goals to keep is where we deserve to be --top of the heap? Comments?

Getting Stevie May for ICT has been on my mind of late. This player knows how to work hard and is determined to score. Great foil to Billy..... Of course he MAY not be available. On the other hand MAYbe he will be interested in coming to ICT --I mean, who wouldn't be?

Dean Brill appeared to be more confident and aggressive yesterday and did well!.

Williams --try him for the penalties. That goal he scored was a real cracker and no mistake. Aberdeen simply ran out of ideas in the second half. I felt that Caley Thistle were cool, calm and collected for the most part whereas Aberdeen huffed and puffed to no avail. ICT's intricate passing between them in midfield resulting in Aberdeen's inability to control the game although in the first half the Dons sure had their share of the ball. Cool Caley seems to have mastered the one-touch passing that we saw yesterday. At times they looked like a very assured and fast-paced side.

Our solid, but packed, defense was a significant contributor to the win yesterday against the Dons. They simply did not have the guile to penetrate it or were haphazard or desperate in trying to score. Barry Robson kept putting ball after ball over from the corners, etc and not one landed on the head of a player dangerous enough to get through the forest of blue. If Shinnie is the best left back then should he not be played in that position? I really feel that the defence should be absolutely top class and then the forward players could relax and cut-loose up front. Tremarco did make quite a contribution yesterday though. He got booked also didn't he?

Hold on, now. What has happened to the suggestions that Billy may be off shortly. We are more than halfway through January and not a sniff to date as far as we know. When Richie comes back in he may need to be substituted towards the end of the game so that will be a chance to bring in ....Christie perhaps?

Can't quite follow what he is doing back here--motive? Messi mentioned above as a comparison, sounded more like Messiah, And what part did Mr Hughes play in the move? What with Danny Williams and Polworth beginning to fit in moreso, things are really looking up.

Ayesettee--the BBC videos are not available overseas. specifically here in Canada. Grrrrr. Still I can see the recoded video on Setanta here in the Wild West at 4 p.m our time--that's 12 midnight for you. How can I get that on T V through my cable? Because I complained bitterly to Shaw Cable about their constant price increases, especially to pensioners and they replied that they would do something and allow me to view this channel for 6 months free then after that discontinue it without penalty if I did not want to spend $15 per month after that . Being a Scotsman I never look a gift horse in the mouth so I said nothing. Lots of Barclays Premier League stuff on is channel as well. Well done to the team today and I am very glad that the newbie youngsters did well--this will be a boost to their confidence I am sure. Makings of a whale of a team here guys!

Must have liked Inverness for some good reason. Maybe the grass is greener over the fence for him south of the border. And that is a big incentive to put some real effort into his play and stay here for the longer term. Frankly I don't remember too much about him but I remember having the overriding feeling that it was a loss to the team. Let's see what develops.
